I'm with the people asking about why they let McCann go and hired Frank Walker to be in his place.  Although the Cowboys haven't been known for their talent scouting prowess in the past few years.

Maybe due to a word I hate......"Swagger" - Frank has lots of it, for some unknown reason. Dallas loves those kind of guys!

If this was some other team i would have all the same questions everyone has been asking, but i'd say ozzie is 95% right on his evaluations so i'm not worried. Probably there to provide depth as everyone says and this guy is pretty fast, could be a good slot kinda guy with a similar build as Carr. He's also only 24 so might as well see if he has anything to offer. With gorrer coming off the practice squad and performing well i have no doubts this guy will be kept if something is seen in him or cut if he provides northing.

I figured he would be ST, we haven't had anyone light it up this year on returns. Reed came in for punt returns and Laquan almost lost a fumble.

With Gorrer and now McCann for depth at corner, this means when Jimmy does come back, hopefully the Texans game, he most likely won't be on special teams.

I guess this means that Carr's aggravated hammy which came as a surprise is worse than we thought. I'm glad we can put him on punt returns while he's here because LaQuan didn't impress against the Jets and Webb is playing like a man possessed on D, we can't afford to get him hurt on ST.

McCann has 4.28 speed, so yeah, he'll be used for special teams. And its true; the Cowgirls do like their players to be amped up and have swag, especially on D, where Rob Ryan is the Coordinator.

I think this is very good sign because this guy is at least a vet and he can come in and perform at high lvl. Like every1 said, with him playing for ST and PR, we can keep Webb, Reed, Smith, and Ed from accidents on ST or PR.

LaQuan was feeling pressured when he was called to play as PR and KR. He fumbled on the KR but recovered it. After that fumble, he went back for ST and made an impressive tackle on the other side. He made a very tough catch on third down. That shows the maturity and readiness of LaQuan. The dude is eagerd to excel and to be the best. He made mistakes but he compensated on the next play. He'll be a good player.........

Hopefully Johnson will be out for our game with Houston so we won't feel the need to rush Jimmy back.

This is a solid depth signing.

With Webb emerging as a quality starter, I'm sure we don't want him back there returning kicks. When you have your starting corner and All Pro safety returning kicks you need to go out and get somebody. McCann is a solid returner and has potential at corner. I wouldn't be surprised if he's let go after David Reed returns to 100%. I'd like to think this isn't an omen about the health of Jimmy and Carr but more of a depth and ST signing. I liked the kid last year, glad he's back.

Once Carr and Smith return, we'll have 4 corners with starting experience and a rookie with HUGE upside. That's amazing. Our secondary is in better shape than people give it credit for.

At least he knows our team, cause we signed him before.

I think we signed him cause L. Williams wasn't good enough at kick returner.

Love this signing, I was kinda ticked off that we let him go last year, especially after he had those big plays for Dallas, of all teams (smh). He'll fit in nicely as a PR and even KR (until Reed comes back). Probably will compete with Gorrer for playing time until Carr and Jimmy are ready to return. As people have already mentioned, we can't have two starters in our secondary returning punts (Reed and Webb). McCann will work out well for us, I like him as a player and I think he could have starting potential (though probably not in a defense with Williams, Webb, Jimmy, and Carr balling out).

As everyone stated, he is here for special teams.
Because, Cowboys cut him, Giants didn't sign him when they needed corners and LaQWill didn't look good returning kicks.

There were actually quite a few teams interested in him. And receiving a two year contract shows that Baltimore has plans for him other then ST. I think it's a definite sign that Foxy will not be back next season (although that was mostly assumed already).

I like this pickup. You remember how he made some big-time defensive players last year (or maybe the year before), and he has ST skills, like you guys said above.
