My Thoughts - Jets @ Ravens

Because he is doing nothing positive for the team. He is rattled, if a running back fumbles twice and every time he hits the whole he starts tip toeing a coach will yank him. Same holds true at the Qb position you are 0-11 no touchdowns except to the other team, and you fumble the football. Why not pull you and see if our backup can give us a spark.
Because Joe Flacco is worlds better than Taylor, we were holding a big lead, and Flacco has earned some latitude - i.e. having a poor game against a top D.

Last time I checked...deep balls...don't really count as "easy". I would say a drag route, or a button hook is an "easy" throw...

Joe played as you would expect against a team who has 3 good corners (Wilson is not great, but the boy plays tight man coverage). Revis Island is pretty legit, and Cromartie could run with Torrey....Doss can't generate seperation...So, Joe did an excellent job targeting the safeties and linebackers by focusing his throws to the TE's and Rice.

The INT was 95% Rice's fault, he stopped moving when it was OBVIOUS that Flacco pumped back and was going to hit him on the crossing pattern....

The low point for Flacco tonight was the fumble just because he had that ball out there too far.
If you can't throw the deep ball why be an Nfl quarterback. Just saying. Joe is actually one of the best deep ball throwers in the league and ill guarantee that he admits that those where easy throws that got away from him. Especially Torrey on the safety, where Joe under threw him.

Yea when you're franchise QB gets a little rattled the best thing you can probably do is bench him for his rookie backup. Wait, what?

Stupid idea. So your experienced starter has trouble with one of the toughest defenses in the league, so you think the rookie would be better against said tough defense? Foolish reasoning.
How so? Tyrod would have ran when those three wide sets didn't materialize. They have different skill sets. Lets face it, in this particular game, he couldn't have been any worse.

Because our backup is a rookie. Being a football fan since 2005, I don't think I've ever seen a coach pull his borderline Pro Bowl QB because he's not playing well against a defense like the Jets. I'd actually be pissed if he was pulled. Flacco gives us the best chance to win. We've all seen his games where he sucks in the first half then puts on a clinic in the second to come from behind.
Borderline Pro Bowl? Ill stop right there.

There were a lot of failures by the receivers to make the catch. I don't want to pick on Dickson, but there were a few catches he should have made that would have gone for first downs. I'm still mad about the refs not calling PI against the DB covering him in the end zone in the first quarter. Seemed pretty blatant to me, and that should have been an easy TD on a perfectly thrown ball by Flacco.

The Jets have excellent corners, and that explains why we had trouble getting receivers open. Inexperience explains why they dropped passes they should have caught.

Pulling Flacco would have been stupid. It wouldn't have made things better, and considering how much we were winning by it was entirely unnecessary.

You do realize Tom Brady predominantly carves up defenses by throwing the ball about 15-20 yards or less.....and he is pretty good. Peyton Manning has had amazing years hitting Marvin Harrison, Brandon Stokley, and Reggie Wayne...oh and Dallas Clark....by just hitting the open reciever........not trying to go deep unless its there.

The Deep Ball is sexy, we all want 60 yard completions....but Tyrod couldn't get the ball 40 yards out there let alone as far as Flacco, but you wanted him in there.....

Flacco was invited in 2009 and declined because of the hip injury he suffered against the Vikings. So yea, borderline Pro Bowl QB. You're being overdramatic by wanting to pull Flacco for a rookie. So please, stop there.

I really dislike when people say that. Pure speculation. If you say more experienced maybe, but worlds better, is laughable.

Oh wait....they haven't. Vick gets shutdown every playoff game against a good defense....Mcnabb in his prime couldn't run away from good D's......

I think only Steve Young has shown success running against good defenses............and he is currently yapping his mouth on ESPN

Tyrod has never played against a top defense, or even a starting caliber defense, so it's impossible to know what he would do (and given how rookies perform against top defenses...it likely would have been even worse). He would not have given us the best chance to win, and given how much we were leading, it would've made absolutely no sense. Admit that you just want Flacco benched for good and save everyone the trouble. I'm not a Flacco lover like that but I know that you've never said anything good about the guy.

your love of Tyrod Taylor is laughable...the guy was a 6th round draft pick and it wasn't because he was a field general, or a good thrower...it was becuase he is Troy Smith 2.0.....meaning he has no heisman fueling his thoughts of "starting"

Speculation? No, it's speculation to fantasize about plays Taylor could've made when he hasn't seen anything like a Pittsburgh or New York defense.

its called hyperbole....like your belief in Tyrod. I root anyone under center of my team...but to think that Tyrod Taylor could lead a professional team is as you would say "laughable".....if you play quarterback....and running is your first instinct...you need to put on 25 pounds, work on your forearm strength, and play RB

It sounds to me like you think Steve Young can still play. Oh my gosh great idea guys maybe we can lure Steve Young out of retirement so we can finally cut this bum Flacco. Ozzie get this done now.

Ok, and if probowls were based off the stats of the first 4 weeks I'd care. Lets check back at the end of December.

You don't even acknowledge what I said haha. Flacco was invited to the Pro Bowl, meaning if he accepted the invitation, he would be a Pro Bowl QB in this league, before Matt Ryan got his first invite. This is why I hate talking to Flacco haters, they never make/use any sense.

They're not as good as they were, but they're still a good team. Just because we dominated them in week 1 doesn't mean we're over the hump, and you know they're coming for (even more) blood the next time we play. That and playing your rival is always tough.
Perhaps but they are beat up, banged up and just playing badly. They do not have their bye week until week 11. They might not have a team to field by that time. Their O line is decimated. It is pretty non-existent now. Big Ben is hurt, won't know how badly until sometime this week but he is slated for an MRI. It isn't looking good for Pitt.

Here come the flacco haters!! Smh....overall there were ALOT of dropped passes by TE WR n even rice...the INT was rices fault but yes Torrey beat revis deep n was open in the EZ for a TD so that should of been 2TD's but flacco did mess the passes up BUT jets have arguably the best secondary in the NFL n besides boldin n rice we have rookies n 2nd year recievers....smh knew it wouldn't take long...welcome back haters lol

i just got back to my hotel room from the game. sure, we won the game, we're 3-1 atop of the AFC North. great! but...let me keep it real and say what some of you cats are not saying or are afraid to say....

1. our offensive production was pitiful tonight. only 1 TD (rushing by Ray Rice) but after that???? NOTHING!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! smh!

2. Flacco just look down right horrible!! not smooth or crisp as a "francise" QB imo at all!!

a. he stills holds the ball waaay too long
b. throws the ball in the dirt when pressured
c. over and under throwing receivers
d. scrambling around in circles without protecting the ball
e. throwing a pick near our endzone

3. not enough production out of our WRs or TEs.
4. Defense carried the offense again!

Who cares if he deserved it or not. You made a joke about my comment of Flacco being a borderline Pro Bowl QB, yet he was invited. 3,600 yards with 21 TDs and 12 INTs is pretty good for a second year QB. I highly doubt you could go out there and do better. But wait, you're some football stud that nobody knows about. Keep dreaming of the Ravens pulling Flacco.

You'd get flattened on the first play, break your leg, fumble the ball causing a touchdown, and still claim you did better than Joe could've as you are being carried off the field.
