Brandon Lloyd needs to go to a team that primarily passes and will feature him as the number one receiver for the sake of my fantasy team...

Why not? He's good and all, but he's in the twilight of his prime, and in his prime he really wasn't that great. I could be wrong but this is his contract year, and Sergio has a lot more potential. I doubt this would happen but a 2nd rounder for him is a good deal
Yes it would be a good deal for us...but nobody in their right mind would give up a second-rounder for JJ. Yes he's a good player for us, but he's not like a superstar, worth a second-rounder. Like i said, i would be worth taking it, but only if i was the Ravens. lol

We defientetly (sp lol) need to get Brandon Marshall. Hell even trading 2 second rounders for it is a good deal. Our receivers aren't that great and he's a pro bowler. Q is getting older and isn't getting as much seperation, Torreys a rookie, Lees hurt, Doss is a rookie, Reed doesn't even have a career catch. I'd love to do a deal for him.

EDIT: He's not on tradeblock but he's trying to leave the Dolphins
Let Torrey, Tandon, and LaQuan step up for experience. We don't need a cancer like Marshall.

You...are...insane. I wouldn't trade J.J. for a 2nd round
What part of "Now, I don't think we will trade JJ, but he's the player that makes the most sense to trade imo." do you not understand?

I'm not insane. we have two second round picks behind him that are developing well and playing well. Kruger and Kindle are not bad players. I love JJ but he is 30. That's usually the magic number when players start declining. JJ only makes sense to trade, because we already have his potential replacements. Nothing against Jarret at all! But the fact is his replacements are already here. If that makes me insane to think that, well, I guess I'm insane.

If Not Brandon Lloyd, how about a deadly WR combination of Boldin, Torrey Smith & Reggie Wayne? Speculation going around is that the Colts may trade not only Robert Mathis, but also WR Reggie Wayne. Adam Schefter brought it up as a possibility and now every media person is running with it.

If the Colts trade Wayne & Mathis, they would be admitting that they want to "Suck For Luck" and admit that this season is a rebuilding year.

I would take marshall in a heartbeat. before having chad henne throwing him the ball, he was a top 3 wr in the game. Quite frankly, I seriously doubt torrey or laquan could become half of of the reciever marshall is

Let me preface this by saying I know it is unrealistic, but if we had a chance to land Marshall IDK how we don't pounce. He is a legit top ten receiver and with the right QB top 5, plus he is only 27.

Plus he is a monster now: http://tinyurl.com/6cm6bwu

Marshall is a malcontent, gives up on plays, and has as much drama as TO... with more arrests, too. Don't want him for the same reasons I didn't want him in previous years.

Lloyd would be more reasonable but I think we're set with our guys.

Not that everything you said isn't true, but Anquan only has maybe 3 or 4 years left and Lee Evans' ankle keeps acting up. If we can get Marshall here for a mid round pick, I'd do it in a heartbeat. He's never really had a locker room like ours without the QB/Coaching drama. Let's be honest, Anquan is not a true number one WR anymore. None of our WR's are on pace for breaking 1,000 yards this year which is sad, and our only true red zone threat is Ed Dickson. I've always been a fan of Marshall's, so getting him would be pretty sweet.

For a mid-round pick I would consider it but there's not a chance his price would be that low. I know the idea was only introduced as a hypothetical.

If he were to be traded, I wonder what the Dolphins would want for him. I can't imagine they'd ask for a 1st or 2nd round pick.

Where is all this Brandon Marshall trade talk coming from? It's BRANDON LLOYD that is on the trade block, Brandon Marshall isn't. Leave the Marshall train behind, we have young guys here and it's time to let them play, Torrey Smith has shown what he can do and it's time to let him play. We can't give away another pick which can be used to give the Ravens a future star who can contribute in the long run. It's 2011 people, that Marshall train left the station a couple years ago.

Remember Brandon LLOYD is on the trade block not Marshall.

Mathis yes, next to Ngata!!!!
Wayne, mabey, he is old but he is good. Lee Evans, Wayne, and Boldin. Wow. But do we need another WR, DE I will take.

Mathis is 30 and will probably want a huge contract :P After we sign all our big FA and we have room to spare i'd totally be for it

I absolutely love Marshall as a football player, but the guy is just way too unpredictable.

Add that to the fact that he could easily lose a year with his track record, and he is just way too big a gamble.

There's no doubt of his talent. That's not why Brandon Marshall is a polarizing figure.

Lloyd is Antonio Bryant part 2. Remember him? Had one good year and Bengals signed him to a huge contract. Let's think about this. Lloyd has been widely inconsistent his entire career and he has one good year. Is there a better chance it is coincidence or a trend? If it takes a guy until he is 30 to breakout then I will say there is a better chance it is a coincidence.

And risking our team chemistry for Marshall is just not worth it. Great, another guy who will demand for the ball. Just what we were trying to avoid....

Stick to what we got. Sometimes standing pat is better than trying to trade in for something. If it ain't broke
