10 Against 20

Each of the Two teams were missing one of their best players last time we played them, Santonio for the Jets and Ed Reed for us. Considering the success Holmes has had against us the last couple of years and the calvary Ed has gave to QB's playing him for the first time, especially a guy like Sanchez who's been very aggressive those first three games with the running game unnaffective... I know something, Rex knows Ed pretty well so I think we'll see a very conservative Sanchez unless we score first.

who of those two do u think will have the biggest impact and why ?

I say Holmes has a bigger impact. Our secondary is a bit questionable right now. And as you said, Dirty won't throw in Ed's direction unless he just doesn't see him before the snap. I can't imagine Rex trying to challenge Reed.

We were missing Ed, Webb, and Cary Williams week 1 last year. Dickson will be the Jet-killer this week. Their LB's still can't cover. It's been a problem they've had all 3 Rex Ryan years.

Also, I don't see Holmes track record from his Pitt days being a factor because he'll be going up against completely different CBs and a different defensive coordinator. He also has a different quarterback lofting him the ball. I'm not worried about any Jet receiver. Mark Sanchez will be the weakest QB we've faced yet.

I say Ed. Holmes has been a "Raven Killer" only because big ben is so elusive and then the Cb's creep up to cut off the curl routes or comebacks to the ball but bens elusiveness and strong arm he was able to hit us over the top with him. And Sanchez is honestly just the next in a long line of USC QB busts.

That and Ed does a tremendous job of bating QB's even if he leaves a guy open he has enough speed to still get their and our defense is not going to give him enough time to really evaluate the coverage when being blitzed. As long as Pagano does a good job of disguising coverage Ed will probably make this young kid look like just that...

I say ED as well......Holmes has a CB to worry about 1st, Sanchez has a CB and ED not to mention one heck of a D-line that has sacks recorded from many different players. I see Ed roaming a lot this game...and IMO that is a good thing this game.

Im way more confident of our team facing the jets than last year. I think the jets are weaker and we are stronger this year. I believe we can easily take care of them. We have more weapons and a stronger dfence. Flacco and rice will lead the way!

The Jets got nothin on us this year. Their OL is hurtin, and our pass D is better than their Pass O! We're gonna take care of business man.

Holmes. He's versatile in his route and it makes more options open up for their offense. Even if we take him out of the game, he's still having a massive affect elsewhere.

We have a great opportunity to win this game and we should. But to flat out say we will win without a hitch is a bit of a stretch. Haven't we learned anything from the Titans game? Any given Sunday. If the Ravens show up like they can. O-Line especially then it will be nice to watch. But things can go sour.

Holmes was so good because he had Ben throwing him the ball. Ben always seems to be able to avoid the rush and buy enough time to make a play. Nobody else in the league can do that, and definitely not Sanchez. And if Rex Ryan chooses not to respect Torrey Smith's speed, then I expect the Jets to pay for it. I don't really expect Ed to have much of an impact only because I don't think the Jets want to challenge us in the air; of course, that's the true impact of Ed Reed, even Peyton Manning doesn't want to challenge him if he doesn't have to. If we get the jump on them early, though, they might not have a choice but to start throwing the ball.

Sanchez isn't a great QB, he will get rattled early.

Kinda wanna start him in fantasy since he will be throwing the ball 50 times to our second stringers when we blow them out....

I think Holmes can have a more profound impact early in the game.

However, if our rush D puts pressure on Sanchez early, Reed is bound to capitalize on his mistakes. Its seems like Reed has had to do more coverage than what he normally does.

I'm going with Reed but mostly because of the addition of Burress. In Sanchez's career day against Oakland he caught 1 pass for 19 yards and no TD. Keller had 5 for 87 and Burress 3-55 and a TD; Dustin Keller leads the team in receptions so far this year and Sanchez seems to favor Keller & Burress when pressured. Holmes success against the Ravens seems more a factor of the QB (Roethlisberger) and the Ravens defense at the time. The Ravens defense is pressuring the QB much better than last year, meaning more errant throws downfield...and that means #20 gets his.
