Laquan Williams, Tandon Doss Did Good Things

17 posts in this topic

LaQuan - had a couple key blocks in the passing game that let to extra yards and first down, the long bomb from Flacco to LaQuan was great, LaQuan had it caught but dropped it in the end. He showed me he can be a factor in the passing game...very impressed with him so far.

Tandon Doss - although he didnt make any real plays he had his chances and just couldnt convert. This is a good sign going forward, our young WRs are learning on the job and stepping up.

Give Credit to Cam Cameron - The Rams expected us to go at their weak rushing defense, instead Cam went aggressive and set the tone early, I like his new daring appraoch to offense and I think Joe Flacco has something to say about it....looking good so far.

Now if Lee Evans gets healthy and Torrey Smith emerging as a serious playmaker...skys the limit. I liked what Joe said about scoring point and taking chances, thats what all the good teams do...Ray Rice will get his touches and there are many more TDs in his future because he has the advatage in almost every area. It was a thing of beauty.

Overall just a great game plan by the coaches, the OL is only going to get better, they did a much better job at opening holes for the Run game with Gurode in at LG with Ben Grubbs out...and as long as Flacco has time in the pocket he can destroy defenses. This is why I feel very confident going againt the Jets next week. The Jets have some problems of their own, they couldnt stop the run, their CBs...especially Cro had trouble all and..we are looking very good to go into the BYE at 3-1 which is great, we could have been undefeated but the coaches game plan against Tennessee did not give us a very good chance at winning against the Titans..even if they are improved, I know we can beat them especially when Carr is back at 100% and Lee Evans returns...Torrey Smith exploded onto the scene and will most likely get double teamed from here on out and if he isnt he is going to blow by defenders...cant wait to see Torrey Smith get off against Revis island.

As long as Chuck keeps being agressive and put pressure on a Jets OL that is a weaknest I think Sanchez will be rushed, hurried and sacked, it would surpside me to see our front seven take him out of the game, He has already broken his nose and other injuries....now the Jets have trouble stopping the run, so I suspect they will focus on correcting that this week and when they over commit the Ravens will desploit their seconary, Cro is nothing special and Revis can take his lumps, plays can be make against him...

Its going to be a fun game, a game I fully expect the Ravens to win...

There was so many contribution in our wins and we are one of those teams that will get stronger as the weeks go by....and I dont even know where to start with Torrey Smith, he should be find, he just had cramps for playing so many stats...to those who think he's slow check the reply, he turned on his afterburners and blew past the coverage...once Lee Evans gets healthy our passing game shouls score plenty of point and with our defense we should be in to many 14-7 close game....We just need to play each week with the same intentsity and we will be fine.....

Sacks by 5 different players, what this means ? It means Suggs isnt the only guy we have who can bring the heat...and just think Sergio Kindle hasn't eve been played and he's probably going to go off at some point...this are looking up

BUT its week to week and now we much show we are a consistent football team, which I think we will...since the Jets got burned on the run game thing week I expect the will try to fix this coming into our matchup....only problem with that theory is the Ravens have the ability to complete long scoring strikes.

I see the Ravens going into the BYE week 3-1 which is respectable...

GO RAVENS

Whooooooa now, who said anything about Torrey visiting Revis Island, let alone getting off it? He had a great, great, great game. He was playing against James King, a guy who half of you didn't even know his name is 'Justin.'

Wow not sure why all the bold but as to the subject I'm pleased as well with LaQuan and Doss. One thing that has struck me when I watch LaQuan (Lil Q?) is that he plays with fearlessness. Seems to be giving every play 110%, like he wants it more than his opponent.

I also really wish Joe had thrown that ball to Doss a little more on a line because that was a sure 6. We have exciting young talent at wideout. Real talent.

wow guys, Im simply stating what I have saw and it looks promising..the Jets are struggling at the moment, their OL is BADDDD and our front sevent will be on Sanchez plenty of time...Torrey got a confidence boost, and as good as Revis is he can still get beat and if its not open there then we can pick on Cromartie and their othe defenders...basically whe it comes down to if the QB play...Sanches has always been shaky, he has had a INT in each game this season so I expect Ed Reed to have a good game...

dont get it twisted the Jets are good but we are catching them in a time when thy are reeling

I dont know why all the bold either, i must have accidently hit Bolf and was too lazey to correct it

Guys were are a better team and have mo dynamic playmakers...and Sanchez is a tunrover machine so he hurts their team..the Jets run game has fell off big time....If the Ravens come out to prove a point to their former DC Rex Ryan, these guys will be pumped to state a message to the rest of the NFL....and whnen we win...MESSAGE SENT

Our young guys are looking promising. I will be the first to omit I though Smith would be a bust but hopefully he can repeat this performance against a good back field this week will be a better test to see if he can produce against a CB who's name you have heard of before.

What is up with Boldin he is being paid to be a #1 WR he seams to be dropping a lot of TD passes in the last 4 games i can count 3 TD he missed in the end zone and a few other passes he should have caught. The TD drop in the play off game last year could have changed the outcome of that game and we could have gone to the Supper bowl instead of the Squealers. This year he already missed 2 TD's that pretty much hit him in the hands. That is just a lot of missed opportunities.I love Boldin I think he is still the best WR we have but is he a true # 1 ?

Remember all, it was against the rams. Our team looked great but I expected us to great against them. Even if Bradford is nice he's still young and never had to face such a scary defense like that before

The TD pass that went through his hands yesterday may have been caused by the defender because he got up high and the ball hi Boldin in the hands but it happenend to fast he kind of lost it and by the time the ball hit his hands it was too late..

He's usually very dependable and I know Joe wants to get him involved a lot more, Cam has to stop making him run 9 routes, thats not what he does welll..he could make a couple of them but most liekly he wont..he worked across the field a lot more than I remember last year or in previous weks so maybe things will change...he's so good to not be putting up bigger numbers....he will have a good year... especially if Cam wants to let Joe sling the ball around..

one thing i really really like is the fact we do have laquan williams on the team. We have 2 rookie wide recievers who played with each other just last year in college. You gotta believe theyre driving each other to get better every single practice, and it appears that both of them have a terrific work ethic. along with that you know tandon doss wants to have an impact and im sure is also working very hard. I really like the prospect of these 3 receivers growing together along with evans and boldin. Only thing that makes me nervous is david reed, guy just cant seem to stay healthy.

We can expect to hear from both of them this season. This week it's Torrey's turn to shine. Who knows what will happen when Evans returns? One of the two will have to sit.

Yea Laq. Williams is the man and i think he needs more playing time in the offense and thrown to.

He is my favorite player on the offense. The man has the it factor.

Everyone drops passes, he's fine, and when he's used correctly he kills. Just need more intermediate routes so he can catch and go, he is without a doubt the best at catching in traffic on our team.
