Where is the original poster going to be the next time Flacco lays an egg? these "I told you so" threads are childish and stupid.
Same place I always am.
And if you think this is an I told you so thread, you must not have been hanging around these forums very long.

No problem...starting a new 'tradition'. Going to bump this thread every week, rain or shine so to speak .... there's a certain few trolls here I wanted to have fun with. But sadly, they are nowhere to be found..

I know everyone points to the Rams' winless record to discredit them, but it's important to remember that this is the same pass defense that gave up the third-fewest yards in the league after two weeks. Their first two games were against Michael Vick and Eli Manning, two guys who prognosticators consider to be good QBs.

Joe Flacco put up more passing yards on the Rams in this one game than Vick and Manning combined in two games.

Great points, that didn't even occur to me.

I want Flacco to succeed as much as anybody here, I know there are trolls but I've been put in that category, called a hater, fairweather fan, and had my loyalty questioned just because I don't pretend things smell like roses when he has a stinker.

I love Flacco but I've already seen him dominate bad teams. That doesn't impress me anymore. That isn't what gets us through the playoffs. Seeing him suck it up against teams like Tennessee (which contrary to what some say, was not due to protection issues) really frustrates me and makes me wonder when he is going to step his game up to elite status, which you really have to be kidding yourself to think he is at right now.

Geez Flyn, you gonna make multiple kool-aid threads every time we beat a bad team? It's week 3 and we're 2-1, and we beat the Rams. Let's put away the party supplies.

Doctor Who will show up before the next Pitt game. Guaranteed.

Well good, seeing that's November, we'll have a month and a half of peace before he does.

And yes Gurode did look good yesterday, although I'm anxious to get Grubbs back

Yeah and with the Texans being the talk of the South, Sanchez's inexplicable popularity, and the Bills sudden relevance, Flacco is still likely to have stiff competition. (Rivers needs no explanantion, of course)

Is Rivers in the habit of missing the pro-bowl? I know he ditched last year when his wife had another baby...
He hasn't looked so good thus far. 2 INTs in each of their games. I expect him to turn it around and probably make the Pro Bowl again but it is a bad start.

Even so it will be tough for Joe to go to the Pro Bowl, like you said, because there is good competition for the original spots. I don't know about Fitzpatrick though because the Bills could drop off and then he wouldn't be talked about much at all, save for the "Buffalo needs a franchise QB..." talk.

Excellent post. Im critical about Flacco for a reason. You can call me a hater if you want but I criticize him like i would my daughter, you just want him to do good. I didnt say any " where are the Flacco haters now?" threads last week when he laid a goose egg against Tenn, and we probably wont see any if he throws more INT's than TD's in other games. What will spark good talk will be excellent play in the post season. Calling him elite 3 weeks in to his 4th season is going a bit overboard.

I keep repeating myself but oh well, you don't need an "ELITE" Qb to win superbowl. How many"ELITE" Qb were watching the superbowl at home last year ? P. manning, T.Brady, D.Brees, just to name a few. We have have a really good Qb, and combine that with a really good TEAM, that's what wins SB. What's up with the infatuation with the title of being "ELITE"?? Flacco has done what no other Qb has done for Ravens!

Many will agree that Ben Rothlessburger is not "Elite" yet they constantly make it to the big dance, why ?? No its not because of Ward lol, its because they overall have a good team.

Roethlisburger is elite. I don't personally think there's any contest there.

And yes, a lot of elite quarterbacks were watching the Super Bowl at home last time. You know why? Because there are only two spots in the Super Bowl, and Ben Roethlisburger and Aaron Rodgers, two of the best QBs in the league, had already taken them. I think you DO need an elite QB to win the big one. You just don't ONLY need an elite QB.

EDIT: I should clarify: I think Flacco can get it done for us, as early as this year. Talk about a contract extension then.

Wrong time to post this thread after beating the Rams. Wait till after Jets game.

Never the wrong time....dude has 7 TDs and only 2 INTs on the year thus far, though he will never get any respect from the select clueless few!

Didn't see that at all yesterday....jus sayin. He had GREAT pocket awareness and scrambled when he should have. But then again, some will always fish for a flaw or two with Flacco!

again i agree!

we both know how pissed off i can get at Flacco's performance at times because i want him to constantly improve in various areas of his game. but, i also know how to give this cat credit when it is deserved. my man got rid of that ball very quickly against the Rams and when he did...it was lights out! he was accurate and on point with his throws. and i will join you in saying.....just sayin! Liking you more and more Mili :)

Flacco has looked great (overall) this year. His progression has yet again continued. I just hope the relentless Flacco "haters" leave and leave for good. Does the guy make mistakes? Yes! Does Brady throw 4 picks against Buffalo? Yes! Does Manning rip off 3-4 straight games with more picks than TDs? Yes! Guess what gentlemen (and ladies)? We have a good QB!!

So a thread like this was needed for Flacco destroying the Rams and one of the worst secondarys in the league.

It's even more surprising considering Flacco has shown he can look great one week and bad the next.

But ok...

Idk you can see a big difference compared to last yr.I heard the commentators again say receivers couldn't get seperation at times. Is it the route running ? Idk but he's a lot more comfortable rolling out and trying to extend play.

Yes he extends plays but at the same time the corners close the gap the recievers had at first and then Joe has to dump it off to Ray. Im not a Flacco basher Just monday morning Qb, I think Joe gets better each year.

you're absolutely right about one thing ... I should have started this thread right after he pounded the Steelers, instead of waiting until he destroyed the Rams.

I assume by "looking great one week and terrible the next" you mean that Flacco will occassionaly have an off game. That is true as well, every QB in the league will have a few bad games each season.
