The Dream Team is falling apart... didn't Andy Reid and the Eagles Front Office learn anything from Dan Snyder? Money doesn't equal Championships. Say it with me.... Money doesn't equal Championships... Money doesn't equal Championships.
I'm beginning to believe, JO, that the Eagle faithful have been sold a bill of goods by their club.

Oh ESPN mobile received earlier today

QB Michael Vick says "dream team" label for Eagles is "over with" because of the "pressure" it created.

(Quotes in the original)

Gee ya think? That label should have never been given to them in the first place. They should have gotten lessons from Snyder...can't buy a championship. I feel bad for Eagles fans..all the hype and again not much to show for it.

I've been saying that Nnamdi is the best for years, but this season has silenced me.
Well he gets some points back for going into a defensive coordinator scheme who was an offensive line coach. That being said, no excuse. These young receivers just kill all of the shutdown corners in the NFL. The NFL needs to change up the rules big time. They aren't ever going to though.
...sometimes its just the system/situation. Look at Hasselbeck. Who would have thunk that?
Me!!!! I didn't think there would be this much success though. Some of it has to be luck.......not the Andrew kind.

Not surprised one bit. Its widely known that they have a horrid offensive line and sunk all of their money on the outside DB's. Their safeties are average, at best, and their LB's are horrendous!!
i agree not surprised at all,you cant buy a wining team doesnt work like that in 1 day

Vick is overrated, no question about it.
I disagree, Vick shows up when he's needed to. Eagles' secondary, though, are really unstable and they're not making enough plays on things like 4th and short.

Alot of it has to be the scheme. When you transplant a OL coach to DC there is going to be some bumps. I agree that Nmandi doesn't look comfortable in zone coverage.

Vick isn't this amazing football player he is advertised as. I respect that he is still the best scrambler QB in the game and see the steps he has taken to become more pass first, but there's so much risk. So much that could go wrong and is already. At his size, he is way more prone to injury and being rattled than others. They gave an extremely lengthy contract to a guy that misses games and isn't great playing through adversity.

It's a high rish, high reward scenario that isn't exactly paying off at this time.

Vick definitely isn't the reason why the Eagles are floundering. He is a great QB.

The defense collapsed against Atl and SF or the Eagles would be 3-1. It wasn't Vick's turnovers that lost those games.

Again, high risk high reward. Too much drama, not enough focus. I'd take Flacco over Vick, not even kidding.
I like how the entire team put themselves at such a high level. Not only Vince Young overrated the team. Everyone on the team made it out to be "how can you stop all the best players on the same team?!". Then, Vick just shuts down the idea of them being one of the best teams. I personally would be so angry if the Ravens did anything like this. The Eagles fans must be so upset. I'm almost certain that the Eagles will say something like "next year, we got this! I see this all clicking together!!!"

Well I can't really argue that, but they probably don't have a lead to lose without Vick in the first place.

Well if they lose to Buffalo on Sunday then we will know something is wrong with the Eagles.

It may be a passing league now, but you still have to be able to stop the run.

The only excellent run defender the Eagles have is Trent Cole. The rest are below average to pure garbage. Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are the two WORST run defenders in the entire league. Asomugha's also proving to be a liability against the run (and Pass?!). Overall, their back 7 can't tackle to save their lives and their front 4 (bar Cole) are as soft as can be.

That's not even taking in to account the joke they have as a defensive coordinator. He was an o-line coach before? Seriously? Was that in Philly? If that's the case he shouldn't even be in the league. Their defense is a complete mess and will probably keep them from the play-offs.

On a side note: How bad has Asomugha been?

I think that was their mistake: promoting their O-line coach to D-coordinator. What a terrible decision. He's playing a zone defense when he has two of the best press coverage corners in the league in Aso and DRC. Then their linebackers suck which is killing them.

I find it ironic that Aso leaves Oakland because he doesn't enjoy all the losing but they currently have more wins than his new team.

Aso is having a facepalm moment right now and wish he should lower his price and join the team with a real defense.....

BTW, noone is shutdown corner if you let his coverage running around for open like more than 8s.......

They also have a QB controversy. Is it Michael Vick or Ronnie Brown?

Haha I think that was one of, if not THE stupidest play this year!

Nice try there attempting to be a comedian. We all know that it's the college star named Mike Kafka who threw 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in college but with a ton of yards. Famous NFL stars such as Joe Montana said things along the lines of 'Wow, I feel my legacy is at risk with a player this explosive. He might just be the best QB of all time. I'm shocked Kafka didn't go zero overall. He's that good!!!'

The Eagles defensive scheme has been keeping him from doing what he does best: man to man defense. They are making him play a lot of zone and making him play the safety. I don't know what went through Reid's mind when he made the offensive line coach his defensive coordinator.

It makes even less sense since Philly's o-line has been awful for a long time.

Castillo was awful as an o-line coach, so what made Reid think that he'd be any better as a defensive coordinator? Castillo shouldn't even be in the NFL. He must have compromising photographs of Reid.

I expect a house cleaning in Philly if they do not make the playoffs, which they are heading down the path right now. You don't go out and spend over $100 Million to bring in multiple players and for it to fail and start the season at 1-3. Like some has said, Nnamdi is being misused and is in the wrong defensive system. Plus he is being used in the zone instead of Man Coverage where he became the elite CB he WAS in Oakland.

This is Andy Reid's 13th Year as Head Coach, well it's turning out to be unlucky 13.

As I have said elsewhere, this may be a "bill of goods" which the Eagle faithful may have been sold. However, we shall have and see how the season turns out in order to decide. That's what I believe.

Wow.... Vick is doing horrible against the Bills. 3 interceptions in the first half including a Pick 6 by Nick Barnett.

Bills 21
Eagles 7

7:32 2nd Quarter

Aww man, the Iggles are awful.

The Bills vs Eagles game proves that Football's a team game though. The Eagles are a group of talented individuals, while the Bills are a team of underdogs.
