Im not worried about cary.. He's fine.. Learning on the fly

im worried about the loss of nakamura.. He's a solid contributor on defense and special teams and there will be a big void to fill.. His versatility
goes quite unnoticed...
But after all that we'll be fine this week..

Pitta and Dickson are going to be the stars of this game. I can't see the Jets allowing any 74 yard TD passes so Flacco will have to piece together some long, methodical drives. Hopefully the young TE's will see a lot of 10 yard passes.

I think you may be right.

I'm a bit more worried about this game than I was the other day. I think the Jets are fired up over getting embarrassed by Oakland, they could be playing with something extra on Sunday. I still think we'll be fine if everyone shows up to play, but it could be closer.

Sanchez is such a weird player, for me. It's like he's no good on the surface; inaccurate and makes poor decisions under pressure, all that sort of stuff. But then he keeps WINNING. And don't say it's all on their defense - it isn't. They have a great, great defense, and all of their victories have a *lot* to do with that. But Missed His Mark Sanchez is either one of the clutchest or luckiest players in the league, because he keeps coming through and winning for them.

I believe we win this game, especially playing at the Bank. But that's a 60 minute ball game for sure.

The Jets are going to have to use quicker routes and 3 step drops if they hope to move the ball. I just hope our defense is ready for that this time around

Front 7 is going to have to play lights-out to get pressure on Sanchez and stuff the run game. Santonio Holmes has always to be accounted for and the Jets are going to get a mismatch with Plaxico Burress due to his size and probably go deep and red zone situations. Pressure will be key to help out the secondary. Expect a lot of plays from Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata as they attack the LOS.

As for the offensive game-plan, I would use a lot of 2 TE sets and go a physical pounding running game with Ray Rice and throws over the middle to the TE. Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta are going to have a big impact on this game because the Jets have nice corners who can take out your WRs and no doubt they will key in on Ray Rice and shut him down. The TEs have shown promise but are still unproven so I expect them to step up at home in an important game.

This game will be won or lost in the trenches. I know its a bit of a football cliche, but it rings true a lot of the time. I think especially against another physical team like the Jets (or at least they like to think they are) we need to really punish them at the LOS.

Fortunately, I think both our O-line and D-line are some of the best in the NFL. I believe that we will be able to stuff their run, especially with their line missing Mangold. If Sanchez is asked to carry the load, I think the Jets will be in for a very long day. We will be able to get pressure, but the key will be containing Santonio Holmes (he still scares me) and LT and Keller to an extent when Sanchez tries to make a play.

On offense, I agree with what True posted above me. We need to pound the ball with Rice and just out-physical their front 7. I would like to see a lot of 2 TE sets again giving us the option to exploit their LBs and Safeties in coverage over the middle. I dont expect to see Joe pass 40+ times again, but we need to see some efficiency out of him. I think Revis will probably take away Q, with Cro (if he is healthy) matching up against Torrey or Lee. Our slot receiver could have some very nice match-ups if we choose to exploit the Jets lack of depth at CB.

I think we win this game pretty handedly, but if we make silly mistakes bad things can happen. The turnover margin could dictate the winner of this game.

I see us winning 27-12

Most people have said these things already, but I think the keys to the game will be to get as much pressure on Sanchez as we can, and to use a lot of short and intermediate passing routes i.e. to the tight ends and/or Boldin and Doss, to force the Jets to drop back into coverage and not blitz all the time; though Joe does great against the blitz. I think the big key to the game will be to see how the offensive line does: will we see the line from weeks one and three, or the one that showed up against the Titans looking like it was made of swiss cheese?

In my view this is a game where we really need to use the shotgun. I've never been a big fan of our OC and last week is a great reason why. Our OL is struggling mightly and he keeps putting Mark under center and insists on trying to run up the middle.
Put Mark in the shotgun
Lots of slants to Holmes, LT, Plax & Keller
Send the RBs to the outside.
If we do this, I believe we can have success against the Ravens D.

Our defense has definitely shown some susceptibility to the quick, West Coast style. See Titans game. I think Holmes could have a big game, but none of the other Jets WRs concern me. I'll bet Keller still remembers Ray Lewis destroying him last year, so lets see how willing he will be going over the middle. I just dont think that your O-line can handle our front 7 whether we bring extra pressure or just a 4 man rush. Ngata, Suggs, McPhee, and Redding will have a big game against that line.

The OL is defly the main concern for us and that's why I'd like to see Mark in the shotgun. I seriously doubt Keller is thinking about the last game. Keller can easily be a pro bowl TE. The concern is Shottenhiemer, I think he's a terrible OC and he seems to forget that Keller is on the team in the 2nd half.

I'm thinking we can stop their pass rush. Rex will be sending a bunch, if Joe can find his hot read we can punish them. BTW , let's not allow two guys to come clean on Joe on the first offensive snap.....

I like that score too. No matter what it is though, Ravens take this one. Mark Sanchez is so bad

I'm thinking this is going to be one of our first statement games of the year. I think we take it by at least 10 points. The reason I say first statement game is because when we ate Pitt up, it was because they didn't play well, and their defense was off, according to the media anyway. Personally, I have never really thought the Jets were that good, although their accomplishments over the last few seasons say otherwise. But, the media loves them, hey it's a NY team lol. So, beating them convincingly will be a statement to the talking heads. I think we do that.

I think Pitta and Dickson are going to be a nightmare for them. We have also gotten a Defensive Player of the Week 2 out of the last 3 weeks, they have some swagger to them right now, and you know how they get when they get like that. I think Ngata and Suggs steal the show. 27 - 13 Birds.

Man, I was at that game with my wife. That play was horrendous to watch and the abuse we took from the fans afterwards was horrible, lol. We did, however, laugh last. :)

And we'll get the last one Sunday night too. I'm tired of the New York Rexs

I'm so ready for this game. I think we have more advantages in this game, even if they are only slight advantages. The Jets will be pumped up and are looking at this game as an opportunity to prove themselves, including Rex. They'll play hard, we know that. However, Ray and company on D and Joe and company on O will be just as, if not more, pumped up playing at home with the crowd cheering non-stop. This will also be, whether we believe it should or not, a game to prove ourselves as well. The stage is set, now all we need is for the Ravens to show up and play an aggressive 60 minute game. The only outcome prediction I have is a Ravens' win.

After the Jets put up a 2 point conversion late in game out of sheer desperation, we reciprocate by doing the same with a quick strike and our own 2 point conversion = 25-11 Ravens :)

Nah, he'll test a hobbled Cromartie or a still very young Wilson. The real test will be your oline and our front 7. That's going to be a tough situation for you all with or without Mangold!

last time you played wilson it was his 1st game. he's looked like a stud so far and has worked out with revis all offseason. he is learning from the best. cro is your best chance and i think he's gonna have a huge game for us

Their pass rush is prett weak so I hope they do. Have revis on boldin, lee evans on kyle wilson if cro don't play, and some poor guu on torrey smith in the slot. Quick intermediate passes all day. I forgot to mention ed dickson.
