Last year against the Jet's we handled ourselves just fine with our o-line problems and brand new receivers (that was Bolden's first game here i believe, and i dont recall Housh-your-mama being a part of the offense then) so I think our OFFENSE has the potential to put up atleast 21... the DEFENSE has to be prepared for the challenge ahead though.
What challenge, Sanchez can't do anything.

This game is going to come down to which defense breaks the most. Outside of the corners, the Jets defense is rather weak, so that is a favorable match-up. The smart thing to do is work the middle and run a lot of two TE sets, since the Jets have terrible linebackers. This game is on the offense though, I think our defense can handle Holmes and Burress, and I think Greene is overrated.

If the team shows up to play, we'll be fine. I don't think we'll have a hangover after the Rams' game.

Exactly, you put some pressure on him and he makes bad decisions, it's that simple. If he has time though, he has enough weapons to do some damage. Hopefully we get healthy and maybe Jimmy makes his debut, show the Jets what a real shutdown corner is

I fixed it for ya, our D will be just fine, CB's just have to stay aware of Sanchez just jacking the ball deep hoping for a spectacular catch or PI!

Read on ESPN mobile a few minutes ago that Cromartie got hurt this week....rib injury, possible bruised lung.

Looks like he might not even play next week.

If mangold is out, I have to like the ravens in this game. Ngata and suggs will destroy the interior of their line.

Even better if cromartie is out because that puts wilson as their #2 who we owned last year. That also pushes their 4th corner into the nickle which torrey smith could take advantage of

Dickson, Pitta and Rice will be the main keys on offense. That's not saying that I have no faith in Evans or Boldin to contribute, just that the obvious strength of the Jets' defense are their corners. Even so, Cromartie is pathetic at times and I would look to exploit that if Q is matched up with him at any point. I like the matchup of Dickson on their safeties and Rice causes problems with every team.

On defense, we need to shut the run down early so that Sanchez is forced into throwing the ball more and cut out the big plays. If we can make it like it was last year where Sanchez was too scared to throw the ball more than 10 yards, we should win.

Oh, and another hit from Ray on Keller (or anybody) would be a bonus

There is a 100% chance the Ravens win game. Jets are O.V.E.R.A.T.E.D.

I'll be back with my score prediction later this week
Is this the same percentage we had when we faced the Titans?

The way I am looking at each game is opportunities. The Ravens have a great opportunity to go 3-1.

Bring it !!!!!!!!

I hope no one expects a huge win. Too much pride at steak for Rex and his team. This will be a tough one for sure.
Yeah this will be a tough one because Rex feels he has something to prove to the Ravens front office. We win a close one.

I feel you on that...but the Raiders are looking pretty good this year; it might just be a loss to a good team nobody is willing to give credit to just yet (which would mean we can emphasize the dilution of the Jets caliber just yet). Just my opinion, though. All will be revealed next week.
Raiders were 8-8 last year right their an up and coming team in spite of their crazy owner.

Does anybody think us as fans seem a little over confident after today's win, I'm thinking we're gonna win but I remember that 13-10 victory opening day last year and can't help but think this game could be similar. I just don't want to see us go from the Steelers game to the Titans game all over again.

If I'm wrong or nit picking, put me in my place
We as fans can afford to be over confident we dont play the game but the Ravens know this game is not going to be an easy one. Ravens win in a close one.

I'll be at this game, first game of the season, OH YEAH! (Rick Flair Voice).. But both sides are going to crank up the intensity. But I think homefield advantage honestly gives us an edge, even if its on a safety or field goal. lol

BTW will Evans be back for this game? With Torrey getting his feet under him a bit today, Boldin-Evans-Smith could truely put a hurting on NY's CB's. What do you think? Rice could run on them like we ran on the Steelers, assuming we throw down the field and scare them like we did to the Rams today.
Lol I thought Randy Savage did the OH YEAH thing

The way the Jets have allowed themselves to be perceived in B-More will lay ground for an extremely loud crowd in B-More on national tv.

This is going to play a major factor with Sanchez and his communication. Best option is to run the ball effectively, which they cannot do. 12th man will play a big part in this game.

If we're going to beat the Jets, or even go far into the playoffs, we have to work on our redzone offense.. its atrocious.
True. I love Billy, and have him on my FF team, but he shouldn't be kicking that many chip-shots.

They lost two of their best players in the offseason. They're pretty bad to be honest, they swept their division last year and still couldn't find a way to win it. Even the Bungles did that.

I agree with what you say about Mark, he can and does make bad decisions, but he also threw for 369 and 2 TDs plus he ran for another.

As for the bolded part, is that a veiled dig at Revis? If so, you don't understand the concept of a shutdown corner.

LOL, 100% chance huh? You must have a crystal ball over there are something that we don't know about ? It's only a few things in life that's 100% guarenteed and the Ravens beating the Jets is not one of them. Our chances are strong but it was even stronger vs the Titans. Sanchez is overrated the most on that team!

Jets should be a good test to see where we are after playing a perceived weak Titans and a proven weak Rams.

I really don't expect the Jets to do much to us though. They looked pretty awful in the two games where they played actual football teams (jags are reeling)

We all know Dallas should have won that 1st one and the Raiders just anhilated the Jets. I think the Raiders are decent.

Our o-line looked great yesterday and another week is always a plus for the group.

Torrey Smith just put the league on notice. Rice will definitely have a good game.

Also, our Defense is not that far removed from Rex so they can run like the Jets all week for Flacco and company. We have plenty to go on for the Jets and they have what, 3 games on our new look offense?

I think it will be close for a while until we pull away from them. I think we can put up 24+ on the Jets

Hmm if lee is back for this game that would be great...

Really it cones down to the oline.. If they block then there is no way jets can stop boldin, evans, torrey, dickson, pitta and rice

hes RT, going up against JJ, Suggs will be on Ferguson.
I hope kindle is activated, ngata and cody will eat up the three interior linemen with no mangold, redding/mcphee one on one with RT, Suggs on ferguson with i assume some help (te/Fb) so that leaves our lolb if he rushes one on one with a te/fb (whichever doesnt help out on suggs).. Kindle has the athletiscism and speed to beat any jets te/fb one on one.. he could have a big day.. i can see us hitting sanchez all day long!!

A cake walk? Doubtful, the Jets are a formidable team. No questions, I think we have a few more horses in the stable and more solid QB play. Suggs is licking his chops, the Jets O-line is banged up pretty good and Franchez has been getting pounded not to mention the lack of running game the Jets have had on display.! Holmes will probably have a big few plays ( he always seems to). I think they're going to attempt to use LT a lot in this game, mainly on passing plays. Trying to isolate Ray Lewis . Keller will be vital to their attempts at success too. I hear Cromartie may have brusied Lungs, I wonder what effect it will have?

It would be GREAT to have Boldin, Evans and Smith on the field with Dickson being the TE. Ray Rice will have a big game. This team is FAR different then the one the Jets saw last year, a lot more team speed and more playmakers on offense and Defense!

I wanna hear the back and forth!

The D's right, which puts him against the opposing LT most of the time. He plays RDE on most rush plays.

It was part veiled dig, and the other part was me trying to hype him up a bit. He has the tools to be one and there isnt a better stage to prove it

He won't be playing.

I also don't know why on earth you'd think he'll be better then Revis in his first game.
