See, the Jets are a tricky one to talk about right about now. They're 2-1, 3rd in the AFC East, and no one's talking about them (probably because they're not talking about anyone else). With their loss to the Raiders, I think I'm starting to feel that they might be losing their edge and playoff caliber status.

That being said, it's Rex's and Bart's first trip to the bank in the reg. season since they went up to NY. You know, especially after the way they played today, that they'll be looking for a huge win.

Part of me thinks that Rex and co. will have something in store for us, while part of me thinks the Ravens win over the Rams and the Jets loss to the Raiders each symbolize turning points for both teams.

Bring it !!!!!!!!

I hope no one expects a huge win. Too much pride at steak for Rex and his team. This will be a tough one for sure.

Ha. I like how you spelled stake in the sentence with Rex.

If we're going to beat the Jets, or even go far into the playoffs, we have to work on our redzone offense.. its atrocious.
I agree...but it sure is better than last year (so far at least).

I feel you on that...but the Raiders are looking pretty good this year; it might just be a loss to a good team nobody is willing to give credit to just yet (which would mean we can emphasize the dilution of the Jets caliber just yet). Just my opinion, though. All will be revealed next week.

Plaxico Burress scares me in this game. He makes Kenny Britt look like a child. Who do the Ravens have that can match up with him? Has anyone heard anything about Jimmy Smith?

Most reports have him back the game after the Bye, if not later.

Run DMC dominated the Jets today. If we can get Rice going like that, we'll be in good shape on Sunday night.
We need to get Rice to the outside. The Rice screen passes and flats should pay huge dividends in this game

McFadden and Ray Rice are two entirely different running backs IMO

Looks like Mangold could be out for this one too, I expect Ngata to have a huge game.

Making a real bold assumption there. :P

Does anybody think us as fans seem a little over confident after today's win, I'm thinking we're gonna win but I remember that 13-10 victory opening day last year and can't help but think this game could be similar. I just don't want to see us go from the Steelers game to the Titans game all over again.

If I'm wrong or nit picking, put me in my place

Last year against the Jet's we handled ourselves just fine with our o-line problems and brand new receivers (that was Bolden's first game here i believe, and i dont recall Housh-your-mama being a part of the offense then) so I think our OFFENSE has the potential to put up atleast 21... the DEFENSE has to be prepared for the challenge ahead though.

Our pass defense really worries me.  Hopefully Suggs will have Sanchez on his back a lot.
But Sanchez doesnt...

I'll be at this game, first game of the season, OH YEAH! (Rick Flair Voice).. But both sides are going to crank up the intensity. But I think homefield advantage honestly gives us an edge, even if its on a safety or field goal. lol

BTW will Evans be back for this game? With Torrey getting his feet under him a bit today, Boldin-Evans-Smith could truely put a hurting on NY's CB's. What do you think? Rice could run on them like we ran on the Steelers, assuming we throw down the field and scare them like we did to the Rams today.
