yes but none of that counts because we are 'supposed to do that' against the Rams.

The Steelers game doesn't count either because the Peyton-less Colts scored a whopping 20 points against them Sunday night, so obviously the Steeler defense sucks too.

I am so happy that Ray Rice might finally get off our top receivers list. Nice job Cam. Lets get everybody involved in the offense.

That is true, but it wasn't Cam's fault. Boldin dropped a pair of TD passes...so Cam put our offense in position to score, but we failed to execute.

i said NOTHING about Cam in my post so why did you mention him here Fly?

"(2008-10) Over that span, the Ravens have rushed for 133.5 yards per game and scored 53 rushing TDs, both fifth most in the NFL. In addition, Baltimore, which set a team record with only 22 turnovers in 2010, has committed only 63 turnovers, tied for the NFL’s third-fewest, since 2008. The team’s 2008 first-round draft pick, QB Joe Flacco, became Baltimore’s all-time leading passer in 2010 (878 of 1,416 for 10,206 yards, 60 TDs and an 87.9 rating). Among starting NFL QBs, Flacco is second (Peyton Manning, 38) with 36 wins (including playoffs) since 2008. In 2009, the Ravens were the NFL’s ninth best in scoring (24.4 ppg), up from 24th in 2007, also setting franchise records for most total TDs (47) and most rushing TDs (22). Among other notable stats in 2009, Baltimore produced the top three offensive total yards games in team history. In his first season in Baltimore (2008), Cameron built a creative offense that ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing (148.5 ypg), first in time of possession (33:10) and 11th in points per game (24.1 ppg)"

and all we did so far in 2011 is: smash the steelers, over 80 pts in 3 games, franchise-best 406 total yards in the first two quarters, the biggest half in team history, franchise record in total yards (553) in a single game, Flacco set a new career mark with 389 passing yards, Smith's five catches for 152 yards (30.4-yard average) nfl record.

Great post. Goes to show you that there will always be complaints about a team. Sometimes warranted and sometimes not. I believe in football the qb and oc get the brunt of it.

When everything is said and done, we have grown as an offense over the years and we will continue to grow. Whether or not we are reaching our potential is the true question, and that is too hard to quantify, therefore there will always be skeptics and haters. That is the point (whether people like it or not) of message boards.

People have to learn to be patient here. One of the things that erked me the most was all the hate on Torrey. So happy that he was able to throw it in the haters' face.

As far as the Rams game goes I have to agree that it was purely the fault of poor execution after the first quarter. We were moving the ball but our red zone offense stuttered. And you know how I'd love to blame Cam lol

Cam will be blamed for 1 thing creating a high octane offense and not producing with it...
We cannot deny that he helped build a team, who didn't have an offense, and now can perform. If they don't perform then I cannot tell you not to place blame on the OC. Appreciate what he has brought the chemistry it takes to build an offense. This is what he brought to this city hope to rely solely on an offense to produce points. This being said not to leave it to the special team gunners, and the defense to put boasters on there 4-3 corners after an interception...

I'm a Flacco Fan and I don't blame his shortcomings entirely on him.
When he has time to throw and the receivers are open, he throws the best looking pass in the NFL.
Alot of the problems Joe has, are shared problems between team and coaches.

Example,
Boldin seems to have trouble getting open. Is it because he lacks talent or is it the route he is running.

The coaches need to put the players in the best position possible so they can succeed. This is a basic management concept. Cam doesn't understand this concept. Even though it is obvious that Boldin's strength is across the middle, (because he is not a speedster), Cam keeps sending him up the sidelines and on deep routes where he can't get the separation he needs.

If Boldin is not as fast as the corner, Cam should recognize this and modify plays to allow Boldin to get separation. Instead the play consists of run down the sideline and Joe will throw you the ball.

The coach needs to recognize the strengths of his players and design the game plan to take advantage of that. Instead Cam has a set number of plays and the players have to try and make them work even when the players style and skill set are different than what the play is designed for. It makes me think that he collected plays from other coaches instead of designing them for the team. These plays are the same, year after year.

His creativity has been
1. Let Nata Run the ball
2. Let Stallworth run the ball
3. Tell Torrey to run as fast as he can and Joe will throw you the ball (sound familiar)

Fortunately for Cam, the Ravens have very talented players and sometimes they make Cam look like a freakin genius.

That's just the curse of knowing your team so intimately though. I bet warden and prophet are a lot more critical of their own team.

Flacco's a different matter however. Some of the heat he gets from Ravens fans is unbelievable

1. NGATA has not run the ball yet... he's blocked, but hasn't run the ball..........
2. I'll give ya that, but Stallworth did have a decent YPC avg (45yds on 5 attempts) on those end arounds... Just sayin...
3.. Isn't that kinda the whole idea of playing WR? Outrun the CB and catch the ball? Hmm...

1. Nata was last year
2. Ok -
3. But that was all Cam had for a game plan, after that the team was dead in the water, against a bad Rams team.
The play wasn't creative. That was my point.

How do you know that was all he had? He didn't NEED to change anything. Dunno if you watched the game or anything, but ... it kind of worked.
