After a very good showing the last few weeks of last season, I was hopeful it was a sign of things to come.

Week one of this season, Cam did a great job leading us to the destruction of PIT.

Despite a couple questionable calls last week in our loss to TEN, it was ultimately great defense and poor execution that killed us. Despite what many of you may say, I think Cam did well last week.

And now, today was far and away the greatest game I have ever witnessed Cam call.

So, gotta give the man his due. He has done an outstanding job with this offense, and am thoroughly pleased with the trust he has put in Flacco.

Well done Cam.
I wouldnt say that just yet, lets see if it keeps going. I dont care what anyone says, i dont like cam cameron and NO 1 will convince me other wise. I want to see more of the throwing game, i like it and i think we have the talent.

I never criticized your comment. All I did was offered my own then you said my comment was hilarious. Im not being sarcastic and I haven't said anything sarcastic. You're just one of "those guys" that swarm to anyone with a different opinion.<Deleted> I don't like Cam Cameron, probably never will.

Why not? Like I said, I thought he did pretty well the last few weeks of last season, and has been excellent through the first three weeks this season. If the guy did a good job, he did a good job. No harm in acknowledging that.
Of course, it's possible he could revert to his old ways...but until he does, no point in hating on him over what happened last year. A new year brings new hope and opportunities. I even said a couple times in the preseason that he is going to pleasantly surprise many of us, myself included...I mean, after all, his job here is depending on it.

I don't really think this game was a case of good play-calling so much as the Ravens being a much more talented and seasoned team than the Rams.
Poor Cam just cant win! If he had sent Torrey on a few end arounds, Cam would have been a moron, and he should have used Torrey to stretch the field. But he uses Torrey to stretch the field to great success, and now it's just that our players overmatched a weaker opponent...

Yea he or someone did a great job today, but its the inconsistency that is a problem. And im not talking about the players executing plays, im talking about when plays arnt working, STOP trying them over and over again. Case in point, last week , they kept running it up the middle when they clearly were not getting through nor were they wearing down the defense. Also last week , taking 5 mins off the clock when we clearly needed more time. If thats not camerons fault then i dont know what is, you cant blame it on Joe because they would have told him to hurry up, wouldnt they???

Even though Harb's coaching staff is overall pretty darn consistent in a yearly sense. I still think from game to game consistency especially with the offense needs to be addressed and adjusted. Players that go hard 1 week and rest the next week need to pick up slack and go hard for a whole season!

No need to exaggerate my position, just saying I didn't see how Cam's play-calling really came into effect in this game.

To me its a catch 22, Yea i want the RAVENS to win a SUPERBOWL but that mean more than likely Cam will keep his Job. I'll be a Cam hater until i see more consistency and better play calling. Today was a good start but we had games like that last yr. We should have and did win this game but we should have won the last game too. Right now we should be undefeated because we have alot tougher opponents coming up and we have to stay ahead of the STEALERS. I want to win this Division and get home field. If we do that then are chances of going to the SB go up 10 fold. We are a completely different Team at home and thats a good thing because we are a great team on the road.

Not exaggerating anything at all. I mean, isn't that essentially what you mean when you say that our players were just better than theirs? What about week one at PIT? Was that just our guys outclassing our opponents too?

A great example of how Cam's gameplan came into play is how he unleashed Flacco. We were aggressive, constantly attacking them deep. As a result, we put up 30 points on offense, and was it any wonder why Rice and Williams had such high YPC?
Cam could just have easily went back to being boring old "conservative Cam" once we got up a couple scores and let them back in.

I'm just saying that he is doing everything we have wanted him to do -- remain aggresive all four quarters, use our personnel properly, and yet he still gets no credit.

Some peope just will never be swayed. Maybe if we went 16-0 and had this kind of offensive performance every game they might decide that Cam is actually "pretty good I guess".

That's exactly my point about all the opinions on Cam. If we win the SB with him as our OC, people are still unhappy with being stuck with the guy who would have helped us get there in the first place. People can improve!!

Yea but its what you said earlier , he is playing for his Job and it really should have never gotten to that point. The problem i see right now is the 2 wr sets, its not really a problem per say. Its just that if we throw the ball , we are going to have double coverage on both wrers most of the time. I just want to see more 3 wr sets. Spread it out. I will take my foot off of Cams head when i m confused to what plays we are going to do. Because i can usually tell if its a run or throw play and if i can tell then the opposing Defense can. I did like what i saw today, i just want to see More of it and not just every other game or so. I want our offense to never let up, i think we could have and should have scored atleat 45 points today and the same goes for the Stealers game. And we should have atleast won by 2 td against the Titans. I know that sounded like complaining but it really wasnt, I just know the potential of this Offense. I think we could be the most Dangerous Team in the NFL. That is one thing and the only thing i like about the Pats, they will go in for the kill if they can. Its in Harb. , i know it is.

My one issue with this game in particular is that drive in the 4th where Flacco fumbled. Just run it up the middle and kick the three.
I didnt have a problem with that, the game was already over and Flacco was just trying to make a play. But i understand what your saying, i probably wouldnt be saying that if we lost though , lolol.

I don't hate Cam, I think truly excellent OC's are difficult to come by, but I do think he's got a couple glaring weaknesses.

The most obvious is that he doesn't seem to be able to adapt when his gameplan doesn't work. I hope he proves me wrong as the season goes on, but I guess we'll see.

Something that confused me to day - why so many screens to Leach? We weren't fooling anyone later on...and I just didn't quite get it. After the first one or two it would have been way more productive to leave Leach in to pass block and send Rice out...

If it wasn't for Boldin missing a couple catches and missed FGs by Cundiff, we would have.

Oh, I dont think anyone is hating on me, they just cant stand Cam. Not that I can blame them, after what went down last season. Just trying to spread the word that Cam is finally earning his keep...of course I won't be surprised if he makes me eat my words before the season is over. Just gonna enjoy the ride for now

I wasn't a full-blown Cam hater, but I am impressed with what he's done thus far this season. However, I still believe he and Harbaugh have their tendencies to press the issue when it's not working and don't make the proper adjustments until its too late in the game. But we're 2-1 and Cam has been a big reason for that. Well deserved Cam appreciation thread, haha.

Cam did OK but I'm still not impressed with his play calling in the least I'll give you a perfect example of what he did wrong. This is directly copied from ESPN play by play from today's game. This is in the 4th qtr about 8 mins left we were in the redzone up by 23.

2nd and 4 at STL 4 J.Flacco sacked at SL 6 for -2 yards (C.Long).

3rd and 6 at STL 6 J.Flacco sacked at SL 13 for -7 yards (C.Chamberlain). FUMBLES (C.Chamberlain), RECOVERED by SL-Q.Mikell at SL 8. Q.Mikell to SL 22 for 14 yards (A.Boldin).

Two passing plays in a row in the redzone in the 4th qtr rather than trying to pound the rock left me scratching my head. Kind of Reminds me of last years game when Polamalu came off the edge unblocked and strip fumbled for the win except this wasn't a close game. Regardless Cam did make some good calls as well and our guys played great today GO RAVENS!!!!!

Okay guys I'm sorry beating the Rams isn't enough for me to bust out the kool-aid. Pretty sure we got shut down by the Titans just a week ago. As for the Steelers, watching them barely squeak by a Manning-less Indy team tonight shows me they really aren't that good this year.

I wouldn't say he's out of my bad books yet. He may have called a good game but I want to see better playcalling like this all year. In the offseason I came round and accepted that the O-line was the biggest issue and that seems to be holding true so far but Cam should have let the reigns off of Flacco sooner, this game proved it.

Give credit where credit is due.

553 franchise leading offensive yards for the Ravens.

389 yards passing (new record) for Flacco.

Is this not what we have ALL been waiting for?
