I Just think officiating as a whole is inconsistent and pretty bad a lot of times. It's weak for Vick to say he doesn't get the calls, while everyone else does. That's simply not true.

I heard he has benefited the most out of any QB for roughing calls.

Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio destroyed Vick earlier today. He was basically saying that 6'0, 200 pound QBs will naturally feel it more than bigger QBs, like 6'4-6'6, 240-260 pounders (he mentioned Ben and Joe a lot). He also ranted to all the Vick lovers, saying that the hate was not racially motivated (which it wasn't). He said that Vick was bound to fall apart at some point in Philly, based on the way he plays the game and the fact that he's so small. Apparently, Vick has admitted to not reading defenses or studying that much, or so Cowherd says, so this was even more writing on the wall that would foreshadow the guys downfall.

His argument definitely made sense. Me, I started to realize late last season, particularly after the Tuesday night loss to the Vikings when Michael took a beating, that he was starting to decline. Sure enough, it carried right over into this season.

It's interesting to see how now that Vick has got a starting gig and is making his millions and getting back his endorsement deals, he seems to have lost some of that new-found humility he supposedly gained from his "unfortunate times". Pointing at the scoreboard to taunt his old fans in Atlanta (in a game which the Eagles lost lol), complaining about refs this week.

On the one hand - I can see the one hit in the game that should have drawn a flag. On the other hand, I can watch just about any game and see such no-calls on QB hits. There are only 2 exceptions in this league - Brady and Manning. You can't look at them cross eyed without drawing a flag.

I agree on Vick and the supposed humility thing as well. Didn't take long for Vick to once again don his true colors.

Mike Pereira decided to chime on this and he brings up a interesting response...
“It actually took me back, it took me back to my job in New York when I worked for the league, and it was a constant complaint by the Eagles, whether it was [Donovan] McNabb at quarterback or whether it was Vick. They clearly complained more than any other team.”

"And also the damage is done. I don’t want to be the referee that goes in there now next and works with him. If he calls a roughing the passer penalty for a hit on Vick everybody’s going to say, ‘Well, Vick taunted him into that.’ If he doesn’t [call it] there’s going to be more criticism. So I think it was a bunch of bull and it didn’t sit well with me and it still doesn’t.”
I think the Bolded Part is all we need to know... Philadelphia, the city of complainers.

... and the Eagles are 1-3, losing to the 49ers?! Wow.
Well now the Eagles have a supporting cast of talent...but it looks like they have the wrong QB. Irony.
