Arian Foster

For those who unfortunately drafted him 1st round (that includes me), what are you guys doing with him? Sitting and waiting it out? I'm contemplating that; I do have Forte and McFadden at RB, Knowshon and Ingram on the bench, and my WRs are Santana Moss, Mike Williams and Britt. I feel like I could survive with this lineup until Foster gets healthy.

But there's the rub. It's not really until he gets healthy, but if he gets healthy! I'm very close to going through on a trade that would send away Foster and bring in Steven Jackson, straight up, because of that very thought. It is a hamstring, which won't go away, and the way Ben Tate is playing, it'd be foolish of the coaching staff to bench him after his success these first two weeks.

The thing I'm worried about in the Jackson-Foster trade is that Jackson has a tough few weeks ahead of him (BAL, WAS, GB, DAL, NO) but it gets easier after that. Thing is, if Foster heals, he might be healthy by then, and then the potential value I get out of him at that point would surpass the potential value I get with Jackson! It's quite the quandary!

Any advice is welcome

I have Foster as well. I'd be more worried about Jackson's injury concerns. By the end of 2011, Steven Jackson will have only played 16 games twice in his 8 year career, and he's dealing with a leg injury of his own. You seem to have solid depth at RB. And with both Forte and McFadden averaging 150+ yards per game, you could look to upgrade at WR. Barring any significant setback, with the Texans playing it safe, his value will not be likely to be much lower than it is at the moment. The Jackson offer is a decent one. However, you'd just be trading one injury plagued RB for another. Ask around and see what else you can get first.

I have him as well, and I'm just putting him on my bench and waiting it out. Luckily i have enough other RB's that play well that i dont have to worry about it right now.

Another thing we should worry about is Ben Tate, he is playing really good in Foster's absence and I think when Foster does come back, carries will be split pretty fairly.

This year I have been hit pretty hard by injuries. I have Vick and Foster in the same league...I did manage to pick up Tate but still not doing too well.

In ER20s yahoo league I drafted Miles Austin, Kenny Britt, Braylon Edwards, and Jerome Simpson lol, and there absolutely zero WRs that can be picked up off waivers =/ Looks like next week I will be starting Early Doucet and Andre Caldwell with Tony Sheffler as my flex.

Sorry to hear that. I feel for you man. I have Arian Foster and Miles Austin in our ESPN league. Frank Gore is apparently dealing with injuries now as well, so I'm scrambling early and often.
