If the coaching staff had faith in laquan then he woukd be back there.. Im sure they have tried different people in practice and if one of them had stepped up thwy would prolly be returning kicks tomorrow..

As far as jimmy playing ST.. Its football- he wasnt even slotted to be a starter week one so yea there was no problem at all for him playing ST

Jimmy Smith isn't a returner. You don't see revis, asomugha, samuel, (even other rookie cb's like Ras-I Dowling or Amukamura) even on ST. When you have a return specialist like Desean Jackson or a rookie cb like Patrick Peterson then the reward is worth the risk to get big returns. The reward isn't even close to the risk for Jimmy trying to run down guys on kickoffs. Like you saw we lost a few weeks of development and experience because we thought he needed to play ST. I don't disagree with our coaching staff very often but that was a horrible decision. But hey, hindsight's 20/20 after all.
