Easy one for me. Pierre Thomas is a must start this week. Matchup is good, touches will be there and the opportunity is as well.

I like Cruz a bit but not anywhere near the amount I like Thomas.

Well, that didn't go according to planned... who could've predicted a 31-21 victory for the Rams?!

Pick 1:
Michael Turner vs IND
Steven Jackson vs ARI
(i was gonna go with Turner, better matchup)

Pick 2:
Roddy White vs IND
Mike Wallace vs BAL
Steve Johnson vs NYJ
(was gonna go with White, and Wallace. Simply because Johnson will probably be covered by Revis)

And finally, pick 1:
Rob Gronkowski vs NYG
Jason Witten vs SEA
(was gonna go with Witten, hes been somewhat consistent lately, while Gronkowski has kind of fell off since Hernandez came back)

I know, right? Luckily P Thomas scored a TD to salvage his fantasy day. The Rams pulled a Jaguars on the Saints. I don't think anybody pictured the Saints falling so far behind.

Jackson because he's a beast, the Rams have no passing game and Turner's been inconsistent lately.
White and Wallace because Stevie hasn't done anything lately, what with Fred and Chandler going crazy.
Witten because Gronkowski shares time with Hernandez and Brady's been shaky lately.

Andre, Cruz and Julio. Nelson's been a fantasy bust for most of the season and he'll be up against the elite Jets D. Brandon's too risky on his new team, especially with their QB issues.

Mike Wallace (Bal)
Jeremy Maclin (Chi)
Marques Colston (TB)

Pick 2
Darren Sproles (TB)
Jackie Battle (Mia)
LeGarrate Blount (@NO)
Payton Hillis (@ Hou)
Chris Johnson (not starting anymore, and really considering cutting)

and for QB
Josh Freeman @NO
or
Joe Flacco @ Pit

(Cam Newton is on a bye)

For WR2:

Jon Baldwin vs MIA
Early Doucet vs STL
Eric Decker at OAK

Also, would you trade Calvin Johnson away for Andre Johnson and Darren McFadden / Frank Gore and Dwayne Bowe? I don't think there's much of a difference in production from say Shonn Greene / Calvin from these combos, Calvin is that good and consistent.

RBs are obvious for me: Blount and Battle
WRs: I'd go with Wallace, Maclin, and Colston
QB: go with Freeman

I concur with all of your decisions in parentheses. Turner great matchup. White and Wallace. White is stating he is at 100%, hopefully he starts playing like it.

If Andre plays (play Andre). But he probably won't. So I will pick three in order. Lloyd, Cruz and Julio Jones. Think the potential for Cruz and Jones having really nice games is there.

Ugh. That is pretty ugly picking for WR2. I'd go with Decker. Kolb is out so Doucet is out. Baldwin hasn't seen the field enough for the vote of confidence.

So you would get Bowe, Johnson and potential Gore (Gore is the guy I would target)? If that is the case I would do that. Calvin is at his peak, can he stay that way? Can Stafford continue to stay healthy?

Pick my WR2. Maclin vs Chi, Branch vs NYG or Floyd vs NYJ
Pick my flex- Sproles vs TB or J. Battle vs MIA

Maclin vs Chicago. Chicago is about to get lit up. Maclin might see some deeper passes this week.
Who to start, Joe Flacco or Phillp Rivers...?
Ugh. I'm still sticking with Rivers. The touchdowns were there last week but he was robbed. He has a very good matchup against the Pack (2nd to last in points to opposing QBs).
Do I start Rice or Forte?
Forte. Eagles are struggling worse against the run than Steelers. Forte will be the entire offense. I love me some Rice, but on the road, night game against the Steelers. It could be ugly for him. I hope not.

White, Colston and Maclin. Wallace will be going against the top D this week.
Sproles and Battle. Blount's banged-up and Hillis hasn't done anything. Get rid of C. Johnson.
Flacco because he's going to have to pass a lot against a stingy run D and Freeman sucks, fantasy-wise.

Maclin because he's more involved in his O than Branch and Floyd are.
Battle because the 'Phins are atrocious and KC's on a roll.

Flacco because he'll be passing more and Rivers has 11 INT, 3 lost fumbles and only 7 TD passes.

Definitely agree about Maclin. But I don't know about the last part. The Dolphins rank 13th in rush defense, which isn't bad for a struggling ball club. They've also allowed roughly 69 rushing yards and 0 TD to starting RBs, with only 2 TDs to RBs in general. Ben Tate was the only RB to cross the century mark against the Dolphins, and they give up the 7th lowest average in YPC to opposing backfields.

Tampa Bay, on the other hand, has the 23rd ranked rush defense, and are currently 20th in YPC allowed. They're also 26th in pass defense, so with Sproles being a weapon in both facets, he could have a field day against the Buccaneers. Now, I like Jackie Battle. I believe he could net around 65-85 yards and a TD. He's certainly a solid start in my eyes, especially with how well hes been playing. But Sproles has been on fire this season, good for 12th most points among RBs, putting him above players like MJD and Beanie Wells. I see the Saints bouncing back against Tampa Bay, and atoning for their loss against them in week 6.

Good point. But Battle's still the more valued RB on his team. You never know who will have a big day for the Saints, though Ingram's injury does add to his value.

For flex, should I start Deion Branch or McGahee? Willis has a great matchup with a run-heavy O, but he just recovered from a broken hand. Brady's going to throw a lot, but he prefers Welker and Gronkowski.

Battles definitely is. However, Sproles' lowest output of the season was 60 yards, so he'll likely get his touches regardless, especially since he's compiled just under 700 yards in 8 games. It's also important to note that Mark Ingram has already been ruled out for week 9. So whatever the game plan is against Tampa Bay, I'd bet that Sproles will be a significant part of it.

That's a tough one. McGahee was putting up very good numbers before the injury, and though I like Oakland's defensive line, they haven't been remarkable against the run. But I am wondering if he's rushing himself back a little. Knowshon Moreno is capable of putting up decent numbers, and Lance Ball had a few nice runs against Detroit, which I'll take with a grain of salt given that the Lions are 3rd worst against the run. I don't think Denver has to necessarily rush back Willis. Deion Branch has been decent in the last 3 weeks, with about 60 yards per game and 2 TDs in that span. It depends on who's covering him. If the Giants stick Webster on Welker and leave Aaron Ross on Branch, he could have a solid outing. Personally, I don't like starting WRs over RBs. Toss up, in my opinion.

Ok so McFadden is hurt once again, so that means I'm moving Gore from Flex to HB2. For my Flex should I use

J. Battle vs. MIA
C. Benson vs TEN
S. Johnson vs. NYJ

or pick up
C. Ogbonnaya vs. Houston (only reason he is on this list is because he is projected to get 11 points, but I would probably go with Battle over him.)
J. Gaffney vs SF
S. Breaston vs. MIA

(I'm thinking Battle would be best bet)

also should I start
O. Daniels vs. CLE
or
A. Gates vs GB
(I'm thinking Daniels vs. the Brown will be a good match up for me.

Gore was your flex? Interesting. He's been playing like a #1 RB so I'm hoping he remained in your starting lineup throughout the last few weeks. It's a toss up between Cedric Benson and Jackie Battle, with me leaning towards Benson. He's been serviceable this season, averaging 80 yards per contest. He's also facing the Titans 27th rush defense, and the two weeks off should've done his health some justice. However, I think both him and Battle should have solid games.

If Antonio Gates is healthy, I'd go for Gates. The Browns have the 2nd best pass defense in the league. They have given an average of 40 yards to opposing TEs, with 3 TDs in that 7 weeks span. However, that's counting the 35 yard TD Kevin Boss had on the special teams trick play, that being the only catch Boss had all game. With that being said, I like Owen Daniels, and will probably continue to start him myself. But if you have a better option, you have to dance with the one who brung you. San Diego will almost undoubtedly be without the services of Malcom Floyd, and could be forced to pass early and often if they fall in a hole against a ferocious offense.

LOL IDK, i wasn't there for the draft. I just set up the players I wanted and got players like Brees (although he was the reason I lost to the first place guy when he lost to the Rams), Schaub, Rice, McFadden, Gore (think he was underrated in the draft, but I have always liked him). WR for me still good, but not as srtong. Smith (Carolina), Welker, Maclin, and Stevie Johnson.
This is my first year doing Fantasy so far enjoying it.

TD only league: Cedric Benson or Brandon Jacobs? (Mark Ingram's injured and AD is on a bye. FML)
Thats a toughie..with Bradshaw maybe injured I would lean Jacobs as he may get some more carries especially in those tough yardage sports

WHO should I play for my flex TE/WR spot choices:

Antonio Brown vs. Ravens
Jerome Simpson @ Tennessee
Dustin Keller @ Buffalo

Thoughts???
