Guys, I need help. I play in a 3 WR league and my #3 guy is Josh Gordon. Considering I have no other choice but to start Jordan Cameron at TE, I really don't want to start Gordon against us this week...just feels wrong, ya know? My other options are Danny Amendola (that jerk), DHB, and Stevie Johnson who I don't want to start because he plays my defense (KC) this week. Can someone talk me into starting one of those three? Or do I just swallow loyalty, play Gordon, and hope our offense puts up a ton of points to win?

Something is going to happen.

You can sit Gordon on the bench, but what if he scores 3 TDs and the Ravens win?

What if Stevie Johnson catches 15 balls and KC picks off Lewis 3 times and sack him 5 times?

You can really get everything you want to happen you know. The Football gods and the Fantasy Football gods are really indifferent

Start Gordon. Got to start your studs no matter what. You don't have to cheer him on but at the end of the day he will put up solid numbers and we will see if we can still win the game.

Fair points, thanks for making me feel better about it. I'm playing my friend who's been talking trash all season so I'm pulling a little harder than usual for a win this week. I guess I can say Gordon is canceled out because I'm also starting Torrey. I'm a good fan!

You would be irresponsible by allowing for the worst case scenario

  • your sunday team loses
  • your fantasy team loses

Don't do that. You have no control over the former, but have all the autonomy of the latter. Be smart. Should your sunday team lose, and your fantasy team wins - the weekend has been salvaged and you're 1 game closer to the playoffs. Best case scenario is very plausible

Pick 2 of 3

LeSean McCoy @ Oakland

Eddy Lacy vs Chicago

Ryan Matthews @ Washington

Eddy Lacy seems to be a given to me. 100 yards and a TD should be the floor.

Next I get to chose between Shady who has been slumping lately and is a stud or matthews who goes against WAshington who have given up at least 11 points a game to starting rbs in standard leagues (which this is btw) every game this season.

Thoughts?

I know thats what I should do, but its like how can I bench Matthews with a matchup like that

My reasoning is this.  McCoy should never be benched as he is a stud.  Lacy has been on fire recently and the Bears allow 117.3 rushing yards per game which is 25th in the league.

I should have started the Washington FB

I don't know what kind of dividends Matthews has been paying for you this year. All I know is his reputation was enough for me to not even rank him this year. Can't believe you actually believed in him. I do realize this is the first season where he wasn't on the injury report every week but SHEEESH!!!!!

The Chargers had run him 20 times the past two games at least. He has strung together back to back 100 yard rushing performances, and on top of all that

WASHINGTON HAS NOT ALLOWED A RUNNINGBACK TO SCORE SINGLE DIGIT POINTS THIS SEASON.

Not over McCoy and Lacy. I'm assuming Matthews was on the bench anyway...

Right?

yea he was on the bench. Couldn't justify starting him with Woodhead there over Shady. Fortunately Shady got a 25 yard td and saved his otherwise slow day.

On the other hand though, I had Andre so it didn't matter.

Pick one QB:

Matt Ryan vs Seattle

Jay Cutler vs Detroit (he has been cleared to play now)

Ryan Tannehill vs Tampa Bay

Cutler.

Tannehill doesn't have his starting LT or LG anymore...

Roddy White is back but still no Julio and Seattle's secondary is among the NFL's best

Riley Cooper or Terrance Williams in my flex position this weekend?

Either is fine. But with Dez's back bothering him, maybe Williams?

Drop Trent Richardson and pick up Shonn Greene, or just roll with the 4 points I get from Trent..?

Id keep Trent strictly because of skill and ability. Im hoping that this next game is where they unleash him because IMO they will and it will be magical LOL.

Shonn Greene is just a compliment to CJ2K who also had a stellar game this past week. Given the days that CJ does bad, how will Greene do? Just FYI

Serious question... I have 2 spots left which are WR2 AND FLEX.

Should i start......

(degressing?) Peyton Manning vs. Chargers /OR Tony Romo vs. High Octane NO Saints

Jordy Nelson (With Seneca Wallace at helm) OR Alshon Jeffery (Cutler coming back?)

Tony Gonzalez and the (failing)Falcons O? OR Maurice Jones Drew (coming back to form?)

Theres also Rashard Jennings, Andre Brown, and Timothy Wright.

Please any feedback is appreciated.

I'd go Manning, Jeffrey, Gonzo.

So you're thinking Jeffrey possibly may do better than Jordy Nelson? And Tony Gonzales most likely will score more FP than a fresh MJD? Because that is my serious dilemma.

Although Jordy is a stud i can't trust Seneca, and i think Alshon may do better than he if Cutler is back. IMO MJD will have a more active game than Gonzo, but that's exactly why im here asking advice.

Any other advice is highly appreciated. Thanks gabe.

I just don't trust MJD or that offense in general. They will get behind and just throw the ball.

Alshon has been very good and that game should be high scoring. Nelson with Wallace is more risky IMO.

I agree with you 100% now. I need to set my roster for a FINAL time lol.

Nelson losing AR just  flip flopped everything...
