Sigh. Lynch is probably gonna be out. So who should i start in place of him? Cedric Benson vs NO or CJ Spiller vs. KC. I know Spiller isn't starting, but i believe they are gonna split carries. I can even move BenJarvis Green-Ellis up from my flex spot, but then i need a new flex option anyway.

I have MJD in one of my fantasy teams, how should I handle him? Start or sit him?
I'm starting him. All his drama aside, he is smart, and ready to play. Against the Vikings. We will not be disappointed.

Alex Smith away vs. the Packers, or Peyton Manning home vs. the steelers?
Another vote for Manning. I expect a pretty heavy ground game out of the 49ers, and I don't think Alex Smith will have much more than a mediocre day anyway. Go with Manning.

In my NFL.com league I'm starting Bazooka Joe instead of Drew Brees. I just have a feeling that he's going to blow up Monday. I don't know the line on that game, but on my ESPN.com game the line for my team is +25. Long odds for sure.

Rashad Jennings is slated to start, with MJD supposedly handling third downs. Couple that with him just coming back from his holdout, and I'd be hesitant to start him.

Nothing against Joe, but if I had Drew Brees, Joe would only start 2 games a year...

Fine with the rest of my team...

Romo, Ryan
Charles,McFadden,BGE, R.Williams, Ingram
Megatron, A.Brown, Brandon Lloyd, Titus young

But I have an open tryout for TE1 and TE2 for my team right now. There are some receivers I want to add and I need to cut my 3 TEs to 2 Tes.

Fleener
Gresham
Rudolph

Right now I think it will be Fleener I will cut, I like Rudolph and Gresham in their offenses but it's a try out and whoever gets most targets is gonna stick on. That being said, I love Rudolph and will be starting him. He is a great red zone threat and is going against that Jaguars defense.

My question to you all is, Who's upside do you like better of the 3?

I would go Peyton. GB's defense is much improved plus its Alex Smith. SF is going to look to control the clock their run game and defense.

Steelers are good at stopping the run but might be without pass rusher Jerome Harrison. Plus Ryan Clark is out with his sickle cell trait. Steelers can be passed on especially if Denver goes no-huddle (which I suspect they will).

Peyton is the better talent and matchup.

Fleener should be the odd man out. Too much hype on Fleener. Rudolph is a young QBs best friend and he'll catch everything thrown his way. Gresham is a guy that could break out to the next tier.

As for Fleener, I actually think Dwayne Allen will end up with a better season.

I have him in the ESPN league and he won't be touching my starting lineup week 1. You don't want to rush a guy back into football shape too quick or else bad things happen (Larry Johnson). I believe the Jags when they say Jennings will get 15-20 carries. I figure the higher end of that estimate.

I was going to say Cedric, but then I realized that he isn't playing NO but instead SF. If this is a ppr league, I'd go Spiller. If not, I'd go Benson. He's got a better shot at scoring despite SF being stout at the goal line.

But that's some tough pickings.

Crap, yeah nfl.com hasn't updated on the fantasy football side yet. lol. I really need to find a way to pick up a 3rd somewhat good starting RB. Don't have much for trade wise though. And not much in the waiver wire.

EDIT: Rashad Jennings is on the waiver wire. But i think MJD will end up getting most of the carries mid-way through the game.

I actually like Jennings more than Spiller for Game 1, but Spiller more long-term (ofcourse). I'm really not that worried about MJD getting too many carries. Mularky is going to reward Jennings for a great PS and TC. Plus if the Jags are smart they will keep MJD very limited in this game to ensure he gets his legs back.

I still like Benson the best if this is a non-ppr league.

Ok I've got a couple that I am mulling over:

QB:
Peyton Manning vs. Pitt
Russell Wilson @ Ariz.

Flex:
Titus Young vs. Stl.
Malcolm Floyd @ Oak
Brandon Lafell @ TB
Donald Brown @ Chi.

-The flex is really tricky for me..if steve smith doesnt play Lafell may be the go to, Floyd is the only WR in SD who has a solid rapport with Phillip, Titus Young should be going up against Janoris Jenkins all game and get a big play or two and Donald Brown is another option..Who would you play?

tempted to give youu bad advice but since I am not playing you, I'll do the opposite. Peyton Manning under the premises of always start your studs. Donald Brown just because I prefer carries to targets and the bears may be without Urlacher so he should do alright. Also lest you forget the offense in SD will be ran through Gates not Floyd.

ha solid advice and thanks for the honesty..I may even think of starting Donald Brown over Redman (if his injury doesnt allow him to play). I may have been making Floyd sound better than he is, I tried to focus on the WR portion to discredit Gates, clearly not smart.

Of the three WRs who would you lean if need be?

If I had to choose one Id pick Brandon Lafell. Titus Young is a good option against good defenses capable of limiting Megatron. St Louis clearly cant do that. Megatron will get everything in that game. Floyd is injury prone and despite going up against the Raiders hasnt proven he can do anything. In preseason the Chargers could barely move the ball. I wouldnt want any charger but gates on my team tbh. Finally Lafell is going against a weak tampa bay secondary that will hone in on steve smith leaving lafell to move the chains. The reviews on lafell have also been phenomenal out of camp.

I'll wager Smith has a better game than Green. And no, I dont think the offense will be run first.

I have Brandon Lloyd vs Ten and Jamal Charles vs Atlanta for WR/R. I figure Lloyd will do well with Brady. Should I switch Llyod out?

That's to be said..
Lloyd was stellar when he was the only offensive receiving threat on the field.

Brady LOVES Welker/Gronk/Hernandez. Even though i think Lloyd will do great in NE, I'd start Charles over Lloyd in this case just til we see how he pans out in a real NE offensive situation..

I'd take Green who is CIN's #1 receiver, compared to Lloyd who has a plethora of offensive hurdles to overcome.
