Pa Fake

I'm tired of Cam going to this after unsuccessful runs like dude get into shotgun when you want to pass. is it me or does Joe not sell the fake after 4 years. He is probably worried about the pressure or something.

I can't really comment about play action not working but it is clear that Joe is most comfortable in shotgun so I think if we were to go to that more often then we might enjoy more success.

Well IMO in order for this to work ,Joe must step up and voice his opinions, on why he would prefer to do this. That requires him to be vocal and we all know "VOCAL" he is not!! I really wish he would work on this quietness thing just my opinion. He can still be "Joe Cool" just more open to how he wants thing's to work........Leadership!!

You really don't know much about Joe, do you, Tatelli.

Well I've met him now a total of 6 times. Watched him at practices many more, but outside of that, no more than the day he started playing for the Ravens. Joe has never been a Vocal guy (even in his college days) but that does not mean he can't learn to be more vocal....But to answer your question..I guess no, outside of game day, I don't know much about him personally... : )

I'm just saying, he's *really* not a vocal GUY, like you said. But leadership isn't all a Ray Lewis pregame dance. Some people lead by example - and, frankly, I'd rather Joe than a guy like ... let's say Philip Rivers. Rivers is emotional, but have you seen him play? He gets so worked up about everything, he's shouting ALL THE TIME. He misses a pass and he yells at the receiver. Guy runs the wrong route and he yells at him.

Whereas Joe seems a lot more like a guy who will just do the crap out of his job. I was confident in Joe when he was a ROOKIE, because I just look at his face and he looks like a guy who can get the job done. Some people follow that more than anything.

Granted, I don't know Joe any more than you do (less, in fact, as I've never met him and haven't been to a game since the Boller eras - stupid living Florida.) So I guess what I'm really saying is, give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Innocent until proven guilty, right?

By no means would I like to see Joe yelling at people/Men, I was more targeting when he breaks huddle and is at the LOS. He by now should know what routs his Rec. are going to run, have a basic idea of who he suspects is a blitzing player. Just maybe be more vocal on making sure his line (who might not see it) is on the same page.

I to feel Joe can get the job done, by no means am I being a Joe basher, at least I don't mean to be. IMO I think he would help our line/rec. more on yelling thing's out he sees when at the LOS. One thing I watch at Joe's 1st snap is something I've come to call "Joe's Happy Feet" When I see his 3-5 step drop does he set ,or is he going happy feet? Yes there are many things that can make him do this.(someone chasing him) but watch the next set of downs it seems to set his tempo, and he starts to get really fast on his reads and drop backs from center. Yeah I know, a man that goes by the name of PAYTON gets happy feet all the time.....He has always been that way.

I'm sure nobody likes to be hit by a 240lb LB, or a 300lb lineman, but then again I'm not being paid millions to take that. This is Joe's year to prove he can lead this offence, as per the FO. Joe IMO has one heck of an arm and great height at his position, the thing's I speak of are just my opinions (a fan knows best lol) that I think "MIGHT" help Joe and our team. It is 4years now.......Guilty....Nah I want to see him make this team great, he is guilty of nothing.

Cam Cameron, keeping us out of the the superbowl 3, going on 4 years now.

These Coaching Tree hired are getting really old. Cameron, Mattison, ect can barley function in a college game much less succseed at the pro level.

Joe has a quiet confidence that I can really get behind. Might just be the difference between you and me - some people like that sort of thing, other people don't. Honestly, it doesn't make either of us right or wrong. I feel like Joe's doing a great job leading (when he HAS to - mostly, you can rely on a guy like Ray to do the leading for you) this team, and we can win a Super Bowl with him at the helm.

The thing with the quarterback position is almost entirely mental. It might be the least athletic position on the field* - that's why quarterbacks like Vick are so amazing, because they combine athleticism and intelligence. And the thing with mental positions is, you can't tell what's going on inside Joe's head. Nobody can. He has the same dull, doe-eyed look in the pocket when he's about to throw an interception as he does when he's getting ready to hit Dixon in the back of the end zone.

I can't explain the confidence I have in Flacco. Maybe I'm not a good writer or maybe Joe Flacco is the center of the Twilight Zone. But he is an amazingly polarizing force on this Ravens team. One thing I will say: Can't argue with success and, for the most part, he's had it.

Look at last year. Compared to the second week of 2010, Tennessee was AMAZING. If Joe has the same bounce-back performance as he did last year, this board will be awash in "Joe Flacco for MVP" threads.**

*Allow me to clarify: I am by NO MEANS demeaning the position, the game, or the players. They keep their bodies in ridiculous shape and make me ashamed each time I look in the mirror.

** Hahaha no actually people will still want us to start Tyrod Taylor, because sometimes this board can suck.

Really had no choice but to keep Cam this year because of the lockout but another early round exit could send him packing...one can hope!

IN the play action pass on Sunday, Mark LaVoir was completely lost. He missed his block as Oher moved over to act as a blocker LaVoir was to block , Dickson went to the ground and was slow recovering, then ran a fade pattern instead of a crossing pattern. Joe threw to Dickson , and missed the pass by two yards. Had Dickson run a crossing pattern the ball would have fell into his hands. Had LaVoir done his job correctly , them both Dickson and Ray rice would have been open targets. But that is shoulda coulda woulda.
