I'm not trying to bash Flacco or anything but I wonder how Taylor would do if he played a full game with the starters. As we watch Vick play tonight you can just dream of Taylor's capabilities.
for one...i absolutely believe in Tyrod and his abilities. i've been watching the kid since his H.S. and VT days. with that being said....Tyrod is our BACKUP QB...BACKUP!! let's just be glad that we have a player like him on our roster IF he is needed. Joe Flacco is our starter! i really wish you cats wouldn't come up with these subtle down with Flacco and up with Taylor threads. they are pointless!

I would love to see what Tyrod could do, IF Flacco was unavailable. I can see what the op is saying though, due to sheer curiosity I am not saying he should be starting just that I would like to see it. I am not kidding myself though Flacco is a franchise QB, that is all there really is tho say about that.

Right. We all know what that guy was saying, and it was 'Bench Flacco, and put in Tyrod'. I know you can't be that naive and so choose to think that you were also being tongue in cheek as I'm assuming the OP was. To think otherwise could possibly make my brain asplode.
No, it was Bench Flacco...you know, that guy I was actually quoting (not the original post). I'm fairly certain he was stigmatizing him as a "bench Flacco" guy for just asking a question. He never said "We should bench Flacco!" He just asked what our thoughts were about putting Taylor in when Joe isn't doing well. That's probably not going to happen, but instead of answer the question by saying "Well, that just isn't going to happen pal." People being to attack him by labeling him a Flacco hater. I'm pretty sure that original post wasn't intended to be funny....i could be wrong though, as communication can become ambiguous on the internet. Besides, if people want to hate on Flacco...who freakin' cares? Are you Joe's body gaurd on the forum? People who come out like their Joe's best bud just weird me out. Some fans are going to vent, others can handle a bad game by Joe. But, one thing is for certain...you, and the Flacco police, can stop pretending like you're Flacco's lover. I like Joe. He will definitely bounce back, but you guys have to stop getting bent out shape when someone vents on a forum board, because what is more pathetic than the Flacco haters coming out of the wood-works after one bad game is the Flacco lovers venting over the Flacco haters venting. So funny...and none of you even see it, because you're all to busy playing Flacco police to see it.

I'm pretty sure you're putting words in this person's mouth (or, putting text into the forum that wasn't there...whichever). He was just interested in what others had to say about playing Tyrod, especially when Flacco isn't executing or performing well. Of course, its traditional to leave one's starting quarterback in and see if he is capable of redeeming himself, but this person was merely asking our opinions. No need to bash him as "Bench Flacco" guy.

I am pretty sure that "you can just dream of Taylor's capabilities" pretty much says he thinks Taylor should be in instead of Flacco. We've all been jumping on the bench Flacco club so now they try to be....discreet.

I second that.

I mean seriously. What more could you possibly expect from a guy who has started all of three seasons.....oh wait, Flacco's youth is just another excuse we use to shield him from the people who expect him to be Tom Brady already.

Exactly. Geeze. Enough is enough. It's one week. Get over it. Every QB has their good as well as bad games. Chill out. The o-line also severely underperformed. I don't even think Tom Brady could have done anything at QB if he was in Joe's shoes last Sunday.
And for those of you calling Tyrod's name shut up!!! He is not our franchise QB.

Its a question, but right now i would take him over Flacco. Three years and you don't look any better than a rookie. wow Now i'm not thinking how you like that. In fact i might start a Thread is Cam Newton better than Flacco already. lol J/K, but i will be watching

Dude, let me know when Cam Newton leads his team to a win okay? He could throw for twice the number of yards that he did and yet he'd still be 0-2. You're not 'just getting' impatient with the progress, you've ignored the progress there has been and consistently appear to be oblivious of what Joe has done for and with the team. You're not the only one shaking your head.
Come on now we are talking about the worst team in the league last year. Let me know when you are being serious. Joe came to a team that was set to do big things with all but a few pieces in place.

Progress where? I know he has a big arm. I know he can make all the throws.

I'm about to get negative. (Ready)

Can't read a cover two, never consistent, Not a real vocal leader. The man can't even look in the reporters eyes when asked a question. Thats easily correctable let Harbaugh tell it. But to me looking people in the eyes is the mark of a man. Kids do that.

Ridiculous. He does. Some of your claims have substance but some are just frivolous. This one is downright dumb. You can get on Flacco for making poor reads or forcing the ball but his press conferences? Especially when he does look at reporters and answers questions honestly and openly...

And his progress? He's statistically improved every year he's been in the league, there's definitely some physical/mental improvement that comes with that, no?

It's so funny how many people are on this message board this week. Last week I felt like there weren't that many new threads or that many people posting, but this week it is chaos. All people want to do is be critical and not look at the body of work Flacco has produced. Or even give him credit when he finally beats the Steelers and plays great, but NO ONE wants to give him credit for it.

Matt Ryan has played iffy the first couple weeks where are the critics for him? What about Josh Freeman? I understand how people are being critical of Flacco, but your opinion isn't going to be respected if you come on the message board after one bad week and try to say "see!!! That's why we should bench Flacco!!!!!". It's illogical, irrational, and unintelligent. I can't wait for week 3.

Berad then why do we have receivers on the field, game two, that do not have a catch. Its not like we have a lot of them active.

Flacco whether you and the rest of Raven Nation believe it or not, Flacco might not be the guy.

The man looks away from the reporters he looks like a kid. (Got to put points on the board) blah blah blah lol now this is his week to shine watch.....smh Hurt Steven Jackson and Bradford but these are the only teams he can do it against.

I'm from VT, and love both Tyrod and Vick, but Tyrod is no where near Vick. Even though he owns all the passing records here, he still is not a great runner like Vick. Vick is a true running back/quarterback hybrid, Tyrod is not, so dont think you can compare the two since they are friends and cam from VT.

It's not Flacco's fault that Torrey Smith has been invisible for most of his time here. Anquan Boldin can get the ball. Lee Evans gets targets and catches. As far as I know, Smith hasn't even been targeted.

Flacco might not be the guy but, in 4 years here, he's shown nothing but promise and production.

And I still don't believe you're saying he doesn't look at reporters. What?! Blatantly false. Does he hide behind Harbaugh during pressers and make his mom order his food, too? Again, ridiculous.

I deliberately didn't come to the boards here after the loss until today because of threads like these. If I had read this after the game, or even yesterday, I would've thrown my computer/laptop/phone out the window and punched the next person I saw.

It's just one week. We were up against the dreaded Matt Hasselbeck.

I'm over it, and by now I hope yall are over it too.

Tyrod could be a more pure passer than Vick, and the fact that you live down there doesn't mean much, im from Virginia and played against some of these guys.
