Tyrod Taylor?

87 posts in this topic

You want an inexperienced, rookie, FOB, college player, newbie starting over 3yr experienced QB who took us to 3 playoff appearances?

What are you smoking? 1 game loss really screws someone's head........

PS: I'm hurt too when they lost this kind of game, but rather having big bump now so we can play well later than this happening in the end of season....

Screw it. Lets do it. Lets give the extreme fans everything they want.

Tyrod Taylor as our QB. LaQuan and Doss at wideouts. Let's Cut Foxworth. Trade Joe for a bag of potato chips. Give up our first and second round picks for 30+ year old players, Kick Oz on his [profanity deleted] while we push him out the door, play Ngata on every play of the game, re-sign Clayton and Smith and give them a second chance and wear black during every home game.

Then, that's not fair for the rest of reasonable fans. We still have 51% voting stock......

This is by far the funniest this I've seen, 2-3 weeks ago people were saying this guy wasn't good enought to be the back up, now people are saying that the Ravens should start this guy? Really one bad game after having a great game vs Pitt. Take a look at Tyrod's college numbers and you'll see he only did good one year! and his number in college are the same as Flacco's PRO numbers. Flacco has taken this team to the playoffs 3 years in a row he's earned the right to a bad game.

not sure why this is funny or far fetched Joe hasn't done all that well to deem the idea of the second string guy starting. n Even in a game were he gets the win he looks pedestrian.

Wow Alexir, I have yet to hear a single person, in or out of these forums, call Flacco an elite QB.
But he is on his way. Let's talk after this season about his elite status. I'm very confident that he will finish the year in the top 5, possibly top 3.
[/quote]
Dont hold your breath Fly, Flacco still struggles with pretty basic QB things. And he cant for the life of him read a cover 2.

Alot of raven fans r just like Denver fans; When QB has a bad game they want him to be benched. It was all cheers for Flacco last week, and all boos for Kyle orton last week, but this week the boos and cheers have been reversed. You people get on my nerves with the hypocrocy!

1/28/01 come on man you know you get tired of this guy at times to, I mean its Cam Newton's first year, he goes for back to back 400 yard games. Joe has not reached this plateau once in three years and two games. Just starting to get inpatient with the progress or lack there of. Our offense should be working right now especially since the great Harbaugh has his hands in it......smh

Just looked it up on the almighty Wikipedia, and 400+ yards passing in a game has only happened 240 times in the history of the NFL.

Lol, these forums blow my mind. First Smith, then Bulger, now Taylor. Be happy we have Flacco after years of "Kyle I should have been a bowler" (Boller).

Trust me...I am as frustrated as anyone else with the performance (overall...meaning everyone) that the Ravens showed yesterday. But Flacco is far from what some of you are saying he is. And whats with your obsession with 400 yards? Both of those games where Cam had 400+ yards, they lost and combined he has 3 TD's and 4 INT's in two games. Now, I am not picking on him since he's a rookie and has already outperformed expectations most had for him going in, but I am using him a reference since you and others have brought him up. What about Vick? 3 fumbles, INT's etc....Why is he not getting blasted? I am really trying to stay away from this place for a few days, but damnit, Mondays I turn my lead dialer on auto pilot and my work is done.....AHHHHH!!!

Hey, wait a minute....you're on the "lynch Flacco at any INT" list. Why are you giving us ammunition? Hahaha :D

I dont think we should bench Flacco just yet, but i will say this. After Flacco threw that 2 interception when he clearly should have never threw it. The thought of T.Taylor did come to mind, especially when Flacco was being rushed out of the Pocket, T.Taylor is always looking down the Field , especially when he is being rushed.

It would have definitely changed the Titans Defenses mind with him being in there.

And....they're off! The Bench Flacco club has comeback.

No. Please.

I'm pretty sure you're putting words in this person's mouth (or, putting text into the forum that wasn't there...whichever). He was just interested in what others had to say about playing Tyrod, especially when Flacco isn't executing or performing well. Of course, its traditional to leave one's starting quarterback in and see if he is capable of redeeming himself, but this person was merely asking our opinions. No need to bash him as "Bench Flacco" guy.

Vick put his team in position before he got hurt to win that game. Despite having a lackluster performance. Flacco can't seem to put games away without a stellar defensive effort. Thats all im saying.

Dude, let me know when Cam Newton leads his team to a win okay? He could throw for twice the number of yards that he did and yet he'd still be 0-2. You're not 'just getting' impatient with the progress, you've ignored the progress there has been and consistently appear to be oblivious of what Joe has done for and with the team. You're not the only one shaking your head.

I'm very passionate, and tend to get too emotional during games and shouldn't post in-game (darn you, Droid). I love Flacco and think we'll win big with him, he just frustrates me sometimes when I know he is so much better than some of these sub-par performances would indicate!

Right. We all know what that guy was saying, and it was 'Bench Flacco, and put in Tyrod'. I know you can't be that naive and so choose to think that you were also being tongue in cheek as I'm assuming the OP was. To think otherwise could possibly make my brain asplode.

If ESPN and NFL Network loved Flacco despite some of his troubles, everyone would love him. But since he's so disrespected, some of you people are like sponges. He needs to play better, yes, but he's still a stud of a QB from Delaware mind you. Not saying he needs more time, but we do have one of the weirdest OC's in the league who think it's cool to send Mason and Boldin out on streaks and not utilize our speed. Everything will come together, it's only week 2 guys
