Well I know randy moss did a few years ago but throughout bellichecks reign they have never really had that outside of moss for a few seasons. Tate is a very small part of their scheme and ocho isn't a speed burner anymore. Their system is all about the short game and occasionally taking deep shots. Their system is light years ahead of cams bs aircoyal crap
Combination of Scheme (cam sucks his gameplanning is garbage 9/10) and skill at the QB possition. Joe does not have half the skill and intelect brady has. or Rodgers, or Manning, or Brees, Or rivers for that matter.

Joe doesnt trust Torrey, and can you blame him?
Then cut him. Who cares who joe trusts.... why have a reciecer and 2nd round pick if your not going to use him. Joe needs to learn to throw to the open reciever and not his saftey blankets.

Speed beats zones, the cover 2 zone in a 4-3 is to relegate all the din and dunk passes.
Correct, but its not like Doss is a slug. The guy can get down field, hell Boldin is the only deep threat we have hit as of yet. Evans aint healthy, that should be pretty damn obvious even to the stubbornest of coaches. Rest the dude, and put Torrey and Tanden out there. Evans needs to get healthy or were gonna be dragging this even further down the road.

He is not a slug, and the reason we have hit Boldin for the deep throws is because evans drug the safeties with him downfield because they respect his speed. Tandon is not slow but he cant attract that kind of attention.

I'm not saying he would've made anything better last Sunday and I'm not going to argue about him vs. Torrey, but, with Reed being out 3 weeks and Evans playing hurt, I think Doss should be activated. I actually wouldn't be opposed to letting Evans sit against the Rams. Letting him rest and having him more fresh for the Jets game is more important, in my opinion, than putting him out there Sunday and possibly injuring himself further for the possibility that he'll catch a deep pass. I think Boldin, Smith, Doss, our two TEs, and Rice can do just fine against the Rams secondary and LBs. Especially if we can get the run game going. That's just my opinion.

How far away is T.O. from being ready to play? I'd rather have him or Housh than Doss & Smith as #2's or 3's, depending on Evans foot
Smith hasnt got one ball thrown to him despite being open in the last game a few times

Doss hasnt played once snap this season so how can u compare? TO is in Korea right now getting Stem Cell FYI

I've seen Smith drop everything thrown to him in the pre-season. Doss has better hands but is still a rookie, i dont trust any rookie WR to be go to guys in the offense.

Then cut them. Either they contibute to the team, put them on PS or cut them. Plenty of rookie WR are tearing it up (Cobb,Green,Jones). Give them the reps and let them prove it. Ravens stagnet vanialla offense is sickening and 4 years of it is making me go insanse. They either adapt to the game or we can kiss our chance of winning another SB goodbye.

No but a hurt Lee Evans can't either. Torrey Smith is more than capable of running deep routes for a week to rest Evans. Get Doss out there as the number 3 guy.

Torrey smith is just a body running down the field. This offense needs someone they can trust and tandon has a fabtastic set of hands. They need him out there. Why he was inactive amazes me.
I'd like to see Doss get a chance too, after all Joe is the guy who picked him and said he looks like he'd be easy to throw to

also, with Ngata's signing maybe they go out and sign a veteran guy..who knows but with Reed and Evans missing time our receiving core got really thin real quick

Now that I could agree with, and I would love to see doss out there too, but with I still hold a lot of hope for Torrey as well.

Are you serious? Look over the last 16 regular season games and you will quickly see that flaccos numbers are actually better than a few of those guys you just named despite a horribel offensive scheme and lack of a #1 reciever. Give me a break dude

I say put in Laq. Williams, he can be a deep threat and has the hands to catch the ball. The guy blew me away in the preseason. He has the skill now , not later down the road.
i agree with that but where has he been on special teams? he's an explosive guy who was an all acc kick returner at umd. and laquan williams has been good too. no use risking another corner (webb) on special teams
i have seen torrey right there on kickoff coverage plenty of times.. im not talking about his returning or anything to do with KO returns

Oh so do I. Torrey is not a bust, and should be nowhere near labled as such. Everybody has a learning curve, and all rookies were well behind the 8ball from the start. I am not trying to say that Doss should be activated and Smith not. I think you need both of those guys ready and to get some game reps. Let Evans sit for a week and get healthy. We can get by for a week or two with Boldin, Smith and Doss. Hell before we picked up Evans that was our starting lineup. Hell I wouldn't even mind Williams getting out there a little.

I think people need to stop and think things through.

I think Torrey has probably been last on Joe's progressions, and he stepped up to throw (presumably to Smith) several times against the Titans but had to scramble.

Torrey is probably going to be #2 on Sunday, with Doss at #3. Both will probably see targets.

He was open plenty of times in Nashville.

All these guys are professional athletes now, rookie or not they've been playing football for nearly all of their lives, regardless of their age i want them to go out there and show me something.

if it is true that thhe injurie of evans is the same he had last season in buffalo than it won´t be done with sitting one week. we have to plan for him missing much more time. you need your others receiver being ready so put them into situations where they can prove themselfes. people say torrey is just a body running down the field. but so is evans. he hasn´t done much for us than open some holes.torrey can do that too!!!

and he can catch!!!
