MERGED: Positives - Looking on the Bright Side

65 posts in this topic

So, with the atrocious play of the Ravens this week, are there any positives?

The run D was great. CJ didn't do anything (though he didn't really have to).

Ray Rice also did his best, but he can't carry the offense on his own.

...I've got nothing else.

Might be a couple of days too early for this. First the anger and grief has to pass. After that people will start to think more rationally.

The only positive is that maybe this loss will bring our Ravens back to reality.
[/quote]
This is a pretty big positive, though. Fans, media, and apparently the players got ahead of themselves.

Oh he called a terrible game. No hurry up offense in the 4th quarter and the kicking of a field goal
are enough to give him a HUGE F grade. At one point we even got a delay of game penalty!!!! for God's sake. He made no adjustments in the second half and continued to
try to run and wasted alot of clock. It was embarassing and deja vu of several games last year.

lol we were in a hurry up so to speak on that drive.. there just wasnt anything open downfield besides that one 30 yard pass...

and the fg call was a good call.. u have to put confidence in your defense.. if we would have held them to a 3 n out then who knows what would have happened

the game was lost by then. Titans had our number and just about every one knew it. Even if we had gotten a TD instead of the field goal, Britt was going to make sure the Titans kept the lead.

we REALLY didnt look like crap. No we didnt play real well, but nothing that made me throw the remote across the room or kick the dog or any thing.

If that was a hurry up offense, then why was the play clock going down to 3-4 seconds alot. Please ,we had no hurry up going on.I was yelling at the tv I was so mad at how much time we were taking.

i didnt think he called a terrible game but yea we didnt need to be in the 2 minute offense with 12 minutes but at least show some urgency. walking to the huddle when your down by 2 scores in the 4th should never happen. but some of it could be on joe too

We need to get healthy. But this is still a december january team. Not a september team. We're lucky we caught Pittsburgh off guard.

Man.. there weren't no positives. We had no sacks... umm Kindle anyone. Our secondary was torched.. we need Jimmy bad..and our offense did nothing. The one thing you could say is that we had little to no game tape on the Titans. This was a completely different Titans team then we are use to facing, but that's still kno excuse for the way our team played today we were not prepared and didn't take the the Titans serious. All and all no need to panic we still going to the superbowl. You can't win them all.. so let's focus on the rams.

Positives? Positives? We're just trying to win a game!

Positives I saw were:
1. David Reed is a killer return man.
2. No major injuries.
3. We lost the game as a team, so that shows teamwork.
4. We neutralized CJ2K.
5. Chuck Pagano becoming a HC soon is doubtful.
6. Ray Lewis looked red for blood.
7. Evans caught a nice reception for some big yards.
8. Can only go up from here!

Believe me, if Cam didn't do his job today, I would be one of the first to whine about it. Cam was excellent.

It hasnt hit me yet that we lost to the titans. But the only positive things I can think of is no one got hurt and Reed did alright. My brain has yet to comprehend how we manhandle the steelers and force 7 turnovers but then lose to the titans like that. Next week is another statement game.

He was far from excellent. When you're getting no time to throw, that's on the O-line and execution, but Joe had all day to throw (sometimes thanks to his own willingness to get out of the pocket) and no one was open. When no one is open virtually the whole game the plays aren't working.

The run D was great. 29 carries and just 2.55 yards per carry is great.

Ray Lewis has looked really good the 1st two games w/ 15 tackles (12 solo), 2 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception, and 2 pass deflections. 6 "splash" plays in two games is very good.

The whole front 7 looked good.

Positives:
The game is on tape & the team can learn from their mistakes. The break downs in coverage and protections should be cleared up.
The run defense is stout for most of the day. CJ looked like a fantasy bust as the D held him in check all day
Rice is a great weapon in the passing game. Kid has a nose for the endzone. Cam needs to find a way to get him in the open-field.
Joe showed great pocket awareness as he scrambled and broke several tackles while getting rid of the ball during a day of jail breaks.
The return game was welcome sight.

Fine, we shut down CJ2k but i thought our front 7 looked average at best. Hasselback consistently had time to throw because we couldn't get any pressure. When we get no pressure our secondary struggless. hopefully smith will be back soon, and kindle gets a chance..
