Next Up: @ St. Louis Rams

183 posts in this topic

So after today's loss, the team needs to pull a Pittsburgh and redeem themselves. Harbaugh said there would be no letdown, but I had a feeling that there would be, and MAN, was there a letdown.

So we've seen the best and the worst from the Ravens this season so far. Which Ravens squad is the real deal? Hopefully St. Louis will give us some insight.

I don't know much about St. Louis, but I really hope they don't play cover 2.

the Ravens will watch film and see where they blew it! hoepfully, they will be pissed off at themselves for letting this game get out of hand and come back stronger than ever against the Rams.

We will definatly have a rebound game, but only if we can have a good secondary. Foxworth STILL isn't ready to play with him coming off injury, and Jimmy is gone for a few weeks. We REALLY need Carr to come back strong and Webb to step it up. I would really like to see Chykie Brown get more playing time, I have faith in him. Also, we need to become more prepared if a starting O-Lineman gets hurt. The line today without Grubbs was horrendous. What happens if someone gets out for longer? Will we fall apart even more? The Ravens starters are pure amazing, but if someone is injured or out we fall apart

by no means am i overlooking the Rams. they are a decent team like the Titans. the Ravens will have to watch film of this loss and see where they went wrong and clean it up before entering into that game next week.

St. Louis has a short week.

Will Jackson still be out next week? If not, he could be trouble.

Their OL is not as good as Tenn, though. And hopefully Grubbs will be back.

the Rams will be in for a long day, they dont have the OL the Titans do..their defense isnt as good and their offense has lost some guys....Stephen Jackson was hurt last week but he'll probably be back and ready to go...he was questionable to go this week i think

the Ravens will bounce back, they are too good of a team to play like they did today

its a team game and the team will play better...Joe doesnt throw many INTs so he got that out of the way...Ricky Williams fumbled...the defense will play better im sure

im not worried about him...our run D is okay..its our pass D that needs work

our offense should find their work a little easier next week

After this game I'm not to confident about the rams game. The rams have a pretty good defense and after what happen to our secondary today you better expect teams to go after our secondary hard until we prove we can stop them.

We'll go to 2-2 next week but if they play the way they did today, we may be looking at 1-2 heading into the Sunday Night game against the Jets.

True but I expect our front 7 to do better against the Rams. The Titans have the better OL, and Bradford is not as good as Hasselbeck.

But it's hard to be confident in this team after this performance.

I think we beat the Jets at home. But we're obviously not as good on the road.

I could see us being 2-2 before the bye. 1-3 is not that farfetched, though.

I don't see any reason why not to scratch this week's performance down as a one-off. Just like last week. I think if we play at a level we are more than capable of then we should beat the Rams. It won't be a walk in the park by any means but I just think we are a better team and now we're coming off a loss the team will know it needs a win.

We usually let elite WR's walk all over our secondary. St. Louis' WR core doesn't scare me at all, plus Stephen Jackson is a little banged up. Still, this team is so up and down, so you just never know. So much for beating teams we're supposed to beat.

I have no doubt that, if the Ravens play like the are capable of playing, that we will beat the Rams. We are a better team than the Rams, but that doesn't mean that if we lay an egg next week the won't take advantage of it. If we lose to the Rams in a similar way, with similar problems as to the Titans, i will be worried. 1-2 is unacceptable to me. These are totally beatable teams.

At this point I'd be willing to pull anyone with CB experience off the street and start them over Foxworth. I think after Foxy got burnt the first time, or the second, or the third they should have seen what Brown could do. I think the O line suffered without Grubbs badly. Levoir is not the answer. Next man up if Grubbs can't go next week and we'll see.

The Rams have a decent front four. If the o-line can protect Flacco, I think the offense should perform well.

On defense, getting pressuring Bradford is key.

The Bengals lost as well. Lucky for us the entire division is 1-1 now. We should've taken control with a win in Tenn, but oh well, life goes on.

This game is a must win. We can't afford to fall to 1-2. Pit has KC (who is TERRIBLE) this year while we have the pleasure of visiting the San Diego superChargers.

The Rams a far better team than Tennessee imo. Hopefully we wake up from this deep slumber next week.

Steven jackson is hurt and the titans defense is superior to the rams. So I would say the titans are the better team. The rams have the worst receiving core in the league.

Also pretty sure Hasselbeck is a (far) better QB right now than Bradford. And Hasselbeck, like Peyton Manning, has had pretty nice success against the Ravens D in the past. I thought Hasselbeck was done, but at least for one week, he obviously wasn't. I'll eat a terrible towel if Bradford plays anything close to Hasselbeck, which he'll need to, to beat the Ravens IMO.

it seems flacco and/or cam has trouble against teams with 2 good corners such as the bengals last year, titans this year, and the jets last year. boldin can pick on average corners all day but hes too slow to get away from the good ones. i really wish the ravens had a guy like britt.

I have all the confidence in the world that we'll get it together and show that we're the team that showed up week one and not the team that showed up week two. I'm sorry to put all this optimism and positive energy into this thread, but i just have a hard time believing that we'll repeat this performance. Especially against a team that's, in my opinion, worse than the Titans. I feel like we're going to beat the Rams up, maybe not on the scoreboard, but they're definitely going to get hit hard. We'll be 2-1 after the final whistle of this game.

Oh brother this sounds like the same talk in the titans thread when will people learn there are no EASY wins in the NFL.

It seems like everytime we have an emotional win we have a let down and everytime we have a let down we bounce back. I expect us to win next week and win the following week. I believe we will be 3-1 going to our bye week.
