Hey guys. First time visiting your boards. Nice place ya got here.

Anyway, I was wondering about the status of your team's RB stable. I honestly have not been following the other 31 teams all that well, but I notice that McGahee's been somewhat "under the weather" lately. Le'Ron McClain seems to have been doing quite well in his absence (from what I can see stat-wise, anyway).

My question is, now that you have 3 backs playing for you again (can't forget Rice. GO RAY - speaking as a Rutgers alum)... anyway, now that you have 3 backs playing again, do you expect McClain's role in the offense to be diminished? Do you think he's worth picking up in my Fantasy league? I could really use a supplement at the position, since I have no clue when Maroney is going to be back up to speed.

Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've got him as a backup to use on any bye weeks.
Haven't used him yet.
He's gonna get his carries and is good near the goal line.
He got like 19 points in my league last week.

Acually, McClain would be a decent fantasy pick up depending on the size of your league. He may steal some carries from Willis at the goal line but I don't think anyone's role is going to diminish, but I think we're going to use McClain later in the game to pound teams into submission and run down the clock. So everyone will get there turns though Ray Rice will probably get random carries in between McClain and Willis.

BTW, your offense has looked GREAT, I'm a big fan of Cutler and Brandon Marshall! Good luck to you guys

Thanks, man. And thanks for the advice, all of you. I'm leaning closer now to picking up McClain. (May swap him for a dead-weight like Ocho Cinco. What is UP with him this year? The dude sucks.) Anyway, I'm not sure if everybody is aware of Jay's diabetes story, but I am in awe of him and his stats even more, because of it. In fact, I'd like to think that being properly diagnosed and getting the disease under control has a lot to do with his dramatic improvement from last season to this one (at least, three games into it).

Anyway, good luck to the Ravens. (I see you're not on our schedule this year, so I can say that. Haha.)

i know if Jay's medical issues with diabetes and what not, am really suprised at just how well and how far he's come as a football player, going from a Interception guy to slinging the ball downfield and making plays left and right, the man knows what he's doing, how to play the position of quarerback and then some...... im pleasantly shocked at how well he's doing, i would've thought another year or so before seeing this kind of production out of him but it just goes to show everyone....... progression is progression and that means you getting out there, learning from mistakes and utilizing that to your advantage, exploiting your weaknesses for your strengths.....

i hope he comtinues to play well for a long long time, just not against us (if they do play us at some point) Cutler is becoming an elite force and with a little more time under his belt thats probably what he'll be.

I hear ya, but there aren't many other options.

...Perhaps not surprisingly, I have Cutler, Royal, and Scheffler on mine. Oh, and the Ravens' D. Have benched Scheffler every week so far, though, in favor of Gates. Unfortunately sometimes that's proven to be a wise move ...other times, not.

I think Le'ron is the real deal and our coaches knew it. He is going to continue getting around 10 carries per game and he will handle at least half of the goal lone carries. He isn't our true starter so fantasy wise, he isn't good for week in and week out. But he will be great to cover bye weeks for you, especially since we've already had our bye week now <_<

I feel you're pain there. I have him and Randy Moss (my number one draft pick) on my team and they both seem to have decided that they don't feel like playing this year.

McClain is starting to look like our version of Brandon Jacobs - a punishing runner, a big back with quick feet who won't necessarily take it the distance but chew up consistant yardage. Unlike Jacobs, who they don't use as a goal line back as often as they should (perplexing) it seems like McClain may the 2nd down goal line back. I feel like 1st and goal give Willis a shot to pound it in and if he cant run it down their throats with LeRon. And yes, as we've said he has been fantastic in the 4th quarter.
