he's never had a great game...wow, this is why i dont even come around when we lose, ppl overreact BIG time

Joe has played well a lot more than he hasnt...the team will bounce back, no doubt in Joe as our QB, he has risen to the occasion and done everything ppl thought he couldnt, he's beat the Steelers at their place and with Ben in the game..no one though he could, he's
How can we expect the defense to hold strong when our offense can't sustain drives and the defense is on the field constantly?

Defense was fine, our offense couldn't stay on the field. Flacco had plenty of time to throw, so the blame rests on his shoulders. All I have heard this offseason is how our receiving corps has improved across the board. Well, sure didn't seem to be the case today.
only won the most game by any QB in his first 3 years....winning a road playoff game each year

one bad game by the entire team and its all Joe's fault....ridiculous

the Defense was the real reason we lost, yeah Joe had a bad throw on that first INT..but guys have to help, he cant make all the plays himself
Both are to blame. Flacco couldn't get anything going, but the defense was allowing Hasselbeck to sustain drives.

Bad showing all around. The only good player today was Ray Rice.

Are the Ravens going to use Torrey Smith? He had one target last week on a throw away pass and I didn't even see Joe look at his direction at all this game. I don't know if it's a chemistry issue or Joe trusts the veteran guys more.

People also should remember that we are the Titans' "Steelers" and they were out for blood.

That's not what they meant. The Titans really do hate the Ravens as much as we hate the Steelers.

Not the reason we lost, though. We just played badly.

how good are the Titans this year? who knows, they are improved already because they finally got a real good WR in Britt and they finally have a QB who throw the ball..

..they went 13-3 not too long ago, they might not win that many games but they are improved, and the Ravens didnt play their best and lost....it happens

Not really a stretch. We have a long, contentious history with the Titans. Add Ray turning George into a pussycat, McNair coming to us, Chris Johnson, etc., etc., etc...........

3 turnovers, 0-2 in the redzone, 3-10 on 3rd down, 15-32 passing. The offense laid an egg today.

Our coverage was bad too. I know Flacco haters are enjoying this, and he was bad, but the fact is that basically, so was everyone else.

I find it funny that everyone is throwing Flacco under the bus, football is a TEAM sport. last time i checked it was the Baltimore Ravens not the Baltimore Flaccos

Exactly. He is not the sole reason we won last week, and he is not the sole reason we lost this week.

its just how it goes...i dont agree with it but it happens..from SI cover to ...well the gutter, he's either great or he's horrible and will never learn and he cant beat a certain defense...it starts with the OL...they played well and gave him time last week and u saw what happened..this week it just wasnt working for whatever reason, guys didnt get open, Joe was hurried, hit, sacked..pretty much all game long...and the offense could never get into a good groove because the defense was on the field all day

I honestly cannot believe that Flacco is the guy taking the primary heat for this game. Flacco was one of the lone bright spots in our game today. He was under severe pressure ALL GAME. Pretty much every single play. And top it off, his receivers couldn't get open, not a one of them. And to top it off yet again, the receivers weren't playing the ball aggressively: Joe was putting the ball in the same places as guys like Brady and Rodgers live off of, and whose receivers play the ball aggressively and bring it in; but today, our receivers weren't bringing the ball in, they were hesitating on their routes and not even getting to the ball when they should have, they were tipping and dropping balls that were catchable, etc. How is Flacco supposed to be the guy we blame when I thought he did a great job on most snaps of dealing with the pressure and making something happen or at least mitigating disaster. One of his interceptions would have been an incompletion if not for a bad touch by the receiver, or even a wonderful completion for some receivers in this league like some of the guys on the Saints, the Packers, the Cowboys, the Jets... His first interception was more Joe's fault. But how many QBs have a mistake-free game? It doesn't happen often even for the hall-of-fame guys. You can't put the offense's performance failure on Flacco, here. You all saw what happened to Roethlisberger last week when he was running for his life all game. Even guys that can win multiple Super Bowls have trouble when their line gives them literally NO protection and to top it off the receivers don't do a good job of getting open and catching decent passes.

O-line was vintage 2010 pass protection.
WRs dropping passes that hit their hands.
Joe running for his life and making a few bone headed plays, while trying to force the issue.
The running game disappeared as they were non-productive
The play calling was suspect

Granted the offense did the team no favors, but Defense did its fair share. Matt Hasselbeck looked like a 1st ballot Hall of Famer on his way to a career game, thanks to a 300+ yard performance thru the air.

I will Chalk it up as Ravens ran into a buzz saw. It meant more for them. It was Titans superbowl as evidence the coaches getting gatorade bathes late in the game.

Well I had a bad feeling going into this game for some reason and now i see why. We had a terrible game all around as Kenny Britt and Hasselback destroyed our secondary, Their D-line ran through our O-line, and their corners blanketed our receivers. But to look at the bright side our run defense was solid and our O-line was without Grubbs so its not like our starting line did terrible. Grubbs will be back and the O-line will look more like it did week 1 and when Jimmy smith comes back our secondary will be a lot better because he is a better match up for guys like Britt. Moral of the story learn from our mistakes and our team doctors need to do everything to get our players healthy ASAP!!!!!!!!

WR's need to start breaking back to the ball sooner when our O-Line is obviously not protecting too well. Some of these patterns are taking waaaaay to long to develop. Sick of seeing replays where WR's are just kinda standing/trotting around once they're run their route. Hell, Rice puts better moves on corners than our WR's.

Our WR's run their routes and stand there. Somewhere, they've got to try to get open. I can't believe Flacco is being blamed for all of this. The 2 interceptions were examples of predictable WR's.

I think most of the loss had to do with offensive line woes, coaching mistakes, and injuries. The announcers kept saying Joe had time to throw, but essentially he was pressured on every play because we had a sieve at left guard. That leads to coaching mistakes, starting with the fact that we started a nobody at LG when we have a Pro Bowl interior lineman on the bench. Gurode has played guard before, and there's no reason to think he couldn't handle that this week. I can't think of a single reason to start LeVoir over Gurode.

That brings me to Cam Cameron. I don't know if it was a vanilla gameplan, since last week's gameplan was rather vanilla, I think it comes back to the offensive line. I'm saying that however Cam gameplans, it requires a good offensive line to be successful. When that goes away, our offense goes away, and we saw it today. It demonstrates how bad Cam is at coaching on the fly, since he appears unable to adjust to injuries. I also think it was a mistake to kick the field goal in the fourth. At that point we admitted the game was over. I'm sure there were other things that went wrong on the coaching front though.

The injuries are self-explanatory. Grubbs not being in the game killed our offense, and Webb got hurt and started playing a lot worse after that. With Jimmy Smith and Chris Carr out, we didn't have a lot of depth in the secondary today, and the Titans came out and started passing on us. That generally is not a good combination when we were getting no pressure on the blitzes.

Joe had plenty of time to throw. With every WR blanketed. And I mean blanketed. They didn't get any separation at all. The INTs were due to Joe forcing it in a tough D. He missed the throw to Evans. Looked overthrown to me but I guess it could've been Evans slower and not 100% yet. We can't really know for sure. He had some good moves to avoid sure sacks. D was not fine. Foxworth got burnt every time. You could practically see Hasselbeck drooling every time they put Foxy on Britt. He threw it there every time and every time it was a completion with Foxy nowhere in sight. Williams covered well but hey, some really good catches were made. Hard to defend against that. There was no pressure on the QB at all. Hasselbeck had all day back there. We even rushed 3 on more than one occasion. I don't know how you can say the D was fine.

Even when the O-Line protects well like in last weeks game vs the steelers, Joe has to throw into tight windows (see first TD pass to Boldin last week is a perfect example of this). You can't expect him to be able to do this consistently while being pressured like he was today. As much as I like our WR's, they need to start getting better separation ASAP. I'm hoping Evans steps up in a big way for this offense.

Sorry been lurking for a while, but finally had to join to comment on this game. The one thing I haven't seen brought up yet, but that bothered me the most, is that last week we ran all over the Steelers by running Rice behind Leach on Mckinneys side so he had plenty of blocking. All I saw today was us trying to run Ray by himself out of the ace formation right into the line. It looked like our running game from last year. Why when we had so much production out of the Power I did we decide we didn't need a full back today?

Seriously though, I don't remember seeing much of Leach at all really. He did line up as a wideout once which was kinda odd..

Honestly its not just because we los,t i really dont know about Flacco as QB. He really is tough can make all the throws but he gets rattled way to easy. After the fight in the Pitt game rattled. In Tennessee he was rattled the whole game. Joe doesnt see the whole field, he locks in a receiver when rattled, and thats where he is going with the ball. 4 years and i have yet to see greatness.

This has probably been over stated but Joe didn't have the protection we saw last week. Also, we all saw the pass interference on Bouldin in the end zone with no call. I know it was the home opener for the Titians and it was loud but we have been under this kind of pressure before. I agree Gurode should have played Left Guard, he has a proven record and the regular season is not the time to see how LeVoir would perform. I think Cam made some bad choices and the Titan defense saw the openings.
Matt Hasselbeck did a good good at reading our defense and his line gave him time to throw. I know this is a minor set back and we will have great season, Ozzie did a great job and the team will click.
You need a 400 yard game before it can be considered a good game? Would you say Henne last week was better than Flacco was last week, even though most of Henne's yards came in garbage time? Would you say Hasselbeck was bad this week? After all, he didn't break 400.

You're never going to see Flacco break 400, because we are a run-first offense. He's never asked to pass that much. We are not the Patriots.

I assume you were one of those who were quiet next week, and if Flacco has a great game next week, I'm sure you'll hide again. I'm far from a Flacco apologist, but as I said before I don't do lies.
