MERGED: Week 2 Complaints about Offense

157 posts in this topic

Today's offensive game plan was straight from last year's book. What a huge step backwards. So predictable, so vanilla. I really don't know what to say. That was pitiful coaching.

The OL wasnt as good as last week, the Titans got pressure all day while our defense did not..road games is tougher for the OL to get off the ball fast..our WRs still arent getting the separation we need..Joe had time to throw at times but no one open

just a bad game all around, no one person is responsible

It goes to show you how bad missing one starter on the O-line can hurt you. Same thing happen to the steelers their RG went out.

Either way, they were playing really tricky. Courtland Finnegan basically lined up on the number 3 receiver knowing no one would throw to the number 1 corner on the number 3 receiver and then he left his receiver and went to boldin or Dickson. It's one of those things if you see on film, you'd know. but week 2 teams still have tricks and stunts. Either way we need to run more comeback routes, play calling is too conservative, stop me if you heard this.

Tell that to the Flacco haters. I guarantee we get at least one start Tyrod Taylor thread this week.

I don't understand why people are already getting up in arms about one loss. We have some key injuries right now and didn't execute. That kind of thing happens to everyone in the league. I wish people thought more long term.

Because the announcers kept telling us that there was no one for Flacco to throw the ball to.

Is that a joke?
Cause the Announcers said so, as if they have never been wrong, but yeah im sure no receiver was open at all, all game, ever, we never had anyone open the entire game.

We missed throws, Joe made some bad decisions and there was some questionable play calling.

When we get Grubbs and Carr back we should defintely do better. But that was just hard to watch
The offensive line was not the problem in this game, Joe had plenty of time on the vast majority of his throws.

Hopefully Carr is ready by next week, because i can't watch Foxworth anymore he is terrible, and what makes it so much worse is knowing he is getting paid 7 million a year to get embarrassed.

At least we're not 0-2 that's all I'm happy about, as for as this loss, let's just forget about it and focus on our next game, the Rams.

Rice had 43 yards on 13 carries, if we coulda established the run better things could have been different. Grubbs is one of the best guards out there so its a huge loss. I agree 100 about Foxworth though.

And does Cam plan on using Torrey Smith or Doss at all?
Doss was injured. And whenever I saw Smith on the field, it seems Joe looks in the opposite direction...

Hate to say this but Joe may be the problem. Im not saying he is a bad quarterback, just not sold on him after three years is bad. He has never really had a great game. Check downs and screen passes to Ray Rice just dont do it for me.

he's never had a great game...wow, this is why i dont even come around when we lose, ppl overreact BIG time

Joe has played well a lot more than he hasnt...the team will bounce back, no doubt in Joe as our QB, he has risen to the occasion and done everything ppl thought he couldnt, he's beat the Steelers at their place and with Ben in the game..no one though he could, he's only won the most game by any QB in his first 3 years....winning a road playoff game each year

one bad game by the entire team and its all Joe's fault....ridiculous

the Defense was the real reason we lost, yeah Joe had a bad throw on that first INT..but guys have to help, he cant make all the plays himself

How can we expect the defense to hold strong when our offense can't sustain drives and the defense is on the field constantly?

Defense was fine, our offense couldn't stay on the field. Flacco had plenty of time to throw, so the blame rests on his shoulders. All I have heard this offseason is how our receiving corps has improved across the board. Well, sure didn't seem to be the case today.

our team just got flat out whooped!!!! we need to accept it just like the steelers had to last week.

bottomline...when you come out and play like that....you should get your tail blasted! we need to bounce back...and focus on the Rams now! we are 1-1 and i don't want us to drop to 1-2. the Jets are now 2-0 and the steelers are 1-1 as are we. hell...even the Redksins won today! wow! lol we got work to do....let's get it done Ravens!!!

how can we expect our offense to sustain drives when they cant even get on the field to get into a rythm ? hmmm it goes back to the TEAM concept...no one played well...Joe takes the heat because he's the QB but again guys have pass protect, guys have to get open, guys have to catch the football..

truth, we got beat

move on, the team will and they will learn from it...the OL just played their 2nd game together and Grubbs wasnt in there which matters..they will continue to get better..Joe will play better, and guys will make plays for him

our defense will get healthy in the secondary and they will bounce back..for 1 week we take this loss and remember what it feels like, i'm sure the team will and they will be ready next week to take down the Rams

believe that
