I know it's not fair to compare different players body and recovery rates between players...
But I'm trying to figure out, how Foxworth was injured in training camp last yr even before preseason and he still having issues... But L.Webb and F.Washington were injured in latter part of season 2 yrs ago returned for preseason and week 1.
I mean these days so many athletes bounce back quickly and his injury is lingering. He had all of last season to train and rehab ( before any lockout nonsense )
He wasn't great to begin with but now he's a shell of himself....
Before or after the injury, Foxworth is not a physical cornerback.....

Give him rest. Let him recover more. He'll be alrite.

and play who? Smith is hurt, Carr is hurt, if you rest foxworth, you start Cary Williams and Webb with who as your third cb? Brown? Naukamura? Gorrer? Talk about the opposing teams targeting the secondary even more. and for the record I do not like foxworth and thought if possible him and his contact should have been moved this offseason for something but hindsight is 20/20.

I honestly would rather have reed play some cb and have zibby n pollard as our safeties.. That would be crazy to see but hey ue getting ur bwst players on the field..
I know its not madden dont crucidy me.. Reed is not a cb but why not put foxy inactive to heal and just have reed or naky run as our" 3cb" on some downs... Ehh just a thought..
And with foxy's roster spot we could just have brown and gorrer on the gameday roster as depth

And they're not targeting the secondary with Foxworth? It wouldn't hurt to at least see what Brown and/or Gorrer have to offer. I've been thinking on it since there seem to be so many differing opinions on just how well Foxworth played prior to his injury. I don't remember him being a great CB. Others do. I'll concede that perhaps my memory is flawed some. Perhaps there's is as well. That would mean he was an average to sometimes above average CB prior to his injury. Some players simply do not ever recover from this type of injury. I am beginning to think that Foxworth might be in that category. Regardless, seeing his current caliber of play, I am just not sure that Brown and/or Gorrer could be much worse.

Seriously! Does anybody really think Brown or Gorrer can be that much worse than an injured Foxworth? They guy is 5+ yards off his man on nearly every play. I am pretty sure anyone on our team and practice squad could keep up as well or not better than Foxy at this point. Let the guy get healthy, hopefully that happens sooner than later.

He should've been dumped in the offseason for a healthier, better corner. Heck, we would have been better off cutting him and giving his salary to Wilson.

This whole Foxworth situation is beyond infuriating.

Wilson wanted to be a Skin.

We should of cut him and signed someone else though. I would be fine with signing Josh Victorian over him....

It is infuriating but take some comfort from the fact that he probably won't see much if any playing time when we get Jimmy back healthy. I think we're likely to rest him this week now that Carr is healthy again.

Despite being the greatest safety Ed has never been a great man to man guy, I would leave him in his garden !

Why? Fox was the only DB that's happened to?
It was a touchdown on a lofted ball but Moss didn't beat Foxy with his height but rather because Foxy never got an eye on the ball.

Just rewatched the whole game again, specifically on CBs and Webb, Cary, Foxworth, and this is just my observation

Cary Williams is not who I thought he'd be at all. He has no stamina, he gives up on covering his receiver by either exhaustion or lack of focus. Webb in the other hand looks attentive, but as soon as it is thrown toward him, he is making irratic/bad decision to blow coverage. Foxworth..im surprised his even allowed to be a veteran considering how large of a cushion he puts himself between him and the receiver, and when is thrown to him, he is nowhere even close to the receiver.

This might even be worst then Frank Walker, Fabe Washington, Foxworth trio of 09'. At least in 09' they were playing physical. In this game they played soft and lacked willpower to cover their targets for full 60minutes.
I agree with you man..Im still shaking my head at that trio from 2009.lmao.You're right though. They did play more alot more physical that year than now.

Even better, we could have cut foxworth and had plenty of money to sign asomougha. Now we are stuck with paying foxy 8mil

Foxworth dun no be gud playar n haz naht contrebuted annnyyythingggg to da taem it like y we dun hav him on da taem in da furst place he dun naht hav no injary he faken it.

There's kinda was a reason why the team kept Dom over Wilson. This thread is just for bashing. If you want to really voice your opinion, go try to talk to the Chuck and explain your case. I'm sure you'll get shut down.

I hope that Foxworth can regain his speed. Otherwise, every team we face will try to throw on him. The Titans beat us badly due to our lack of ability to stop the pass.

Carr or Smith, Carr for sure should have been on Britt, but I dunno I am not the coach. I just know Fox got burned all night, Frank Walker style.

Nobody got by Frank Walker , nobody, he would just grab hold of you like oh no you dont,HOLDING FLAG was his middle name.

Foxworth is INACTIVE for the game against the Rams. Now let's see what our secondary looks like without Foxworth, the only bad news is Jimmy Smith is still out.

That just goes to show how banged up he really is. He doesn't trust his knee yet.

Sounds like Carr is playing. Probably part of the reason they decided to sit Foxworth

I Knew he should have been on the PUP list. Maybe that could have prevented Jimmy Smith from playing on special teams and he wouldn't be injured right now.

Secondary looked fine... Williams kinda worries me though. He was burned quite a few times.
He was definitely burned a few times, but at least on that one TD to Gibson, it was just a perfect throw from Bradford.
