I don't think he did as Webb was in there on returns. At a time when we were already down 2 CBs. I just don't get that part of it.

Problem with having a ST coach as the Head Coach, the ego gets in the way.

Also think its strange that we activate Gorrer but not Chykie Brown. Is he injured?! When does Sergio hit the field? Tandon Doss?

Foxworth will have the same tailspin C-mac had !
Difference being McAlister had elite talent at one point, Foxworth was always average.

Foxworth on Britt was just a joke. I even shook my head when NFLN played that Belichick special and it showed Foxy getting beat by Moss
Why? Fox was the only DB that's happened to?

Fox is horrible. I know when the Titans looked out there and saw him they probably fell out their trees laughing. It is all day with this guy. Line your best receiver up on his side and sit back and watch. I don't get it...I know Jimmy Smith was out with an injury and so was Carr. Does that mean that the kid we picked up from Texas is that much worse than Fox? Ride or die...sink or swim with Haurbough I guess. Thank God none of the injuries to the starting corners is serious. We are in trouble if so. The Titans aren't even a power house this season. I mean we shut Chris (the Gremlin) Johnson down, and still got the L. Let's go Black Birds!!

I would like to see any of you complaining about Foxworth just go out and try to play a game of puck up basketball or cut the grass after a torn acl. No team in the NFL would trade for him after a torn acl. Right now we have no one else to play corner any way.

I'm not sure Foxworth will ever return to that late 09 form to be honest. We may bench him as soon as Carr and Jimmy are healthy, and I wouldn't be surprised to see us let him go at the end of the season. After his time with the Ravens, he may sign with a lower level team that doesn't allow him to succed.

Don't worry, I'm not dismissing him, just giving you a possible forecast.

Foxworth, pre-injury, was still being burnt almost every play. Remember how we had him like 10 steps off the receiver all the time?? Thats why.... to make up for his lack of man coverage. He's horrible, injury or no injury. Get used to the fact. If you think I'm wrong about him sucking in 09, just go back and watch some of the clips from that season. And of course he improved late in the year.... there was no where to go but up LOL

Only thing with that is.... we aren't getting paid that much money that he is (or any at all for that matter)..... and besides that fact, he was the same EXACT way back in 09, before his injury. This is laughable..... all this selective memory crap going on hahahaha

I was going to point this out myself, but most of the board has already elected him into the Ring Of Honor, and I don't feel like getting into debates over the coaches.
All I can say is I was disappointed in Pagano today.

Wow, someone actually agreed with me haha. But I hope Chuck learns from this and know that you have to really tailor your gameplan to your opponent each week in the NFL because talent and a general defensive identity don 't get it done alone.

I hate losses, but if we lose, I prefer it to happen in the beginning of the year so we can better learn from our mistakes .

About Foxworth, it really takes two years to get back to form after an ACL tear. One year of recovery and one year of regaining confidence in the strength of your knee. Maybe I'm slightly biased, but I think Foxy will be fine.

Foxworth was never a great corner if you ask me and you. It does not matter how much he gets paid to play CB, if he was not that great before the torn acl, he is not going to be better after. Best options at CB are C. Williams and J. Smith(injured) mixing in the others.

If it takes 1 1/2 to 2 years to recover from a acl tear(This is true, they can be very stubborn injuries) then why is
he out on the field? That is a coaching problem Harbs.

I agree 100% with this. I thought you were in the Fox is Great Camp, but I guess I was wrong.

I've never though Harbs was a great coach either, but thats for another topic another day. We can debate this fact back and forth, but it won't matter in the long run. We're not the ones in control of the coaching personnel, and I don't think I could ever be; too much back and forth stuff. Heck, Reid was taking heat when the Eagles got rid of McNabb, and we all see how that went. But I'll say this; I've never been a fan of Harbs. I'm gonna leave it at that too.

Naw I'm just saying that to expect him to be what he was before the injury is a long stretch. D. Foxworth and F. Washington was a bad CB experiment.

We should have let Foxworth go a long time ago. It's not even about cap casualties anymore, he's just not a good starting DB. He's been a backup his whole career, dating back to his Denver and Atlanta days. Coming off of a torn ACL shouldn't excuse him at all. He wasn't a good DB before and now he's worst. Some of you guys were calling him a borderline Pro Bowl Corner at the end of '09. That's funny because he was always out of position, playing about 10 yards off (which he still does), has a hard time tackling, and can't handle the offenses' number 1. We need Jimmy and Carr to heal up fast or else our defense is going to get lit up by mediocre QB's. It's not the coaches fault, it's the players

Cary Williams also stunk too. I think (and I hope) he gets it now. There is a very thin line of success/failure. Cary needs to get better and not regress. So far since final preseason, he looked like his been regressing. But knowing his work ethic, I think he can bounce back. I wouldn't put him as a success till way later in week 6 to know if his any good. So far..not good.

In this particular game, I would say it was Pagano putting the dbs in bad positions. Even Jarret Johnson said so himself. This is his quote from the game.

“I’m sure everyone back home was expecting us to bring the same pressure we brought against Pittsburgh, but Roethlisberger is a different animal,” “He’s going to stand there and take it like a man. I’m not saying Matt isn’t (a man), but he’s a West Coast guy and he is going to throw it. You can bring seven guys (on a blitz) and he’s still going to throw it. … There’s no sense in sending seven and putting the pressure on your back end.”

I can't be too upset at any of our DBs today because they were pretty much put out to dry.

Not sure why anyone on here is defending Flacco right now he looked bad. In the pitt game he looked average given the short feild and all but Foxworth wow we could have cut him signed Wilson and still had money to play with.......Get this guy outta here.

I hope Jimmy Smith gets back faster than expected. We will need him for the Jets. Holmes is going to wreck us, as usual.

And the fact that yesterday he had no where to throw to, as noted by the commentators many times. Flacco has proven he can be great when given his receivers and o-line decide to show up to play, and yesterday, it seemed they never arrived at the stadium.

I was optimistic about him this year, too. He finished strong in '09 like someone said, and indications were that his knee was progressing really well all last year up until training camp.

I'm just going to call him Foxhound for now on because he does a lot more chasing than he does covering.

I didn't get a chance to rewatch the game but I was wondering why it looked like the Ravens left a CB on an island with Kenny Britt with no safety help? They needed more coverage on him and for the most part I saw the corners playing less press on the line or Britt was just too strong for them.

No Offense OP, but this is not news, he has for a while. If you just wanted to vent I get it, I have for a while and people just made excuses for him.
