Foxworth Is Terrible

QBs are just taking advantage of him. He has no burst and gets killed on cutbacks. Chris Carr needs to comeback soon..

Foxworth has never been a good CB... not sure why this comes as a shock to anyone. Just take a look back at his past performance prior to the injury and it wasn't much better then what we see now.

Why did they even put Foxworth on Britt? He caught his only TD pass against Foxworth.
They were saying they moved Britt around all game. Doesn't matter though, he was making plays on everyone, including Reed.

Foxworth is coming off injury first off an second Smith is injuried. Atleast if your going to complain point out valid points. Stop wanting to cry and complain over a game there was only one perfect team and it wasn't us. Its a long season with a short preseason were going to see bumps in the road every team will.

Foxworth is an overpaid, average At BEST as a corner. We held him for depth reasons only and we get burned when ever he takes the field. We could have and should have dropped him and kept josh but we did not. Not matter if he is coming of an injury. In his best day he would never have been able to keep Brit under control. To think he could would just be foolish of you.

Either way it was a total team loss. Neither side looked good. Joe was off, there was no timing between him and Evans and sure Bolden was being mauled on his routes. The defense was bad on run and passing plays. Just was not our day.

Knew we should have started Foxworth on the PUP list, it's time to cut ties with Foxworth, he's been ok for us but it's time to move on.

Sweet move putting JSmith on kick off coverage in game 1. Literally every corner on our roster should have been doing that except JSmith. Our secondary situation is no better than it was last year without JSmith, which means we get torched through the air by mediocre QBs like Hasselbeck.

his coverage was so bad i could of scored the Britt TD, why on earth would you be 6 yards back in the end zone when your covering a guy guy man on man

He simply doesnt play the ball like he used to. Today with a lack of a pass rush the cbs just couldnt dictate coverage. That said. 15-1 here we come

I made a thread about Foxworth during the pre season and everyone of you guys told me that i was wrong and that we need foxworth, now everyone is saying get rid of him. I told you guys since pre season this guy is a joke of a corner...and the most frustrating thing is that he is making 9 mil. OMG!

Don't remember if I posted in your thread or not but I have quite a few posts saying Foxworth was being remembered as a way better CB than he actually was and that he should have gone with Heap and Mason. Was never a big Foxworth fan.

Don't make excuses for Foxworth. He's not good. He's never been good. Seven years in the league and zero improvement. I stated during preseon that our corners were the weakenss of the D just like they have been for years now. The way to beat the Ravens is to throw at the corners.

Go with the younger players. See if they can play in this league. Start getting them experience for the playoffs. If they get burned, you can honestly say it's because they are rookies. Right now you can't say anything other than new year, same corner situation.

I hate jumping on a guy when he's down, but we really need to do something about this Foxworth situation. He really looks like a liability.
Lol , looks like a liability. Try is a liability, just like last week when he came in when C.Williams when out for a few plays. They threw in his coverage and he is 5 feet behind the guy trying to catch up. Every time i see him ,im yelling at my t.v to get him off the field.

It's been over a year since Foxworth last played. I think it's too early to pass judgment on him. Don't underestimate that knee injury.
Well if hes not fully comfortable on his new knee, why put him on Britt?

Foxworth isn't back and they need to stop acting like he is. This guy still doesn't trust that knee. And we shouldn't trust him. The opposition can do anything to him. THey can run past him, they can double move him, they can screen pass to his side, they can run at him and be successful with each and every one of those attacks without worry for a turnover. We need to let him rest up. Maybe we should have traded him.

Williams is good but he's no shutdown and no number one CB. He couldn't cover Britt because Britt has superstar type skills and measurables. Williams will be better when Jimmy is good enough to lock down every team's number one. I still think he willl get better as the year wears on.

Webb is too small to be a number one. He needs to learn that slot position. I think he is more of a playmaker than Williams but he is too small to get caught covering a large wideout. He also seems to have lost some speed since his rookie year. I've seen him chasing deep routes since last year. But he still seems to make plays more than most. If he can learn to lock down the slot, he will help this team a lot.

Jimmy has to be the one to become the lockdown corner for us. He has to shut down the big WR, learn to shut down the Andre Johnsons, Calvin Johnsons, and Kenny Britts of the world. He can do it but he has to get well and stay on the field first.

We know he's terrible, but at this point, we can't upgrade. If we got rid of him, who plays CB? Danny Gorrer? Nice try buddy.

I'm quite glad we didn't trade/release Foxy. Can you imagine how much WORSE it would be if Gorrer was starting? Gorrer and Webb on Washington and Britt? No thank you!

How do we know this? And what about Brown? We can't really say that either of them would be worse than Foxy. We haven't seen what they have.

Easy. They were getting beat in the PS. That's how we know this. Gorrer made the PS. Brown made one play. That's how...

How haven't we seen what they can do? Did we just pick them up? NO! they played all through TC and the PS. We know what they can do sir. There is a big reason they didn't play...

Pretty sure OP knew JS is injured and was sarcastically saying an injured JS is probably better than a less than 100% Foxworth. At least that's how I read it.

Edit: Oops. Guess I was wrong. haha.

BTW I still like Cary Williams a lot. He's physical and rangy, and I think once he gets some more playing time, he'll only get better. I don't think he played badly at all today considering Hasselbeck was slicing up the entire defense.
Is Foxworth the next Frank Walker? Yes sir.
At this point Frank Walker might be better than Foxworth. Atlease Frank played physical lol. Foxworth is really bad. ACL or not he had well over a year to recover from it. It took Webb like 9 months and he played way better than Foxworth is playin having more than a year.

Well, I'll say it was a matchup disaster for Foxy. Foxworth does good against finesse, speed receivers. Britt is a big, physical receiver. If we had Jimmy, I don't think it would have been a bad.
