MERGED: Loss To The Titans - General Observations

269 posts in this topic

So there were a lot of people that were saying that this game would be a cakewalk and an easy victory for us. Obviously it wasn't and I want to know what you guys think of our team now, because last week everyone was playing well and this week it seems like almost no one is playing well.

1st...i agree with you. many cats in here jumped the gun after our victory over the steelers in week 1 and started thinking about the playoffs, division championship and superbowl. many of them overlooked and looked past the Titans and said that we would steam roll them etc. not the case!

2nd...i love our team! it's just week 2 and we still have some work to do. and, in the words of a steeler fan that posted here last week after their loss, i will say....

"You are never as good as you think you are and never as bad as others think you are!"

I just do not think Webb is a full time cover corner. he has been lit up all day and the O'Line looks like it should have last week. It will just take time and the O'line will gel. Hopefully smith will get healthy and keep Webb out of the corner position. The ball just did not fall our way today and we had plenty of chances.

Well our secondary was crap, we gave Hasslebeck absolutely no pressure, our offense looked lethargic, and we had too many stupid turnovers. That is why we lost this game. Pathetic outing for the Baltimore Ravens. This was an embarrassing game to watch. Just pathetic.

The games not even over and you guys are tripping over nothing. We sustained injuries and didn't perform like we could have but things happen any given sunday. If we do lose we sit back watch the tape and try to improve on what we did wrong. Were still a top team and will have our better days plus i would rather learn now an lose now then later in the season when we should be soild.

I saw a combination of a lack of pass rush and coverage low points; Foxworth was served up. It is just too bad Smith and Carr are out because we need one of them bad for our coverage packages. Offensively, inconsistency is right AND you cannot turn the ball over more than twice when your offense is unable to gel. Another wake up call for the offense.

Ya we allowed Washington and Britt to get far too much seperation. We also had 0 pass rush, but I think that was largely because Hasselback only went to 4 step drops and got rid of the ball quickly because his guys got open so quickly so he didn't need to hold onto the ball.

See games like this when the defensive backs can't cover and the offense don't muster up much. Makes you wonder what did we do in the off-season. We need cornerbacks period!

how did flacco suck when the plays that were called gave him one receiving target and a checkdown? I swear if baltimore keeps cam next season i wont watch a single ravens game next year.

Don't feel bad at all Ravens. The better team lost today. Steelers are notorious for showing up for one game and then not the next. The Ravens will be back... it's all about being patient.

It's apparent that Flacco still cannot beat the 4-3 Cover 2 defense, and that his inconsistency has not disappeared.

CBs are still our weakness (our depth in that area was apparently overrated).

Our pass rush is not as good as last week would've had you believe (the Steelers OL is just that bad).

And Ray Rice was the only good player today.

This team was apparently still celebrating from last year, but now that we've lost a game we were supposed to win, the advantage from last week is meaningless. Maybe last week really was our Super Bowl.

Let's hope they get it together next week.

No bashing , what happen what a HIGH TO LOW....the very 1st series out I said O.....not looking good today.....I really think Flacco gets a certain a look in his eyes when it's going to be a bad day.....maybe a glazed lost look...not sure but usually one look at him and you almost pick the momentum of the game.....

Here we go with the Flacco bashing! It begins! You know what, Ravens Talk is dead to me for a week. If you honestly want to blame Flacco as if he could magically make receivers get open or catch catchable balls, you belong on my ignore list.

Putting our guys on an island with Kenny Britt obviously wasn't working. Hopefully they learned a lesson here. Again.

Something our fans don't know about. Moderation in fandom.

We will be back. We had a bad game on the road. Its not the end of the world. There are obviously things we need to work on after this game.

That's what putting your best cb on st gets you. He would have locked down kenny britt instead britt gets 150 yards and is the difference
I seriously doubt he locks down Britt.

But i agree with your point, hes got no business being on ST. And foxworth has no business being on our roster.
