My team's built for a marathon, not a race. Even with all the Ravens I have on there (four, I think), I think I'm doing OK for myself for the long haul.

My receivers are solid, and I knew I was onto something with Steve Slaton as my sleeper RB. Pierre Thomas has been a nice value pick, and my defensive players have done better for me than even I imagined.

I knew my love of defensive football would pay off one day -- my linebackers are beastin' it.

I'm just mad that I never recovered from Tom Brady's injury...I have NO consistency at QB.

LOL. You should have kept Drew Brees. I thought that was the dumbest trade in the world when I saw it but it paid off for him. I am kinda glad, I got Boldin for Taylor instead of Brady for Taylor.

Funny thing is, your brother didn't exactly make off like a bandit with the trade since the rest of his team still sucks, but it was a complete waste for ME since I dropped both Brady AND Ladell Betts...

I only agreed to it since I thought Brady would be healthy, and I thought I could get Clinton Portis in a trade so I could have a one-two punch with Betts...

That was such a dumb trade for him to make. I know he likes him and all but when was that trade ever going to pay off? * (I mean the taylor one)

We'll put it like this: if I had to trade for a LB/DL I liked, I would at least trade for Ray Lewis.

At least Ray Lewis is still PLAYING...Jason Taylor was a complete waste of a roster spot for him.

I'm with you. I didn't value tackles highly enough when drafting. I was going for sacks and picks, but sacks are only worth 2 solo tackles, and picks are worth 3 solo tackles. I should have looked at the point system more carefully before hand.

Hence why, when I was picking guys to fill my DL slots, I looked to the leading tacklers and the most consistent tacklers of last season.

DeMeco Ryans, Jon Beason, and London Fletcher are doing nicely for me. I'm not missing D.J. Williams too much since the statistical difference between him and those three guys is negligible.

According to NFL.com, I have three guys who are currently within the top 11 tacklers in the league (15, if you ignore the ties).

Don't remind meeeee...

I mean, I missed the draft too, but I had my pre-draft rankings personally set at something like 300 players deep across all positions, so it's not as if I was unhappy with the guys I picked up.

And all the roster moves I made afterwards, I was pretty happy about (minus the Tom Brady trade, which I'm regretting).

So in a sense, I should be doing MUCH BETTER than I am; I've just been starting the wrong guys each week...

But, the season's still early, I guess.

EDIT- I went back and looked at my drafted roster. I've only kept 9 out of 24 drafted players. Hmm...
