Hopefully 15 if he continues to improve year in and year out and lead a playoff team as consistently as he has in his YOUNG career! And again, for you to mention Boller in the same breath (sentence) as Flacco shows your disdain for the man and complete and utter lack of football intelligence. You are so off in everything you say its beyond ridiculous!

I thought you found his rhetoric's amusing, getting a little tired of it I take it.

Flacco is the ONLY qb to take his team to the playoffs 3 years in a row in his first three seasons in the history of the NFL. I HATE the argument that his defense has carried him. Well for all the qbs that have started in the NFL as rookies, none have done what Flacco has done. That includes every defense, and every high powered offense and yet Flacco is still the only person to do that. So how is "Flacco is being carried by his defense" a valid argument at all. Especially when you look at our defense last year and the year before at the problems our defense had at pass rush and cb; the defense has holes and no matter how much I love the Ravens D, they have problems. And Flacco has been part of the reason that the defense problems have been masked. But of course no one gives him credit for that.

Also, in the first 3 years in the NFL. Flacco has like the 5th most yards of ALL TIME for qbs in the first three seasons entering as a rookie (baltimore sun had that stat last year if you want to look it up). That includes the problems at WR without being able to stretch the field. That includes the problems with the offensive line last year, and how we struggled to run the ball. I can make all the excuses for Flacco but the fact is he still produces. He will bounce back from this week because he always bounces back.

But after all of those things Flacco has done for the Ravens, he still has an endless amount of people who want to be critical of him. The guy has been spectacular the first 3 seasons in the NFL, but people's expectations are on an unreasonable level. This week has irritated me of how many people want to be critical of him this week but didn't get on the message board the week after the week one game. Pretty sure there are spots on NFL.com for some of the people on this message board that always get on Flacco.
TRUTH!!! This is the Boller experiment-and I'm sick of hearing excuses for Flacco-Just how many years will it take to take enough?
This is only his fourth year! He still needs time to grow plus this is the year where he owns the offense, so everyone calm down. Next year he will really own this offense!

I love how when the Ravens get beat down by the Steelers in every aspect of the game, all the blame is instantly put on Flacco and Foxworth. Of course we excuse the offensive line and the fact that they were inconsistent all game, and Oher made some more stupid false starts. Of course we excuse the wide receiving core and the fact that no one got separation all game. Of course we excuse our pass defense for getting thrown on all day and losing the field position battle. Of course we excuse the coaching staff, and how they were so unprepared on both sides of the ball. All of the blame goes on Flacco. Not the fact that it is a team game.

Now Flacco played terrible. Just flat out terrible. But you all are crazy for thinking Flacco is going to have another game like that. You all seriously don't think that this team is going to rebound?

All of these arguments are made so emotionally and irrationally, and all of these arguments are based off of one bad game. If half of you were gm's Flacco would have been cut but where do we go from there. Flacco has won games and has taken this team to the playoffs 3 years in a row. You think that all the sudden he is going to drop off the map and play like he did against the Titans every week? You are crazy to think that. Flacco will take that next step and I know that because he has improved every year since coming into the league.

I remember a friend of mine, who was a die-hard Packers fan, call out Aaron Rodgers after he went a somewhat-dismal 27-46 with a pick in a 16-13 loss to the lowly Washington Redskins last year. "Rodgers is so overrated! Friggin' bench him!!! He's going to lead this team into the ground!"

I never forgot that statement, partially because it was so bewildering. I even wrote it down on my cellphone. As he screamed and hollered as Rodgers hoisted the Lombardi Trophy, I, being the insensitive [profanity deleted] that I am, read back his exact quote from that October debacle, and he turned into one of those dudes from a Southwest Airlines Wanna Get Away? ad.

I think the point is that every NFL quarterback--even the great Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, etc.--has bad weeks. The league is too good. The Titans are too good. You can't come out that apathetic, with virtually ZERO run blocking, giving up long balls the way the Ravens D did, giving Flacco two to three seconds to make a play on throwing downs, and expect him to do ANYTHING. Go watch Manning highlights and see how many picks he's thrown in those circumstances. It's been more than one or two.

The Ravens sucked last Sunday. It wasn't just Flacco, or the defense, or the coordinators, or Michael Oher, or Anquan Boldin--the entire organization just sucked. That happens in this league, and when it does, I assure you even an also-ran like the Tennessee Titans will smell the blood in the water, go for the jugular, and kick your trash. Maybe they'll even insert a few more sports cliches in there, too.

Flacco deserves a break, if only because there wasn't much he could have done last week. Not many QBs would have led that team to victory, because the quality of quarterbacking wasn't the cause of defeat. Tyrod certainly wouldn't have. Some goof like Landry Jones won't, either. Let's watch what happens this week. If the team comes out fired up to avenge last week and Joe shreds the Rams D for 300 and they win by three or four scores, I predict a lot of people will want to do some shuffling. If the opposite happens, then perhaps there's some room for concern.

The bottom line is we're 1-1 and tied for first in the division. The panic button doesn't need to be pressed yet.

I foresee Flacco will start his breakout season this coming Sunday against the Rams. His young (rookies) receivers start to catch some short passes, and his confidence arises and starts bombing away with Torrey and LaQuan, tearing up the middles with Doss and Boldin, unloading cannon with Rice and Leach.

That is my magic-8-ball telling me........

Waaaahhhhh, Flacco isn't everything I ever hoped and dreamed for! 3 playoff appearances? Psh. 3 Super Bowls in his first three seasons, and then MAYBE I'd concede that he could be an above average QB. But he just doesn't have IT. IT!!! I WANT IT!!!
