More Shots At Flacco (Still?!?)

I agree. The play calling was conservative, and we didnt pass enough. That being said, Flacco did have trouble with reads. That was just one of many problems, on both sides of the ball.

Joe can't do anything against the cover 2, and that's something he needs to be able to do before we can talk about him being in the same class as Rodgers, Brady, Rivers, Brees, Ben, etc.

Joe? I think it is up to Cam to call the right plays. He needs a copy of "Beating the Cover Two for Dummies".

Flacco will NEVER be in the same class as them.I'd take out Big Ben from that equation and maybe after several more similar performances id throw in Stafford. Big Ben is in the same class as Flacco and both QB's won't break the plane.I accepted that a long time ago. You can say all you want about Flacco didn't have protection and blah blah blah but Rivers made it happen with NE breathing down his back..

Rivers got intercepted twice, lost a fumble, and lost to NE by the same margin we lost to the Titans. How did he make it happen?

I agree, but some of the blame has to be on Flacco. I don't know what it is, but Cover 2 teams really do give him some problems. We're in a very similar situation today to what we were in last year after week 2.

Uh, no! He didnt....as someone already pointed out, his 3 turnovers were major contributions to SD LOSING!

He was also 30 for 40 attempts with nearly 400 yards on a better defense than Tennessee..

It's hard to tell at this point, but I'm not so sure the Pats have a better D than Tenn. This is the second straight game they gave up 400+ yards on offense.

The Pats are good because Tom Brady is a God on offense.

Does that negate 3 turnovers?  No, not all.  Your comparison is flawed and not in your favor at all!

Pats D is NOT better than Tennessee...no way

We got smashed by a subpar d-line and average defensive backfield...

Not denying that we lost and that it was a very, very poor performance. Just arguing your asinine timing/attempt to compare anyone to Rivers after he had 3 turnovers.

Morgan and Jones were out for Tennessee last week. That obviously helped their defense this week.

And MJD is not a joke. They clearly learned from their mistakes.

Id take Rivers 3 turnovers before i let Flacco at the helm against Jets in week 4, thats for sure.

Well Dilfer's article notwithstanding, Joe looked horrible on a day where you would like to see your franchise QB to put the team on his back. Expect to hear more of the same from the media.

300 total yards for a D is not bad, but hey, NE's been average 500 yards....

Thats cool and thats your opinion, but your timing, again, was what was hilarious and uninformed! But, then again, you once said you make more than all of us and live in Hawaii....so carry on!

And he's still not a joke. All I'm saying is that there's no real evidence right now that the Pats D is better than the Titans D, a Titans D that was one of the best for a good part of the last decade. It's hard to tell at this point in the season.

The only QBs who can will their team to victory at all times are Brady, Rodgers, Manning, and Brees. Everyone else has to rely on a balanced offensive attack. We didn't have that, so we lost. Everyone wants an elite QB, but that's why they're elite - there aren't many of them.

Right now there is a degree of truth involved in this. Flacco rides his good defense way to much, and needs to take over the team. Im still waiting on one great performance, so i can say that's our guy

And Chad Henne threw for over 400 yards on the Pats D. Pretty sure this is far, far, far worse, since Jax is known to be explosive at times on offense.
