There we go. Now the fine on Troy makes sense, if they're going to fine ALL the horsecollars.

I wonder what they're going to do with all that money.

Next Goodell is gonna start fining players for false starts and holding. It's part of the game, both horse collars were penalized. That's enough already, I don't think troy or ayanbadejo were trying to hurt the other player. it's just a bang bang play and they were trying to make a tackle from behind. Goodell is out of his mind, this is a physical game, if the hit isn't intentional or blatantly dirty (helmet to helmet, taking a shot at someone's knees). then penalize it and move on. Seriously what is he gonna fine players for next?

Goodell is just trying to make up the difference for his "$1" lockout salary with all these fines, nice job man, keep penalizing the most physical sport that requires the most physical plays to be successful. I agree the penalties in game should have been enough for Troy and Brendan.

So it makes a guy wonder why did they not want to show the books during the lockout, is it because the fines alone could have gotten the deal done......hmmmmm....I wonder. I hope that dude stubs his toe at 2:30 in the morning for the rest of his life.

They have been saying that they will crack down on plays that could seriously injure someone. Hopefully Brendan and Troy and the rest will see this and do what they can to find another way to get at their opponent.

I'm as upset as anyone about alot of the seeming over-zealous attempts to make the game safer at a detriment to the game, but this is not one of those. Ask a player, I'd imagine a vast majority will take a helmet to helmet hit over getting horsecollared any day of the week. It can destroy careers. You could make the argument our own Musa Smith was never the same after his horsecollar tackle. I'm not saying any of this makes BA a dirty player, nor Troy for that matter, but the league has to make every effort to stamp it out of the game, and a penalty is not sufficient.
