TMZ Claims Chris McAlister Broke--He Denies Talking To Them

Lets say hypothetically this story is true and he's broke, what's wrong with his child having a good life and insuring that he/she can potentially make something of themselves, instead of giving more money to Chris McAlister to blow on his self destructive life style?

I don't really believe TMZ anyways, but I figured I'd ask that considering a lot of people seemed more surprised about the amount he had to pay in child support rather than the fact he blew $17.5M + his base salary.
Keep in mind that 11k per month for 12 months = 132k say over 10 years thats only 1.32m, she wasn't the main reason he went broke!

It doesn't take $132k a year to raise a child, though.

Doesn't matter what it takes to raise a child, it matters that this child should have a decent life according to his fathers earnings.
Lets say if Bill Gates divorced his wife, should his children only get 1k a month because that's all it takes to raise a child?

Yes. It doesn't matter if your parents are rich. You don't have a "right" to a certain cut (percentage) of their pay. They could give you all of their money or just enough to keep you kicking. In McAlister's case the child should only need $2,000 a month in child support money at the most ... the mother needs to help raise the child, too, right? This is a neutral view. I'm not defending McAlister's selfishness by any means.

Right, that's fine. My main point of view was his selfishness as far as blowing his money and my point being that it's good the kid got what he could while McAlister had something to give, and I don't see anything wrong with that!:P

If $132,000 a year is what it takes to live a decent life, then I've been doing it all wrong. $11,000 a month is far too much money for child support.

He still can be a coach, no reason to be unemployed at his age and health. I have a feeling it has more to do with his "obligations" and him positioning himself to lighten his debt load soon. $11,000 for child support is just ridiculous.

No kidding. Im still wondering why if the father makes more its alright to take more. 11,000 a month for one child takes care of the mother, and the Boyfriend/ husband, and any other kids that they have. Broken System. Chris broke though, is unheard of. Smh

Yes with free medical ,dental, food, and school supplies. That's it. He is suppose to be taking care of the child, not the Ex wife in child support.

This is just a classic example of how women can exploit men. Because if he has to pay that much child support than the child's mother doesn't need to work to support her family and she didn't "earn" that income. It's stupid.

It's all a shell game. No doubt he has a fraction of what he did but this a court document related to child support. He's claiming to have nothing to lessen his child support which should no doubt be lower. His baby mama is prolly trying to get every penny and he's trying to keep every penny and the courts will sort it out somewhere in the middle. He should have an NFL pension at the least, no? Remember he didn't declare bankruptcy which would take a deep look at his finances and obligations this is a family court document and they'll find the money. No doubt $11k/mo is too high but he ain't that kind of broke.
