Say It's So John(Cam)!

8 posts in this topic

Last week we finally played a game where there was aggressive, attacking offensive play selection for a full 60 minutes rather than a conservative, predictable "play not to lose" game plan. John, please tell us every game will be approached this way and the 2011 Ravens will try to use all of their offensive weapons as effectively as we did last Sunday. Can we expect perfect execution week in and week out? Maybe not. If we happen to lose(what!)a game or two along the way, at least we know we lost putting everything we have into the game.

I've been a Ravens fan since Day 1 and have never been one to predict a Super Bowl win in any season. There are too many variables in the SB equation. But I do have to say that this is the best overall group of offensive players we have assembled in 16 years, a great mix of experience, youth and talent. Let's make sure we give them every chance to succeed!

We did any many people were giving Cam his repreive because of execution, while people (known as haters I guess) said that if you let the players do what they are good at execution is generally a by product. In regards to cam I have been a staunch anti-cam guy, but he called one hell of a game on Sunday and anybody with eyes could see that. It is too small of a sampling size for me to say he is the greatest thing since sliced bread but his chair is gettin a lot cooler.

If they do this every week we are going to be a force to wreckoned with the last team I can remember that was this balanced was the 10' packers, and we have a better run game. Look where they landed so I am not predicting anything but we right now we have as good a chance as anybody else.

I have been one of the many Cam Cameron detracters but I was also very impressed with the aggressive style. Just hope it remains.

I also wish it didn't take "Cam under fire" to get to this point. But no matter how we got here, I'm glad now.

I have to believe that there is now much more involvement by others in the play calling schemes. I don't think we can give Cam full credit for the game plan. If you recall, Harbaugh said at the end of last season that he would be much more involved in the O in 2011. Do I think he's calling plays? No. But I do think that he and others are now much more involved in putting the O game plan together. And I also believe Cam was finally "ordered" to give Joe the keys to the car and to get in the back seat. Thank God!!!

I'd like to think that the aggressive style is a result of Harb's influence on the offensive game plan. Harbaugh is a go for the throat kind of guy (just like his brother a'la Standford USC) and it wouldn't surprise me if during this off-season John made it clear that we would not become complacent on either side of the ball no matter the score. Harbaugh said he would get more involved, maybe this is just the product of that collaboration.
