What Team Will Pagano Join as Head Coach After Baltimore?

Way to soon. Let the man coach the Ravens for a few years before we start even speculating. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.

id like to think in maybe 3/4 season hed become ravens head coach... Harbugh has done a great job, but this is his fourth season, i just dont think he makes it to 8 seasons here, not because of bad records, maybe he just trys a new challenge or a contract cant be agreed. i just dnt see him being a bill billichick (sp) and spending almost a whole career at one team...

Give him at least two good years running this defense if we perform at a high level...then his name will be mentioned..it might start sooner but its likely going to take more than 1 year...unless the Ravens have the best defense EVER and win the SB

I don't think he is going anywhere, anyone know how long his contract is being our DC? Chuck looks to be someone who doesn't want to be a Head Coach, he just looks like he would be more comfortable calling plays on the sidelines rather be wearing headsets. I think we may have found our version of Dick Lebeau in terms of a long time defensive coordinator.

Way too early for this talk

But if you want a similar example, Steve Spagnuolo was DC at the Giants for only two years

Similar age and similar career profiles

[profanity deleted]. He called a great game and all, but this is beyond going overboard.

Yep. As long as we are winning consistently, John isn't going anywhere. Steve really likes him. Ravens Brass know the value in having a stagnant structure.

read it again, i didnt say hed get fired or whatever, people just move on after a while, try neew things, new challenges, family reasons, whatever, i just cant see him spending his career here, and if that happens i dont know if biscotti will pass up on another great coach coming up through the ravens ranks like rex.. its all speculation

I am sure he will go to some team eventually...but no time soon...but if and when he does i hope he does not predict Super Bowl wins every year for his team.

what are you basing that off? all coaches have family and could move on, John is deeply involved in this team, they are already talking of extending his contract or they already did...dont remember

he's not going to quit after his deal is up, because they arent going to let his deal come up unless they want to

He just started his first season as an NFL defensive coordinator, and you want to know what head coaching position he is going to take? Laughable.

Putting the cart before the horse a bit, aren't we? Perish the thought. I highly doubt Pagano's going anywhere for a few years.

im not, im just speculating, isnt that what this thread is about? what are you baseing "he isnt going anywere" off? its all specualtion, guessing,. at the end of the day it wont matter jack what we say in here, i just dont think he will be here "forever" and i guess i would like someone that knows us, eg a co ordinator at the team to take that step up.. howver in saying that im actually kind of glad the passed on rex, hes too much "in the spotlight" and i dont think the ravens suit that

but your speculation is out of left field and mine is just the norm in the league, when a guy gets his first head coaching gig and does well, he usually doesnt pack up and call it a day...he wants to win a SB and the front office has already talked about his extension...like i said earlier im not sure if they did one already or not i cant recall

What the heck, you guys are nuts... HC is not heading anywhere, and Pags has been DC for ONE GAME... at the least let him get a season under his belt, without The HoFers in the middle.... as much as I hate the Squealers, Lebeaux has done it for years with and without the best players on the D he currently coaches... Pags is just getting started.

Ok it is the consensus of this board that it wone be worried about for a minute.

However in the interest of speculation, 2 pieces that I think will be here until they decide to stop coaching, and that is Harbs and Pagano.

Somebody mentioned LeBeau, I completely agree, he will be our Lebeau, or Jim johnson, or Monte Kiffin. Now I have given my fair share of Cam hate but if he puts the rest of the season together like he has here we will WANT him to stay, whether or not he does is up to him but I think if he strings a few together he takes the HC role again.

Correct me if I'm wrong but teams have to want a coach to interview with them.. I think if any of our coaches interviews with other teams we would wish them all the best!!

The better question would be, when the hell is Billick going to coach again? I want to see him back in the league.

Im pretty sure Pagano just called his first game. Give him some time. And I think Harbaugh will be here for awhile, he reminds me a lot of Sean Payton. And I think we are seriously on the verge of a Super Bowl. If not this year, then next.

Consistent is a better word than stagnant, imo. But I do know what you mean. Coach continuity is important...familiarity, etc.

I think people are overreacting to an obvious joke. Our defensive coordinators eventually leave to become head coaches. It's another reason I hate the Steelers so much because they get all this credit for having a consistently good defense (which they do) but how many other teams have the luxury of having the same coordinator for two decades.
