What makes you think the Titans is a fairly bad team, especially after one week? Hasselback ain't bad, CJ is one of the top RBs in the league, many would argue the best, Brit is a good WR and they have a decen O-line over there. Also, their D is aight too.
They have a lockout running back who didnt do anything this offseason and is only playing his second game...He had one amazing season and besides that his other ones have been good years but nothing remarkable. They have an aging, nonmobile quarterback who will be able to throw short to intermediate routes, yet with any pressure he will not be able to escape. Theyre fullback who blocked for johnson is hurt this year. They have very young tight ends who are average at best. Britt is theyre only real passing threat, and weve seen in this league if you have one man who can catch and he gets double teamed with no help, that offense will most likely not succeed.

Defensively no they are not that bad but they are very young. I called them fairly bad because they have some very young players who are inexperienced. Yes they will make plays but the youth going against our experienced offense, on paper, does not bear very well for them. Athleticism can only get you so far.

So all in all i called them a fairly bad team because

1. they lost to a bad jaguars team led by a terrible quarterback.
2. As long as we contain johnson and make them one dimensional there is no way theyre passing game alone can hurt us drive in and drive out.
3. Theyre defense is athletic and has some good players but are very young and with the talent we have on offense i dont see the titans defense being able to effectively stop us for 4 quarters.

Maybe theyre not a fairly bad team but against us, at least on paper, they are a faily bad team and a team that if we play like we should, we should easily be able to handle

According to Rotoworld...Chris Hope is highly unlikely to play this week after not practicing all week due to a bum shoulder.

Big advantage for us seeing how he has started 49 straight for the Titans. I see our offense having a nice day seeing how banged up their defense is. Lee Evans says he's playing too (even though I think he should rest).

I think it's get check time for the Titans. You just lost to a hated divisional rival, and now you have a team that has made you miserable in big games over the years coming into your house. This is our first trip to Nashville since the 08 div. playoffs.

Titans reportedly will retaliate if Ravens hurt C.Johnson. news link Is there still bad blood or just hype ?

So Grubbs' toe is hurt and he's missed practice this week. From what I can tell Gurode is his backup on the depth chart. I don't think we lose anything there given the guy was a Pro Bowler not long ago. Am I right?

I'm really excited for this game since last Sunday, I hope the Ravens come in strong and bury the Titans!
Nothing better than dominating the Steelers and Titans in the first two weeks of a season!

I feel uneasy about this game for some reason. I hope they don't intentionally try to injure one of our guys.

I hope they don't fall into the trap.

I hope nobody is taking this game for granted. It will not be a Steeler give away game. We will be lucky to get out of dodge with a 2 point victory. Expect plenty of injuries too-those freaks want blood!

I hope you're not taking them seriously! lol

We're not gonna take em as a joke. Harbs is a better coach than that, and we're a better team than that. But, with that being said, they are going to get steamrolled.

This is the NFL! I don't know about all of you, but every game makes me nervous as heck.... I only hope we can replicate the Steelers game over and over and over again 18 more times and we will be hoisting the LOMBARDI!

while i am glad to see that we Ravens fans are confident in our boys....i also noticed that many of us here are over confident and boardline arrogant by saying things like..."titans are a easy win" or "steam rolling" the Titans. smh! that sounds kinda of "steeler-fanish" of you guys! we are not them! let's stay humble!

we had an awesome season opening win against our nemesis and demolished and silenced them but don't think for a moment that the Titans didn't see that or that they are not preparing for us! this is their season opener in front of their fans. will we win? of course as a Ravens fan i will say yes but, this is the NFL and we shouldn't take any team lightly.

let's go Ravens!

I'm nervous over every game, especially on the road. No win is an easy win, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost.
While I totally agree that "no win is an easy win", it would be a huge surprise if we lost. We come into this game relatively healthy(save for CB), and I am fully confident that no one in the entire organization is going to take any game for granted.

Doesn't Tenn play Cover-2? Flacco struggles against that. I don't expect him to have another flawless game.

We're very familiar with the Steelers at this point, though. Tenn is a bit of a mystery.

Playin the cover 2 has been an issue only because of a lack of speed. Because we had no speed, and possession WRs the Cover Two stopped us because they could flood the middle of the field with LBs. So that eliminates slants, drags, and crosses. In other words, taking Boldin out of the game. Because of the lack of speed, they could afford to keep only 2 safeties deep. We didn't have a deep threat, we had short-medium threats. How do you stop that? The cover two. The Cover 2 was designed specifically to beat the west coast, which has emphasis on the short-medium routes. therefore, it was rediculously easy to stop our offense. Especially since other teams could put 8 guys in the box to stop Rice.

With the new speed on offense, the cover 2 won't be nearly as effective against us as last year.

We'll see. All I know is that the Titans always play the Ravens tough.

I hope you are right, not only for this game, but also that I can be as confident about the Ravens playing the Bengals as I usually am about the Browns.

Some key Titans DEs who were out last week will be back tomorrow, so I doubt we'll be able to dominate them on the ground like Jax did.

Let's not forget this team actually started 5-2 last year, beat the Cowboys at home when they were good, destroyed the Texans at home, and gave the Colts two very close games.

For some reason I just think this is a bad matchup for us right now with our CB situation. And will the 2 TE set work against them? I don't know. I guess we'll see.

I bolded three important words...

The 2 TE set will work. Who are their backers? Who's the SS?
