Surprise Call Of The Day..

16 posts in this topic

Lots of things come to mind. Us absolutely wrecking Pittsburgh comes to mind as THE suprising thing, next was Jarret Johnson's demolishing of Whines Ward, but what surprised me more was Sam Koch rushing for a 2-point conversion. Nothing more demoralizing than something like that. Im sick and have the flu but my neighbors came over to see what was going on because i was yelling so loud. Great game today..

That pretty much said "We will do whatever we please". God, I love it when a plan comes together. Winning.

Sam Koch with the Ol' Hat Trick. At that moment he robbed Stillers of any morale they had left. Thats why it was my most satisfying part of the game...

What was the score at that point? I saw Big Jenn with a backhanded "if that's how their coach wants to play, that's cool..." about the 2-pt conversion. I also saw on the Steeler's forum that they all thought it was over the line and served no real purpose. I could have swore that made it a 3 possession lead right? Or something similar. Whatever it was for it certainly hacked off a lot of people, well...all the right people anyway LMAO.

It made it 29 - 7 instead of 28 - 7. So basically it prevented the Steelers from tying it up with just 3 TDs. They'd have to convert a 2 pointer to tie and manage to convert 2 of the 2 pointers to win. It wasn't about that though. They kept on rushing up to try to block the kick- so they did it to make them think twice about it. How many times have they comeback to beat us? Nope. Just keep on scoring and never let up. You don't like it? Then stop us.

very upset to not see the 2pt attempt on any highlight videos.

I think the only reason why it wasn't on any highlights is because the Ravens already appeared to have the game well in hand. If it were a closer game, the drama of the moment would've made it more significant. Instead, it got lost in the 35-7 score.

I love how the Flacco-to-Boldin TD on the opening drive was on multiple replays during other broadcasts shortly after it happened, though. :)

Sam Koch gets the nod from me. There are many schools of thought on why, but I just loved it for what it was, awesome!

Hines Ward being tee'd off on by Reed and JJ was pretty plump. Have to say, I don't think I saw that stupid fake grin on his face once today. What a great game!

The 2 pointer was unexpected but I liked it. The steelers have dug out of holes before. The fact is, if you don't like getting scored on then stop it.

Sam Koch, leading all punters in points scored.

Was there a more awesome 3 play series ever? Haloti jacks up Mendenhall for fumble recovery. Flacco to Dickson TD. 2-pt conversion.

All three phases back to back to back in spectacular fashion. On top of the world right now.
