normally you dont put your starting CB on kick off, how many times do you see revis, covering a kickoff? or asomuga?
He was a rookie, rookies routinely play ST. Do we forget Lardarius Webb? Heck, even veteran starters play ST, too. Foxworth was gunning on ST for us in 2009.

I was pretty impressed, sure our d-line dominated BB the whole game, but i liked what i saw. I was pretty dissapointed not seeing Jimmy playing, and Doss/Smith/Evans not getting any receptions, or Kindle not playing, but overall im happy about the results, great game.
Smith and Evans impacted the game just by being on the field.
But, yeah, the only knock you could maybe have against Cary is that he gave up the TD, however no DB can cover for that long.

Those two are established veterans. Though he was named a starter, Jimmy is still a rookie.

I'm not sure we saw the same game, but Jimmy went down on the Ravens first Kickoff before the defense even took the field.

Also Foxy played pretty well today. He gave up some underneath throws, but I think it was by design. He didn't allow any of those fast WRs to get behind him.

Also for his first real game action since the injury, I'd definitely give him a passing grade
I agree with this completely. Not every corner in the nfl, in fact rarely at all, is able play so well that he takes away both the underneath and over the top routes. The steelers wide receivers can only be described as fast behind ward, so Foxworth giving up 7-8 yard receptions is okay with me. The defense was able to avoid the big play all day and it showed with the final score. Our defense is so good this year that we should be able to stop teams, so by not giving up big passing plays we give the team a better chance to win. Id much rather have a 3rd down and 2 then a 70 yard touchdown pass. We penetrated all day and it appears that our famed rush defense might be back, which is scary because we actually had a secondary today unlike we've had in recent years

Jimmy and cary could be our shut down cbs we were waiting for. Hope Jimmy is alright after that injury. The lvl of coverage dropped off immediately after foxworth came in to replace jimmy on 2nd half. We need jimmy as soon as he is recovered!
Yes indeed dem two gon be a great 1,2 combo...two big physical fast ball skills corners! hope Jimmy be ok and ready to rock next week!

If we played this good without jimmy, imagine when he gets in there

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Cary Williams did an extraordinary job. On to Tennessee, Ravens. Domination, baby. One game at a time.

cary was really great. like all guys of our team. i thought we would have had a few problems with all the new guys but they proved me wrong. i have to eat my words now but they taste fine. i will watch this game over and over again.

i am still pissed that we let our possible starting cb- first round pick play special teams. you have other guys for jobs like that!!
hope he gets well soon. we need him against the titans

He's going to be special. A little inconsistent today, but his great plays definitely outweighed the few plays he got beat on. And he's even more important due to some of the injuries at the corner position.

Looks like I'ma be down another $100. That's what jerseys are goin for these days, right?

Oh, btw. Regarding Jimmy's injury. THAT's why you don't trade away Foxy.

If you search around, you can/should only pay $40 or so. And yes, its stitched lettering and all.

... That sounds shady. I demand to know who/where these vendors are so I can do some... investigating.

Reason #1 why the 3 man rush should be abolished from our playbook.

Cary played pretty well. I was very skeptical of throwing him into a starting spot, but if he can string together a few more solid outings, I will hop aboard the bandwagon.
