Even with the turnovers, it's pretty amazing he's racked up the yards with his best receivers being Steve Smith, Greg Olsen and Jeremy Shockey.

Newton is very impressive. Imagine if their running game was even half-decent and the defense wasn't so atrocious. This kid's going to be great.

On the bright side of things, if they keep losing and happen to have another top pick, they would have a shot at getting Alshon Jeffery or Justin Blackmon, could you imagine how dangerous the Carolina Offense can be if the Panthers can get one of those two receivers.

Their running game is stale right now but it should still come around. Having Otah out for the game was big for the run game. I really think both opposing teams gameplanned to take the running game out. But Cam is making play after play for future teams to shift focus.

I love how Newton, the number one overall draft pick, still doesn't have a picture on NFL.com.

His dad wanted too much money lol.... sorry I couldn't resist.

His team might be 1-3, but he's still playing relatively amazing football.

Yeah, Cam Newton is the real deal. He's totally rejuvenated Steve Smith's career.

All I have to say about this week for him is 1 TD, 3 INTs. You can't win a football game if you throw for 500 yards if you're throwing INTs like Jake Delhomme. Then again, that's something Carolina fans are used to...

Hes a rookie, cut him some slack. Flacco made the same stupid INTs early in his career, especially the Titans game. He'll learn

I'm blown away by how Cam has done already this year, for being a rookie on a team that doesn't have a great offense, plus less time to learn the playbook and have training camp due to the lockout, the odds are against him and yet he's still putting up good numbers. In other words, the man's a freak.

I really figured Chicago would stop him this last week, especially after a dismal week 3 against Jacksonville, but somehow he came back. Unfortunately it also meant I won the worst benching award for the week in my fantasy league due to Flacco going cold in Q2 and 3

So we'll see what he does this weekend against the Saints.

How can you keep holding his record against him? Do you expect that any rookie qb would be able to instantly turn around the worst team in football? He has only impressed me this far though i had a lot of scepticism entering the season. After 4 weeks he has a rating at 84,5 and 1386 yards. Thats really really impressive no matter how you cut it. Only Brady and Brees have assembled more yards and they have offenses around them thats playing at a whole other level than the Panthers.
