I know were still off the radar but I was browsing around message boards today and I stumbled on the "squeelers" board. Ironically enough were playing them on Monday and I just wanted to see if the Ravens D struck fear into anyone yet and I'd rather show you than reiterate the fact that THIS IS OUR YEAR to take the division.
lol they sound so scared and its only one game their acting like the season is on the line
I think this game will be critical for them if they lose it. If our team does what the eagles did to them itll lay out a game plan for other teams to do what we did. To their offense ofcourse. The steelers team is very reliant on their offense to score unlike us. How our defense can score just as good as our offense.

I am glad the Steelers think there D is so good considering they played againsts a hurt McNabb, no Westbrook and a core of recievers lead by DeSean "I hope the ball crosses the goal line this time" Jackson. Not to mention 3 guys on the Eagles offensive line didn't practice all week because they were at a funeral and Andrews was out with injury. Well I hope you bring ice for next week cause we are going to pound the ball down your throat with our running game. By the end of the game we won't be the only team with purple and black as our color.

P.S. Big Ben the Mad Backer is looking to refresh your memory about the hardest you ever have been hit.

I can't wait for this game, we're gonna have T-Sizzle, Bannan, Pryce, Ngata, Scott, and maybe some of our secondary all in Big Ben's face. Our D-Line is better than the Eagles and we will cause havoc on the Steelers offense. Just hope that our offense can move the ball on there offense which is also very good.

I feel sorry for the wayward soul who said "our defense is MUCH better than Baltimore's" Really? Come on really son? Thats just ridiculous to even say. We need to compare the QB rating of Anderson in Week 2 to Week 3 we held him to a 22.5 QB rating 37% completion with 4 sacks 3 interceptions and a forced fumble while in week 2 under much worse conditions for Anderson they only registered 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and no forced fumbles while allowing a 56% completion rating and only scoring a paltry 10 total points NONE of which came from their defense while we scored 14 points from turnovers. Okay argument is resolved and the answer is clear:

Ravens D > Steelers D
Ravens D > Any Other Defense

You know why they think their D is better then ours. Is because they seriously still think we are the 5-11 team from last year. They should really pay attention and look before they start to say some stuff. Especially compare to see what they did to a team that they previously faced.
they keep saying that they flacco hasnt seen a defense like ours... he sees a better one everyday in practice
Seriously. He gets better because of every practice he gets against our D. Ofcourse its not a W on the line but our D is better then any D when healthy. Ray Lewis can still be a brick wall and not "OVERRATED" as quite a lot of people say. For those people who are still saying it clearly not watch any of our games to see that he still has it.

Its great to see to things from our team. 2 great masterminds on both sides of the ball. It must be really interesting in practice.

Rex Ryan vs Cam Cameron

2 great coordinators on their side of the ball.

Wow, that suprises me. Even though its pretty obvious that we are a better team than last year, I just never would have imagined that Squeeler fans would ever admit to that.

These two teams will be out for blood! It's going to be a slugfest. I can't wait!!

good point...

and this is a critical game for us because if we can sweep our division rivals we will be recognized and have more of a chance to take the division tital.

if our defence can have their way with the steelers o-line than i think we might just have the game beat already thats something we need to exploit...

I'd have to say this one:
Same D we smoked for 5 TD passes in the 1st half last year at home?
Surely you should be aware when the team your playing is down to their 4th and 5th corners!?

Its pretty wierd to see all the Steelers fans in agreement that their OL is horrible. They are actually predicting at least 5 sacks.

They have their game plan right, but it plays into our game. If they make quick short passes we will be jumping all over those. If they don't, they have a long day ahead of them in the offensive blocking scheme.

Someone said our linebackers are slow. They can think that but the bottom line is thier weak OL is going to need to block Suggs and Pryce. If they double up on either of these guys we shoot Jarrett Johnson right through the gap. Plus they aren't going to be able to run.

On paper, it looks like we have a match made in heaven for our defense. Now our offense is a different story. They should be able to stop the run for the most part. Then they will start throwing things at Flacco which will be hard to read.

LoL.. I read that part about our LBs being slower then the eagles. He clearly hasnt seen Suggs or Barnes run after the QB. Ofcourse Barnes missed Palmer that 1 time but imagine if Palmer was a little to Barnes right side instead of the left. Barnes woulda had a JACKED UP moment right there. Our LBs are all fast. I think they will remember how fast they are when they MNF game comes around.

It's hard to stop the run all game when we have 4 pairs of fresh legs in the backfield in McGahee, McClain, Rice and Neal. I'm looking for most of our yardage on the ground to come from the second half. That is, of course, if we are ahead or the game is close. They can throw all the looks they want at Flacco but when they are tired in the second half and we are busting off 3,4,5 yard runs at a clip, what they throw at Flacco isn't gonna matter. If our offense can continue to be efficient this game should be ours. The key to our defense is keeping them fresh. We don't have to score 35 points against this team. a solid 17 or 21 points while managing the clock well like we have been doing should be enough to put this one away.

The Browns and Bengals teams are 25th and 28th in league at stopping the run. The Steelers are 2nd, than we face the Titans who are 1st in week 5.

To think we are going to run over the Steelers because we have "fresh legs" is wishful thinking. Both these teams know how to sotp the run. We aren't in Kansas anymore Toto.

Flacco is going to need to branch out quickly during the week, because we will need him in the next two games.

i think flacco can handle it......although i was a bit worried last game...even though we smashed the browns i noticed that flacco didnt seem as confderble and consistant as he was in the bengles game...

if the browns were a problem for him then he will have huge problems witht the steelers we will see how well he does against one the the best defences and how he plays in one of the toughest stadiums.

but its true that having 3 RBs will eventually tire down the defense. Ofcourse it means our offense will get tired but not as much as a defense because the defense will have to play pursuit of the RB. Which we have 3 of in McGahee, McClain and Rice.

ya i agree with you completely we are luckly we acually have 3 good rb's on our team unlike most wich gives us an advantage in like every game if we keep running the ball with all three backs mixing things up i realy dont think their defence can keep up and will be tired out in the second half while we still have fresh backs.

its just going to be a little hard against this defence though...

It will tire down their defense and will pay dividends in the fourth quarter. But if they stop the run early and put some points on the board, the running game isn't going to do much good in the fourth quarter.

Flacco will need to be effective from the start of the game moreso than our run game. If we can take the lead by the fourth quarter, no doubt the game will be in our hands. Then we can switch to the power run game with McClain and kill the TOP.

I'm more concerned with the first half.

There are a few Steelers fans that want to sit Big Ben for Leftwich just so Ben doesn't die during the game against us.

Ben will die during the game because of 2 things.

1. He still has injuries which will become worse if he takes the field against us.

2. Our defense is better then the eagles so he should expect to be sacked or hurt.

I would sit him out too. lol.
