Statement To Steelers
I think too many people are getting ahead of themselves here. The Steelers aren't going to go away even though we spanked them. This isn't a weakly built organization. Ya'll would be foolish to think that after Wk 1 things have already changed. I dont know about the rest of you but Id rather not talk until we've beat them in the playoffs and frankly would rather not even have to see them in the playoffs. Wk 1 is one thing, the playoffs are a different animal. As for the Hampton thing, I dont even care he can think what he wants. Im pretty sure if someone was trying to chop block him all game it would have been obvious and penalties called or he would be nursing sore knees.
This.

I'm going to watch every play for the chopblocking thing as soon as I get a chance. I did look at a few plays, Rice's opening run and the one at the goal line when he fumbled into the endzone. I'd say they have pretty legitimate gripes on both of those. The actual goal-line plunge was a thing of beauty though with Yanda just mauling Legursky.

Yeah, I think some of us are letting this get to our head. If this happens again in our rematch, and we also do that to at least one other good defense, then I think we can start puffing our chests a little ... until then, it was just one game.

Hey, and for the record, the Ravens looked fantastic. Not saying don't be excited, just not to get too high yet. You know what I mean Fly.

Apparently the Steelers don't know what they're whining about - LINK

SIlly Attitude? Our players weren't the ones running their mouths all off season when they should of been working out or doing player run OTAs. Your team is old. Period. It showed against the Packers that Harrison was out of juice and Polamalu hasn't really been the same because of his injury. You'll win some games but you will fall back into your Superbowl Hangover because your guys didn't show up in football shape.
Blah, blah, blah. I hear the same "my team is old" crap every year around here. Well, only a few months ago this same team went through you guys and on to the SB. Don't give me that same old story again. We had a bad game. We looked unprepared. And no one was yapping INSTEAD of training so don't even try it.

You always seem to have some bold prediction.

I guess the Steelers dont have a 24 hour rule if they are still whining about the butt whooping they received on Sunday

They should stop complaining and make sure they dont get beat down by the Seahawks..stranger things have happened

Hey Warden,

Didnt read through the whole thread, but try not to pay attention to the idiotic ravens fans. Ravens arent that good. Steelers arent that bad. Both teams are good. Both teams have had their fair share of cheap shots over the years. I can count a number of cheap or dirty plays that both teams have done, no big deal.

Just wanted your true thoughts on the steelers this year? How do you think they will fair?

Ha. I understand why you are sour grapes, I would be too after a 35-7 beatdown, but your players are too old. Hines Ward needs to go, Wallace, Sanders and Brown should easily be the top 3 wide outs on that team but they continue to put HInes out there for his run blocking and dirty hits.

You guys fell apart in the Super Bowl, like I said Harrison is old and hurt and Polamalu hasn't been the same since he got injured. And you are paying a Ike Taylor like he is a great corner lol.

Yeah you should bounce back against Seattle (oh look Levy is the referee) but the Steel Curtain did it's last call and this team will only be winning games from its offense. The schedule is easy but I don't see you getting by Texans, Titans or the Patriots. Rams and Cardinals could go either way and you have to play us again.

Ya that would be a great follow up to last week's huge victory. I know I'll be watching that game after our game is over.

Ya and they're going to be $20 mil over the cap next year as well. Gonna have to make some big time cuts.

Please. You only WISH I was spewing sour grapes. Why don't you grow up for once. Yea, we struggled in the SB, but we only lost by six points and we turned the ball over 3x and that led to 21 points. We still came back and beat the Ravens when it counted.

You have no class dude. None.

So by me commenting on your denial of your teams age and your attitude towards this coversation that I have somehow become classless?

There is an Ignore User section under settings. I suggest you use it. That or a Pittsburgh Steeler forum....

I tell it how it is. I gave your team a compliment in their receiving corps. But what else should I say about them? They didn't do jack on Sunday and I don't see them being a play off contender due to their age and injuries.

Grow Up? We beat the team that has held us back from 2 division championships in the last 3 years? Yeah, Im pumped about that because our guys wanted it more, our guys shut their mouths, and our coaches run a better lockerroom. I'm proud of our guys and we showed the world whose defense was long in the tooth.

If you can't handle that, like I said Ignore User: Alexir.
