Cam can do only so much, then its up to the players. Lighten up on him guys.

Attention, attention!!!
In beginning this thread, my biggest doubts for the Baltimore Ravens in 2011 is the play calling. (That is what prompted me to start this thread.) Cam Cameron MUST know his offensive personnel better and maximize their strengths in the context of his scripted offensive game plan for each of our opponents. Like the players, he is getting paid to do a job. If he does not do better than last year, and the Ravens underachieve offensively given their talent level, then I contend he should be replaced at the end of the season.
Get it, got it, good. (We should be the victors at home tomorrow!)

Okay, that i understand, but still he can call great plays, but the players have to do it.

Well said.
We must execute. (I know how trite that sounds.)

Barring numerous injuries to key personnel, the team would have to let him go if the offense underachieved. By letting all the offensive assistants go and essentially making him the QB coach in the off-season, they organization essentially put everything on him. If it fails, it's on him.

It is ?? then how do you explain our D being great under 3 DC and then we get mattison and we are severely lacking to say the least.
Well said. Mattison was about the worst choice that could have been made for DC.

Last call Cam. The man has no more chances to get this right. His play calling has been totally inexplicable in way to many crucial situations. While it's true personel has played a part in the past, but as a cordinater it has to fall on him eventually.Head coaches get fired for less than that.

I say we give Cam another week.

I'm a Cam hater and even I can agree with that statement. I try to give credit where it's due, and he's called a heck of a game so far.

Cam is smiling like crazy today. We fixed the O-Line for him got him a pro bowl FB and added different dimensions and he can finally put together a solid game plan.

Love the foot on the throttle.

It was nice to see Torrey "Ghost" Smith running around doing more of nothing.
LOL he actually did well in blocking. I saw him multiple times driving his man downfield.

With the game over, I can say Cam called an excellent game today throughout. If he keeps it up, I might have to apologize for doubting him.

cam may have called a good game today, and may have called good games when everyone said they were not, it all boils down to execution

I think the amount of points was largely because of all the turnovers from our D, but our O did also look quite impressive. Can't give Cam any credit yet, although I definitely can't take anything away from him.

Cam called a GREAT game. For everyone that said he doesn't know how to use his personnel, rewatch the game. For everyone that says he can't call a game, rewatch the game. Good offensive day!

I'm pretty sure that was our 13-3 season, and if memory serves the offense was pretty good after Billick took back the offense. But, replacing the OC with the supposed 'offensive genius' HC isn't the upheaval that we would need to get Cam out of town midseason. Harbs is never gonna call the plays offensively. We'd have to bring in a new OC with his own offensive philosophies and perceptions of our players. I don't think it'd be a smooth transition, and if we're going to keep Cam on because of the truncated offseason, I'm guessing he'd have to be pretty bad to cut him loose in the middle of the year.

Edit: Had a look, and we were 4-2 before the firing (which happened in our bye) and 9-1 afterwards.

thanks for the info.
