Anyone notice this game that we scored all our points off of field goals? This is a nice change instead of seeing Stover come in 75% of the time to kick a FG for us.

Although -- as much as I love Stover hes missed a FG in the 1st two games (47 and 48 yd i think).

My point is, its nice to see us capatilizing on our red zone drives instead of adding on 3 like the last couple years.

I'm very satisfied with what I've seen so far. The Steelers will really be a test for our team.

You mean touchdowns? But yeah, I hear what you are saying.

they had a factoid on chanel 13 on the noon news.
If I recall correctly the last time we scored with only touchdowns and extra points was 2006.

Also, 2006 was the last time the Ravens got to a 2-0 start, when the team's streak extended to 4-0 and finished the year with a 13-3 record, AFC North title, and the #2 seed in the AFC. ;)

its a nice thought to think about but as of right now lol its just that, a thought...an after thought if you will, Harbaugh and the team is dedicated to the concept of taking this season as well as every season after this with the simple but complex mindset of taking it "one week or one game at a time" which is a great strategy to go by because you have to be focused 100 percent going into the sunday battle's. If your not 100 percent comitted to what your doing and your mind is wondering elsewhere then your not in the game, the situation at hand, far too often causes mistakes and mishaps and ultimately cost us or any team, a big play and possibly the game, thus diminishng any thought of reaching the ultimate goal in Football.
Harbaugh has the right mindset and it is that in which he continually stresses to his team week in and week outand at every practice, Flacco got a rough awakening in throwing 2 interceptions and no TD's, possibly because his mind was elsewhere or whether it be in-experience, when he threw those 2 turnovers, you are quickly brought down to reality here and the basic concept of "taking it one game at a time" remains the only constant.

Only to earn us a bye week and then get our butts kicked by the Colts on home field. ;) ;)

Hey, better to be in the playoffs and lose, but still have a shot at contending for the Super Bowl, than to not even have that shot and not make the playoffs at all. Am I right, or am I right? ;)

You're right. Just giving you a hard time. I'll take a playoff appearence over nothing.

how do you call holding the number 1 offense to only field goals getting your butt kicked??? i know we lost but if our offense would have stepped up we would have won that game

We got shcwacked, dude. We were at home, and yeah, the D played well and kept them out of the endzone, but they still put up 15, they still won by 2 scores (again I would like to reiterate that the game was in Baltimore), and after the drive-ending pick by McNair at the end of the first half we never even challenged for the lead.

The final score.

The check in the loss colum.

Call it what you want a loss is a loss.

Hate to say it.

There are no wins or losses with astrisks.

For all intents and purposes the Ravens beat the Patriots last year.
Still a loss.
