Idk, I know we'd hear all about it if he was hurt. You know how the media loves their darling Steelers and makes excuses for them.

Maybe, it's because he's overrated, easily gameplanned for, and not as good as Reed.

He's not that great in coverage. Only when he's allowed to free lance is he good. Good blitzer. Good run stopper. Good ball hawk. Suspect tackler. Poor man coverage.

Ya if he wasn't on a defense as talented as the steelers he flaws would be a lot more obvious and he wouldn't be able to make as many great plays and take as many chances.

Before this game I said that I thought Troy was better atm, but I don't think so anymore. I think Polumalu is over rated and Ed had struggled with injuries with past couple seasons.

The most notable play he made was an unsportsmanlike penalty. Could've been two the way he was giving Rice the business after the play.

Yeah, the whole Steelers team got classless on that. It was hilarious, too. They'd stopped us on third down but, because of that penalty, they gave us a whole new set of downs. Honestly, the Steelers are lucky some of their guys weren't ejected - it was pitiful.

This is how I look at it..

Ed Reed in his prime was the best safety in the game, no debate about it...Ed Reed not at 100% healthy and in the later years of his career and its a toss up who is better, Ed or Troy....end of debate right there

I'm just glad Ike Taylor got caught with that bs headbutt. He got away with that in some past games and I know many fans were just livid about it

Both are great, i think troy is a better at tackles but ed has the best hands.

Yeah I can't believe Hairball acted the way he did today...but he had a bad day; not like this is consistent behavior for him. He's still alright in my book.

And oh yeah, he's not on Ed's level. Never was, never will be
