Looks like Ben and Troy are really making at an effort to clean up the mess created by the rest of the team.

it's just a little weird that this whole week all iv'e heard from Tomlin, big ben and company is how good the ravens are, how intimidating suggs is, an tomlin says us having new players makes him uneasy, and now this..its like there messing around i don't really like it either, but hey cant argue with polamalu, ed is better... haha

All the respect in the world to Troy, and I know a lot of this is a product of the media asking these guys questions. But I can't help but think that all these top notch Steelers like Troy, Big Ben, and Tomlin are trying to get into the Ravens heads with all of the praise they are heaping on us lately. Won't work this time guys, hope you're ready for Sunday.

He is a class act, and he has sense. Ed has a far greater body of work and success over a longer career than Troy. Not to say that Troy may not exceed that one day, who knows, but today, Ed is better. Any reasonable, informed fan should be able to admit it.

I can admit that Troy is a great player. I would love to see him in purple and black, and that is high praise indeed.

Polamalu is the most tolerable Steeler in my opinion. I just hate the guy because he always makes plays against us

If tomlin counts then i'd respect him the most. Hes a great coach. I respect Ben as well. Troy is classy too. Now for most of the team, not so much. They're all talking trash to Jimmy Smith.

I already tried starting one the other day. Well not exactly calling for him to be fired but posing a hypothetical about if he gets fired, who are the front runners to be the next offensive coordinator. The thread got shut down in like 3 minutes. I searched for another Cam thread but didn't find any and figured it would be better to discuss something current than to bring up an old thread from who knows how long ago.

Guess I figured wrong.
Ya that's an interesting thing to contemplate for sure, but it's really hard to say because most of the good guys have job, for now, so we really would have to wait until the offseason and some guys get let go, or maybe we could lure some other guys away from other positions. You never really know though unless there are rumours around.

I'm glad Troy recognized that Ed was better. They both won DPOY at SS and Ed is always a name that AP says when they are voting for DPOY

Troy is that guy I hate to love. I respect him as much as I can respect a Steeler. It's frustrating, because I just can't dislike the guy. Much respect.

Troy is a humble guy. He would never say that he is the best. His personality is such that he never compliments himself.

But he is right. Ed is the best. Imagine if Ed didn't have that nerve impingement? He doesn't hit like he used to because of it. We need to get this man into a Super Bowl!

Half the team is talking trash and the other half is sucking up, they're really worried.
I believe the Ravens may be a little more worried, with a mostly inexperienced secondary, espcially facing Ben.

We'd much rather face Ben than face Rodgers or Manning or Brady. I don't know why everyone acts like Ben is the one who gives us trouble, it's the Steelers defense. They force us to turn the ball over at least once every game.

He said ed is probably greatest safety of all time.

Everybody knows that. Look at the numbers.

I'll tell you what, I'll compare these guys complete careers once they retire as to who is better. But as a fan, I'd rather compare how good they are at the moment as that is whats relevant to the games and not who was better.

So currently for 2011 only, I have to lean towards Troy being the better player, but Reed gets the nod with the better overall career so far.

After the fight at the game today, I dislike him. Throwin punches at Rice? I liked him, not anymore. No respect. No class.

Ya pretty gutless thing to do. It's easy to be humble when you're on top, but the true test of a man is when things don't go his way. Says a lot about Troy's character...

Did Troy P. even play today? haha
Ya I saw him make one tackle (just a regular tackle) and let Anquan get behind him on that first TD. Oh and I also saw him trying to start a fight with Ray Rice (one of the smallest guys in the NFL) when they were down big. What a goon.

Oh ya I missed that because I was slow getting back from halftime. I didn't realize that was him, man he didn't even look like an average safety this game. I didn't see him get pressure on Flacco even once either. He just didn't look like himself flying around the field and making big hits and missing the occasional one. I wonder if he's hurt or something.
