I don't think the NFL has to worry about which game to make Primetime in Week 1. The ratings will be through the roof on all games since it's the start of a new season.

This. I think I'm right in saying we're already joint top of the league in prime-time games. Whilst it would make more sense for this to be prime-time than our game against Jacksonville for example we can hardly complain.

It is, I just checked the TV guide and here in my part of NC, Ravens-Steelers is on at 1PM on CBS.

It's weird because when they asked the experts what they thought the best game of this week would be it was almost unanimous that it was the ravens vs steelers game.

I like the one o'clock games. Especially for opening game. There will be a nice ceremony by the Army, as well as a fly over at Ravens stadium. This time of year the weather at one PM is usually excellent. Also earlier games tend to have less drunks attending and starting fights with opposing fans. I always feel bad for the kids when ignorant fans (for either team) start fights and curse at each other. At the end of the day, it's a game, plain and simple.

Looks like I will have to go to the bar this weekend. We get to watch Cincinnati/Cleveland here. At least it's a divisional game if I can't sneak out for a while.

Agreed, also have you noticed all of the sudden the Best rivalry in the NFL is the JETS and PATRIOTS , what the heck.

Now all of the sudden the JETS are a great team, i dont think so. To me a rivalry has to build up for a min. of 4 to 5 yrs, not after a yr where they have played each other for 3 or 4 games that were good and all of the sudden its the best rivalry.
