White Against Steelers

Why are we wearing white against the steelers?? I do not like that! I think we should be wearing purple at home, not white! So does anyone know why they decided to wear white?

Where did you hear we are wearing white? Besides its just a color. We didn't seem to do any better when we wore other colors.

but we are wearing white cause that is our hone jersey.. What do u think we should be wearing?

They usually do that early in the season, at home. It may be slight, but it's cooler in September when you're wearing white rather than black/purple.

They did it the 2009 season... and the 2008 season before that...

They posted the whole seasons jersey colors on facebook bout two hours ago
not every game is posted but there is a story saying when we will wear black jerseys and about this weekend

Technically white is our away jersey, purple is home. However, if it's going to be a hot day Sunday, wearing white and forcing Pittsburgh to wear black in the heat would be smart. Teams do it all the time, make your opponents wear the dark colors under the sun, try to make them fatigue faster.

Makes sense. We wear the light jersey if its hot, the Steelers in their dark jerseys will feel the heat more.

Also lots of fans like to wear the same color jersey as the home team. They won't be as uncomfortable sitting in the stands in middle-of-the-day heat in white.

Yes, we are wearing white (apparently) because of the September heat. Chances are we end up wearing purple in Tennessee the week after while they wear white.

The Steelers wore black last year in Miami and it was a steam bath that day and it did not affect them at all...i think making the visiting team wear dark on a hot humid day is all hype.
